We booked this place online. The check in was easy and there was a lot of parking. They only offer pop tarts and coffee for breakfast. The hotel is older but in a good location. The room itself was pretty big and had a refrigerator. The carpet was very comfortable. The shower had really good water pressure. It was located in a good area. They returned my deposit back fast overall had a good experience.

It has really cute pictures on Airbnb. That's why we booked the room. It's a vibe in the lobby and even through the initial hallway on the lobby level. But other than that, it's very low effort to make the place cute. :( we just had high hopes of a cute spot to stay, ya know? That being said, we were only there to sleep one night/shower get ready the next morning. So it's not like we absolutely needed a whole lot . But the basic room had everything. A decent bed. A tv. A hair dryer. All the essentials. Like, it's a decent spot for the price but I will say, I did see a small roach outside our door. I didn't see anything inside our room, but it still gave me the heebiejeebies. The staff was very nice though. And they have free coffee and pop tarts in the lobby in the mornings! :)

Definitely a retro budget vibe. The building and fixtures are dated. Came for a 7hr stay before an early morning flight out of Burbank airport. The bed, linens, and towels were clean enough. Late night check in clerk was efficient. Surrounding area can be a little sketchy. Parking is included and my rental car didn't get bipped.

Terrible. Nothing like the photos or descriptions. Dingy. This place is a scam. The website is totally misleading.

I got ripped off. This would be a borderline acceptable "motel"experience for $75-100 a night, but certainly not for $188 (w/ fees). Photos don't do it justice, but this place is old and nasty with ill-fitting ceiling panels, mildew, bad water pressure, and overall just not a three star experience whatsoever. It receives one extra star simply because I didn't have any additional issues and slept through the night (it's also a safe neighborhood). But, never again.

This is how the bathtub was left after they "fixed it".

We came back from our event, the bathtub was filled with sewer water. The whole room smelled like a sewer. We talked to the front desk and they told us there were no more rooms so we had to stay in the room we had. So, after a day of walking around LA, we were unable to bathe at all and were forced to sleep in a room that smelled like feces. The night of the incident, Joshua was very understanding and told us the management would handle it in the morning. So, in the morning, I asked to talk to management. When I was greeted by the manager in the morning, first, she was rude and not understanding at all. She had called me that day and asked for permission for the plumbers to enter the room. I gave permission. So this tells me that there was a KNOWN issue with the room we were staying in, but after the plumbers left there was no plan in place for us to move rooms. They must have seen the poop water in the room. When I talked to the manager, she said that since she had left me a message (a message I never received) that it was not her or the hotels fault. There is nothing she can or should do for us. She then said that she had messaged the night manager to give us another room, but the night manager did not see the message so its not her fault. She constantly blames others on staff without making any attempt to rectify what the HOTEL did to our room. I want my money back for the night of misery that the hotel put us through. The hotel DAMAGED our room during our stay and made our stay UNSAFE because of the biological material in the bathroom. Not only is this a breach of contract, but also a health code violation. I am floored that this manager I talked to this morning blamed ME for the situation and refused to compensate us in any way. This is a problem and I want to know how you will fix it.

I was looking forward to having nostalgia experience based on the website and its pictures but instead I just got plain o OLD hotel. The lobby and front desk were great. Fully decorated with a Christmas theme...it was great. My room on the other hand, not so great. Wallpaper was coming a part and some was missing. Loved the chair, table and fridge. Bed was comfy. I slept pretty well. There's so much potential for this property and I really hope they can get things together. And for breakfast they have coffee, tea, and pop tarts. That was cute. .

Let me start by saying this place has good bones and is on the right path. The lobby, adorable! I was soo hopeful with the lobby being as cute as it was that the rooms would be too...womp, the rooms are old and dingy and didn't have the same retro vibe as the lobby. It seems like maybe they're working through the building so I hope they truly bring some of those magic pieces to the rooms too. It was a comfortable stay, and I'd stay here again especially if we were checking out universal studios.

