When my wife called the office she was told the installation was going to be the same price as the very large window that was installed. I think that is kind of ridiculous! So my wife asked if she can purchase the glass only. The person in office (Diane) asked her for the measurements. Update: About a month after Glendora Glass & Mirror repaired the middle section of my 3-section slider, I noticed a "new" problem--the right section had pulled out of its pocket and was letting in lots of cold air. I thought this had something to do with their earlier repair of the middle section, that in replacing the glass, the right section had been jostled out of position. Turns out, this was actually an original flaw in the Milgard design. The right section has no handle and so we thought it was fixed and permanently in place. But Glendora's technician pointed out it's also a slider, which explains why it was able to move and let in air. But kudos to our technician, who offered to not only put the right section back firmly into its pocket, but also lock it in place with screws so that it won't come out again. Both of us were kind of amazed at this design--a right section of a slider without a handle but that could be opened by someone with the intent of gaining access. So the technician not only fixed our cold air problem, but also a potentially big security problem. Excellent, professional service! read more

Called Glendora Glass and Mirror for an estimate to replace 3 smaller stationary windows and a larger stationary window for my home. All 4 windows had moisture in between the glass (original builder windows over 25 years old). Eddie came out within a day to measure the windows and to confirm the framing was still good to use or would the project require new framing. Eddie confirmed the existing frames are good. Late one night, I got a panicked phone call from my elderly grandma: robbers had tried to break into her house through a large window (fortunately they ran off when she turned the lights on). I was wondering what to do after one of our glass-top patio tables broke into a jillion pieces. Buy a new table (which I discovered is virtually impossible to do without buying four chairs as well) or find a glass company that would make a new one. I went with the latter and found a gem on my first call: Glendora Glass & Mirror. They told me how to measure the table (even with their detailed instructions, I was still able to mess it up, but they had a solution that worked perfectly). Amazingly, at least to me!, they were also able to tell the thickness of the old table just by looking at a couple teeny tiny pieces of glass that I showed them. When I went to pick up the new piece, I realized there was no way it was going to go into my car or was there any way I would be able to carry it. No problem. They delivered it. When they delivered it and tried to place it on the frame, it was obvious my measuring capabilities weren't anything to brag about. I was off by about a hair -- okay, maybe two or three hairs, but I was off. The gentleman that brought it said he knew a way it might fit, but he would need to take the frame and glass top back to the shop. A couple of days later, they called, said the glass fit perfectly, and they were ready to bring the table back. The cost for the original delivery and placement charge/taking the top and frame back to the shop/performing whatever magic they did so the top fit the frame/redelivering the completed table was only $75, which was the original delivery cost. No extra charge for the additional steps, even though it was my fault. Great service. Very knowledgeable friendly courteous staff. I highly recommend Glendora Glass & Mirror! read more
