This company took advantage of my 78 year old mother. She wanted to go with a small local company close to home. Delays after delays, they finally came to do the job of laying LVT. The quality of the workmanship was horrible! Her home is on a cement slab that obviously was not prepared correctly. You can see and feel bumps all over the floor making the surface uneven. She is still trying to remove the glue they used to adhere the LVT down. Two years later, it is starting to raise at many of the seams! This is not a highly trafficked home. I have been a customer of Glendora Floor Store for many years. I thought it was long overdue that I recommend them on several different aspects of their business. They know their products and how to install them. Their customer service is excellent every time. And they are the cleanest workmen that I've ever had in my home or business. They are prompt, respectful of their surroundings, and do what they say they are going to do when they are going to do it. I recently had some carpet taken out of 3 rooms and replaced with red oak hardwoods, which I have in pretty much the rest of the house. They were able to match the stain color to what was already there--it's remarkable! I had the carpet replaced in the family room, and Jerry knew of one that was perfect for my needs. It has a moisture barrier so no liquid can get down to the padding. This is great for my 2 dogs and grandchildren. The tile they laid in my home office matches the height of the hardwood so there is a seamless transition from room to room. I was extremely happy with the price, too. Glendora Floor Store has also done work at my business and I am completely satisfied with the work and the price. Glendora Floor Store did an excellent job removing our old carpet and replacing it with hickory laminate flooring. They also replaced the old baseboard. The task was complicated by old, badly-stained wood beneath the carpet, a difficult task that required chisleing out the wood and buffing out the mastic. Today the house looks new, and the floor throughout the house is level, and much cleaner now that the carpet is out. Everything was on-time, the crew professional, and it was a pleasure to have them working here. They were licensed and bonded - and that's important. Everyone is impressed. Amazing customer service is on full display in Glendora village at Glendora Floor Store. Everyone is polite, helpful, and most importantly, interested in getting you what will work best for you. We needed custom sized rugs and couldn't find any that didn't require a loan and/or our first born. We found a carpet that my wife loved and Jerry had it cut to our exact dimensions, backed so it wouldn't damage our flooring, and edged beautifully, all at an extremely reasonable price. Wanted some new carpet installed in our bedrooms. Got a few quotes from various companies and chose to go with Glendora Floor store. They knew the product and job the best. They put me at ease. Jerry did a fantastic job of communication (even after hours which is greatly appreciated). They worked with our schedule and installed on a Friday and Saturday. They were respectful of my home, and Jose and Bryan did a great job. There were a few minor details I noticed after they left. It's just me being detail oriented, don't think anyone else would have noticed but I was just being particular. Spoke with Mike and he had Jose come back within a few days to get it taken care of. That is greatly appreciated. Only downfall is, they moved out of their show room in Glendora into a warehouse in Glendora. Not the most ideal situation, but they are making the best of it. So hopefully they will be able to move into a proper show room soon. read more

I have to agree with the negative reviews below regarding poor customer service and lack of interest in smaller jobs. I believe the owner is a neighbor of mine as I see his truck parked all the time near my home. Like others, I thought I'd give small, local business a shot, since no one else seems interested in small jobs. When I entered the store, the salesman was busy with someone else. That's cool. But no greeting, or hello or we'll be right with you. I stood and waited. And waited. I could overhear the conversation. It was with a customer but not job related, just chit chat. I waited some more. Finally, I was able to ask the salesman if they do small jobs (just a bathroom). And he said yes. I had a sketch and the measurements with me and was planning to look at samples. But the salesman said he wanted to come look at the house. We set up a day and time. Someone called from the store, canceled the appointment and said they'd reschedule. I never heard from them again. I have to assume they don't want small jobs or neighbor referrals. Business must be good already. read more

Worst experience I've had! I went into this store to ask for a quote to change my flooring and talked to Bryan, he was helpful at he store and I asked him to send me a quote. I emailed him all the necessary information and didn't get an answer back. I left a message and later called and spoke to someone who said they'd let Bryan know but I NEVER got the quote. The worse customer service ever. If you're not interested in my business, just be honest and let me know know directly. Don't have me wait with no response. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!! It even irks me to walk by that place. read more