We enjoyed our one week stay here for two main reasons: the pool and the efficient service. When we called to get our room cleaned and linens changed they were able to get it done within 2 hours every time. If I needed to purchase an item from the lobby or ask a question there was always someone there ready to assist 24/7. The 2nd floor where we stayed had a laundry unit so we were able to wash and dry for under $5/ load. The pool is open until 10 pm and there is a small jacuzzi as well. This hotel is pet friendly and non smoking, but of course we are in Glendale so there was always someone smoking or vaping outside the balcony or outside the hotel lobby, but it didn't bother us. Our room had a double bed, had a mini fridge, and a kettle. Which was helpful because all they offer in the morning is coffee, fruit bars, and fruit cups in syrup. For the price and convenience of location I say this stay was definitely worth it.

For a hotel that's been around since the 70's, and rebranded with a 1950's/1960's flair, it wasn't a bad stay. The complimentary breakfast included Pop Tarts and coffee, but the room, retro look throughout the hotel made the stay enjoyable.

My husband made the reservation and I must admit I was worried after reading the reviews but we had a good stay. The room was very clean and we never felt unsafe. Of course it's not a luxury hotel but it had everything we needed and was clean. We didn't hear anything at night it was quiet and had a good sleep. The shower had a lot of pressure. We went to the lobby for coffee. We didn't see any breakfast but coffee was available and wasn't terrible. The lobby is very nice and I really liked the vending machine that had things like general medications and essentials it was pretty cool. As for the review about no cleaning service there is a sign in the room saying that it is done after 5 days stay but if you need anything you can ask for it. All in all it was a good experience and we would stay again.

well, the good news is that my rating went up since the last time we stayed here! The inside has drastically changed from a rundown hotel to a more modern place to stay I just didn't like that a few things rather, there's no curfew for the swimming pool, the walls were too thin to hear the next rooms conversations, there was no cancellation without refund, that they only had pop tarts for breakfast, that there were a few minor stains in our rooms, and that the Wi-Fi and Internet were very spotty to even do the streaming of the TV. Great location otherwise, great parking, great room to accommodate myself and my parents. Luckily we were not in the hotel much we didn't use the amenities.

I have stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Glendale multiple times and am a loyal Hilton customer…read more In general, I've always appreciated Hilton hotels because of their friendly and accommodating staff. Unfortunately, my most recent stay was extremely disappointing. There were several maintenance and cleanliness issues throughout my stay. The bathroom conditioner dispenser was not properly secured to the wall and repeatedly fell off during the night. Although it was supposedly fixed, the same issue happened multiple times. The coffee machine was also not cleaned properly. It still contained old black residue left behind by a previous guest, and I had to request a replacement. The worst issue was the bathroom. There was a strong sewage odor that made it feel like we were next to a sewer. I reported it to the front desk, but despite informing them, the problem was never resolved during our stay. To make matters worse, when I received my final bill, I was charged $3 for a bottle of water that I had used to rinse the dirty coffee machine because it was unusable as provided. What disappointed me the most was the lack of management involvement. Despite all of these issues, the General Manager never reached out to acknowledge the poor experience. A simple concern for the guest's experience would have gone a long way. I have always enjoyed staying at Hilton properties, which is why this experience was so surprising. I hope management takes guest feedback more seriously and provides additional customer service training to ensure situations like this are handled much better in the future.

