2 years ago I Spent over $400 for carpet installation for 1 room. The carpet has now begun lifting in 3 separate areas. Their labor is only guaranteed for 1 year and quoted me over $300 to restretch it. This price is unacceptable, I won't be returning to this business. I'm hearing America's Finest Flooring on Arrow Highway and Bonnie Cove are getting great reviews, I will be checking this place out. I used them a year ago and was really happy with the service and the carpet. I just had them install what was supposed to be the same carpet in 2 other rooms but instead of the gray I requested (I took in the old invoice to make sure the information was the same) I ended up with tan in 2 rooms I had just had painted gray. I approved what appeared to be gray in my driveway and it wasn't until everyone left that I could tell that the color installed looked more tan. The carpet swatch is clearly different against last year's carpet. (see photo) Because of an equipment failure on their part, they were a day late coming so it was also very chaotic because I had a chain of events set up and I had someone coming to reattach furniture for safety after the carpet was put back. The expectation that I would just change all my plans for a new day was a lot but I get that things happen so I rearranged what I could and agreed. I can't imagine having to deal with moving things back out, especially with things attached to the wall, but their only suggestion was that the new carpet pad is left in place and I *just* pay for another 2 rooms worth of carpet putting the blame on me for approving a carpet that looked right while in the driveway. I even confirmed that it was the gray because they also had a tan on the truck. I would have no way to know that there are 3 shades of that carpet and to make sure it was right. That's their job. I am very disappointed this time around. I can't afford to fix it with cost of carpet and paying someone another 2 times to come deal with attached furniture nor can I repaint the room. read more

They allowed us to take samples home to see in our own light. This certainly helps when choosing colors and styles!! Once we picked out our product, they actually ordered it and held if for about a month for us, while we had some painting done first. The team did our family room and bedrooms, and all turned out great!! The pictures represent the before and after for our family room. Additionally, because of the size of our family room, we did have some extra carpet. A&M made us a very cool (matching) runner for our hallway! They added a rubber backing, and bound the edges. My husband and I went into A&M Carpets to look at Carpet. All types of flooring to choose from. Donna greeted us with a warm welcome & a smile, sweet lady. We looked at all sorts of very thick,dense,plush,pet safe carpet's. We decided on two colors, and we took two sample boards home. We went back into see Donna, she answered all our questions with such patience and grace. I said to my husband. I like Donna,! I would like to do business here, all because how wonderful, hardworking Donna is, and how truthful A&M is! We choose Fawn, looks like beach sand, with little bits of dark flecks, it goes perfect with our decor, and our red oak furniture and oak molding. We sat down with Donna, set a time for Dave "owner" to come out and give an estimate. Carpet entire house except kitchen, BR,'s Fourier. We choose to upgrade the padding to 1/2" - 8 lb. Moisture protected. Donna called to make sure they had "Fawn" in stock & local? Yes, placed on hold. We were given a quote and a date, we were happy to tell Donna let's move forward. We placed 1/2 down. Pay the balance once completed. Omar & Martian came out Thursday removed old and on Friday put new carpet in. Did a great job., they vacuumed , swept inside and out wow amazing!. Donna checked in to see how things went. Everything went extremely well, NO Complaints!! We all worked together, and we are so thrilled with our choice, fresh painted walls, oak, & the Fawn carpet looks amazing! The home is warm, cozy and beautiful. We will be back in august to look at kitchen flooring, kitchen make over in August. A&M Flooring has flooring for every budget. We didn't have a budget re padding & carpet. I am so thrilled we met Donna on Saturday, we just liked her! Donna was NoT pushy, relaxed, listened!!, kind, empathetic we need this job ASAP. We all laughed. I had sampled some carpets and flooring for Mohawk online but was very up in the air about what kind and what color. A&M have a very big range which was incredibly helpful to get eyes on laminate vs vinyl vs real wood as long as the range of carpets as far as silk strand vs pet friendly lines etc. I felt really scatterbrained about it. From our first visit Cecilia was a friendly welcoming face, she was extremely patient and helpful over multiple visits while we couldn't make up our minds. She showed us around all of the options, where to find pricing discussed options and time frames. She was so kind and helpful and very informative. We were able to borrow any samples needed. We ended up getting carpet in the bedrooms of our new home. The ordering and payment process was incredibly easy, pricing was great. The order was on the faster side of the estimate, the team came in and put it all in perfectly within one day. We needed an installer to put in laminate flooring that we had already purchased, and were so pleased that A&M was willing to do that! The gentleman they sent did a beautiful job, and even helped us with some unexpected snags found during the demo (uneven surfaces, prep work). Our only regret is that we didn't purchase the laminate from them, because we haven't been pleased with the quality. In January 2013, an ill, disabled relative requested I help freshen up their home. I obliged. The carpet and carpet padding in the home was well over 35 years old, the carpet was worn, faded and dirty, the carpet padding was disintegrating. The party lives on a fixed income. The only way to afford new carpet and padding was to buy it using a credit card. As always, first I contacted another reliable service provider in the carpet (cleaning) business to ask if he knew anyone. The company referral was A & M Carpets. I needed a low budget carpet already in inventory and ready to install. I drew the home floor plan and noted the measurements for the rooms requiring carpet and padding. I then sent my floor plan with notes to A & M via E-mail. My image had color-coding with detailed notes etc. I also sent an image of a carpet color sample I had in mind along with images of the existing carpet and existing flooring in the other rooms of the house. I wanted them to see how the existing flooring looked so they could better serve me. Based on what I sent them via e-mail. I received a quote for a low budget carpet and padding already in stock. They had a sample book and a roll of the product they quoted which would fit my requirements. I drove up, approved the products and issued a deposit. The next day the installers installed the carpet. Since the installation was not performed in my home, I am only including one image for you to view. The customer service was EXCELLENT! The installers were not only on time, but arrived earlier than expected. They were neat, careful, and completed the job in a very timely manner. Recently purchased a house and was looking for new carpets. A&M had a good selection and best pricing. The lady Diane was nice and accommodated my installation date changes as my contractor kept needing an extra week to finish their job and so I wanted the carpets to be installed last. The A&M installers were nice and did a great install job. They just did their job and installed the carpet as promised without any complaints or up charges. As you get competing quotes you will understand what I'm talking about, some companies will make up anything to increase your quote. First time was 5 stars, Second time was 1 star = 3 stars Updated 6/2019: I was looking to demo my bonus room which had tile and to install carpet the same as before at the hall and stairs. The guy came to my house about 20 minutes late but he did call to say he was running late. I asked him if he could take off his shoes as it was upstairs. He asked me if I had booties for his shoes, which I did not (not sure if most home owners carry that around unless they were selling their home). He then said that he didn't wear socks, anyhow whatever come into my home with your sneakers. He measured the room and was going to give me a quote on Monday, I said Ok. Monday comes around I did receive a call with the quote. I asked the gal if she can send the quote to me via PDF. The quote was for 40 yards of carpet and was similar in pricing to my previous job which included 14 steps so really was more expensive. I was going to move forward with the job but wanted to know the cost details of the base board and carpet. I asked for a breakout via email and received another quote, this time with a $200 increase, stating a mistake (or bait and switch). I've been in sales for 15+ years and you should review your quotes before submitting to your customers or honor it. I still try to give them a chance and asked about carpet thickness as now I'm looking at other carpet stores since my experience here now hasn't been pleasant I needed to ask multiple quotes to keep them honest. Long story short, they still have not responded to my padding question after an email and gmail. There was 3 other carpet stores that beat their pricing.