Our floors look amazing and the price was the best. They took care of our family like they were our own family. We could not be more pleased. Have to say I was so surprised by the level of service I received at the store!! Went in, asked for a quote and had a salesman out the next day to measure. Told him our budget and was given several different sample to chose from based on our sq. footage. New carpet was installed in less than a week. Couldn't be happier! My wife and I hired Glendora Floor store to do all of the flooring in our new home in July 15th of 2011. We purchased 656 sq. ft. of 12mm Govett Laminate Wood Bolo Colored (like a cherry wood color) for the downstairs and 828 sw. ft. of Soladad Tigresa Nylon (rice paper colored) carpet for the upstairs. Their prices were extremely fair and the service was awesome. They have an actual brick and mortar store in downtown Glendora, CA which makes me feel very comfortable and I've seen as much as 3-4 team members working in the store at one time which tells me they are busy and can afford to have that many employees working at a given moment. The person who helped us was named Jerry Nicholas (I believe he is the owner or part owner of the store). He was incredibly kind and did not try to 'sell' us. Though I'm sure he loves to get new business, he spent most of his time educating us and answering each and every one of our questions. He would inform us about both the PROS and CONS of a product which made me feel he really cared for our interests and gave us plenty space to browse the selection in the store in which there was a good amount of choices available. He'd say things like 'Ceramic tile flooring is very beautiful, but just know that in the winter, the floor can get real cold because of the ceramic material.' I mean WOW!, most sales people just tell you the good stuff and leave out any bad things regarding their product for fear that they'd lose the sale. Also, my wife and I can be considered picky people in that we ask questions most consumers never care to ask and some employees might find that annoying. However, Jerry was very patient and made us feel very welcome and never gave us the impression that he was bothered at all with any of our questions. Their prices were very reasonable and we got great service. Jerry always took my calls, even after the sale, whenever I had any questions (i.e.floor care methods etc.). Of course, unlicensed contractors who sell cheap product from China would be cheaper but I've heard enough horror stories that I made sure we chose a licensed entity with American-made product. Their installers were very kind and professional and seemed like they cared about us which showed me they are happy to work for their employer. We actually compared Glendora Floor store with another contractor and liked Glendora Floor store better because we had a gut feeling they'd provide us with great presale and postsale service which they have to this date. In the end we chose them because they were very knowledgable, affordable and just made us feel real welcome and comfortable. I would recommend Glendora Floor store to anyone within the area that they can service! read more

Horrible customer service!!! So being that my husband had used them before we thought it was going to be easy. We went in and workers were nice. They got Bryan to come out and measure. We then received a call with the estimate cost and left the message with my husband we had some questions so we figured that we'd call back, the week got busy and realized we hadn't called, but started to wonder why they hadn't followed up. We then called and no one at the store could give us any information about our estimate. You would think they had a file or something and the worst part was that Bryan wasn't working because he was out of town. We expressed how disappointed we were that they didn't contact us back it really seemed that they were not interested in our business. The person we spoke to assured us that this was not the case and they would have Bryan get back to us first thing Monday morning. It's been 4 weeks since that day and Bryan never called us. I decided to post this because after thinking about why they would not follow up the only thing we could think of was that the job was not big enough for them. We only needed to replace a 18x20 living room because my lab decided to tear it up. It was an urgent fix we needed and due to Glendora Floor's greed we were dismissed. Unbelievable!! read more

We needed carpeting for a bedroom and were impressed with their prices and wanted to support small business. When Mark came out to measure he said he would call us with the quote. We got the call with an estimate of over $800 for a 10x10 room. I asked why so high when carpet was marked under $4 a square foot. ONLY when I asked did he tell me there was a minimum labor charge of almost $100 because the room was SO small. Plus a $90 freight charge. He never offered this information until I asked. I had shopped for my new laminate flooring from pillar to post and even on the internet. In frustration, I asked a friend who installed a laminate floor I love years ago. She said she got it from Glendora Floor Store. My response? "I could never afford Glendora Floor Store." Well, I was WRONG! I got high end laminate, professionally laid on top of the line pad throughout my condo and it looks and feels amazing. It was a lot of money, but about the same price per square foot quoted by other places for lower quality materials. They also painted and installed 4" molding for little more than I would have paid for the molding. I dealt with Brian, Terri, Craig and Jerry over months as I chose it (my fault, not theirs). Juan and Geronimo worked in my home for 5 days. I have told anyone who will listen to me to give Glendora Floor Store a try. read more

We had a new composite wood floor installed in our kitchen, den and dining room by another floor company. A week after the install, we had a flood. (Curse those refrigerator ice makers!) The company who did our wood floors wanted way too much to repair the damage. We decided to go with tile instead of wood and came across the Glendora Floor Store. Jerry and staff were quite helpful and the cost for the new tile floor and fixing of our wood floor was very reasonable. The new foam underlayment for the wood was much better quality than the other guys. I wish we would have found the GFS first. read more

We were initially very pleased with the service of Glendora Floors; our sales rep was prompt, came out to measure and gave us a quote when he said he would and was helpful with suggestions, etc. We had hardwood flooring installed in our entire house except for the bedrooms and in those we had carpet installed, and the two bathrooms where we had ceramic tiles installed - all by Glendora Floors. Our rep said he would stop by during installation to make sure all was okay, he didn't but then all did seem okay. Until, that is, we noticed a hissing sound in the bathroom which turned out to be a leak cause by a nail which had punctured a pipe while the installers had nailed on the new baseboards. I don't know how much power the sales rep had but he and the store were not very responsive. We had to have the newly installed new vanilty pulled out (resulting in the backsplash chipping) and the new baseboards were water damaged. We made repeated attempts to contact them with no response, finally, Glendora Floors refunded us a tiny amount of money (about $100 - the whole order was over $14,000), they maintained the chipped backsplash was not their problem (even though it happened because of the leak). We liked them and would have gone back to them to do our kitchen (planning it now) but we simply cannot understand this lack of customer service. read more