This along with the amazing complimentary breakfast really sets this hotel apart from the others in the area. I have never seen a complimentary breakfast that offered as much as this one. The room was a BIOHAZARD and UNINHABITABLE. I've stayed in some questionable places, and this was by far the worst. The linens were paper thin and had urine stains, blood stains, and multiple hairs. Ok, well I'll just take a shower in the morning and get clean. Oh sorry, the shower head was completely rusted over, the tub did not drain, and you get to stand in dirt and hair and other people soup around your ankles while you shower in rust. There was a badly patched hole in the floor. Severe water damage. General wear and tear. Everything was dirty, dusty, and filthy. I asked management to unclog my tub, clean the shower, and get linens. They did none of these things. Expedia called the hotel and the best they could do was remove the stopper from the clogged tub. Management refused to give me my money back. Expedia gave like a 50 dollar voucher. I checked out and slept in my car. This place has decent reviews on multiple platforms. Now I highly suspect that these reviews were paid for. I beg, you. DON'T stay here. And if you pay at check in you will not get a refund from the motel. You have been warned. P.S. The hotel also benefits from a nice location in Glendale. Perfect midway stop from San Francisco to San Diego. It is within walking distance of several quaint neighborhood restaurants which added a nice local touch to our stay and made it convenient to grab dinner. The biggest drawback was the parking and traffic flow. It took us nearly 20 minutes just to get into the driveway to unload our luggage and check in because of the line of cars waiting to pull in. Checking out wasn't much better--we also had to wait while cars backed up in the driveway before we could leave. Parking is expensive, with self-parking at $30 per day in the rear lot or valet parking at $45 per day, plus a service fee. One of the highlights of the hotel was the bar and lounge area. After a full day of sightseeing, it was the perfect place to unwind with a drink in a comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast is served daily from 7:00-10:00 AM and offers a generous selection. There were sausages, scrambled eggs, French toast sticks, steel-cut oats, coffee, juices, and plenty of other breakfast options. The dining area was spacious, although it became crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to find a table. Overall, Hyatt Place Glendale offers spacious accommodations, a welcoming lounge, a great walkable location near local dining, and an excellent complimentary breakfast. The only downside was the congested arrival and departure experience, along with the costly parking.

Honestly, everything would've been pretty mid except for that They only had one elevator working out of four possibilities for a hotel with I think 18 floors and very busy. Waiting for the elevator especially when you're on the 11th floor so if you have luggage using the stairs is not really an option. It truly made every time leaving or coming into the hotel a very annoying process to have to wait in a huge line then be smooshed in a gigantic queue for the elevator. Also, the gift shop was so overwhelmingly overpriced. A little pack of almonds like a couple ounces was 6-7 dollars. It's super close to Transit and also the Americana so that's really why we chose it for this particular location, parking was also really expensive but I used one of those parking apps to find something nearby for like $15 instead of paying well over $30 to park for a night, . Additionally, just walk your butt over to Trader Joe's across the street and grab some items instead of paying out the nose at the gift shop. Didn't eat any food there. I didn't have any problems with cleanliness of the rooms, yes, it was a little bit dated, but my main complaint was just It was really inexcusable to have three of the elevators out on a busy weekend with probably close to capacity crowd at the hotel. They should've had an emergency person coming in to fix the elevator on that day. There is an outdoor pool that's heated, it's set online. I think that there is a hot tub, but there is no such hot tub. So we didn't try the pool even though it was heated because I think we'd really just would've preferred a hot tub. I was able to use a peloton bike to work out which I appreciated, but there is no sauna. It's all locked up, even though it appears that there's a sauna, and some places online list the sauna, the sauna is not functional. The gym is quite large.

The clerk wasn't outright rude, but for the first several minutes seemed pretentious, like I wasn't good enough to stay there. He didn't introduce himself or ask my name; I introduced myself and asked his name after check-in, and he warmed up a bit. It felt like I'd caught him doing something wrong or arrived before he was ready. I had to ask multiple questions because he didn't offer information or engage. My customer service was on point--his, not so much. I'd been driving all day and was exhausted, wearing very casual clothes, but he felt very judgey. I asked to see the rooms after reading reviews. The first was rundown and not worth the $150 he quoted. He kept going into the back office between questions, implying he was busy or nearly full (there was only one car outside). When I asked to see the other side of the hotel, which had allegedly been updated, he bragged about being fully booked, though I only ever saw three cars. Odd. The second room was just okay, but I was too tired to find another hotel, so I stayed one night. Few things frustrate me more than visible neglect and lack of detail. There were drywall screw heads popping out, scuffed walls, holes, and water-damaged bathroom drywall from a poorly placed glass shower door--crumbling onto the floor. The floor itself was dirty. The outer entry door was peeling badly, shedding bits of clear coating onto the floor and my hands. The blinds appeared to not have been cleaned in months--which should be done regularly. The bed frame was filthy--dust, debris, bits of wrappers and food. It was clearly dirty, with oils, handprints, and dried liquids (I'll leave that to your imagination). The closet doors, off-white, had visible hand grime. The disinfectant wipes I used were brown - yuck. The lamp was dusty, an outlet near the bed had a broken metal piece stuck inside, and both the bathroom vent and hair dryer were caked with dust. The dryer filter hadn't been cleaned in ages. The countertop above the mini fridge was detaching, the bathroom shelf was decaying, and the shower glass hadn't been cleaned. The creamy drip marks on the wall--hopefully conditioner or soap--remained, and the grout was mold-stained. A simple bleach spray would've fixed it. The shower water pressure was awful, with calcification that needs vinegar soaking. It also leaked from the stem. Meanwhile, the sink had too much pressure. The cleaning staff were wonderful--always offering help. The issues here clearly stem from management, not staff. I realize this isn't a four-star hotel and that my standards are higher than average. Having worked in property management and emergency response, I've been in many homes across all conditions and know what "clean" should look like. I attached photos (which don't even capture all of it) so others can decide for themselves. Public beds and showers should be cleaned frequently so dust, germs, and bugs don't build up. The initial clerk did warm up by the end, and wasn't outright rude, just awkward and pretentious at first. When I checked out, a different man was working. He was extremely pushy, insisting I stay longer despite me saying I had to get back on the road. Then he handed me a clipboard and said it was mandatory to fill out--a sheet listing my name, room number, and space for comments, stacked under previous guests' notes. I told him I'd review the hotel online instead. He insisted I fill in each section, so under "comments" I wrote "review on Yelp." Other than being pushy, he was friendly--but it was an annoying end to a stay that wasn't worth the cost. Not the worst stay I've had, but definitely not one I'd repeat.

Last night, I saw a young woman enter the hotel clearly under the influence alongside a young man. At first, I assumed they were together, but something about the situation felt off. The young man seemed to be following her and trying to control the interaction while insisting she was "fine" and didn't need help. What stood out to me was that Joy did not simply take his word for it. She stepped in, calmly took control of the situation, and continued checking on the young woman despite the man trying to speak over her. After some back and forth, I heard Joy directly ask the young woman if she knew the man. Shockingly, the young woman said no. At that moment, Joy immediately asked the man to step away and questioned why he claimed to know her and why he was following her. Once confronted, the man left. From what I witnessed, the young woman was then safely escorted and able to recover in safety. As a bystander, I cannot express how much respect I have for Joy. In today's world, many people would have ignored the situation or brushed it off as people "just having fun." Instead, Joy trusted her instincts and potentially protected that woman from a very dangerous situation. Because of her attentiveness and courage, that young woman was able to safely wake up without a stranger in her room or something far worse happening to her. Watching this unfold honestly made me feel safer staying at this property. Employees like Joy are rare, and the Conrad should be incredibly grateful to have someone so observant, compassionate, and proactive representing their hotel. On behalf of that young woman and as someone who witnessed everything unfold, thank you, Joy, for stepping in when it mattered most. The world needs more people like you. Keep up the amazing work.

The Conrad Los Angeles was the perfect place to stay overnight in LA. While not walking distance…read morefrom much, it was easy to uber. The hotel was very clean and accommodating. The best and comfiest hotel bed. The views and interior design were spectacular and the restaurant and dining options were delicious. The amenities were great as well. The hotel so kindly held our luggage after the check out time, which was a tremendous help before our late flight. When a hotel is as accommodating as the Conrad, it truly makes the whole experience. I will definitely be staying here again!
