They conceived a way to run the line sets internally within the existing internal duct work. The install required out of the box thinking and we did have challenges with the condensation lines. The mark of a good team is how well they communicate with one another and how they respond timely when given curve balls. They were professional, able to diagnose the condensation line issue and my system is now running beautifully. The team worked well together and operated with integrity. I tried calling their office multiple times that day and each of the following days. Every time I called, both during regular office hours and on the weekend, I was shunted off to their messaging service instead of being connected directly to their HVAC team. It was unbelievably frustrating that I could not talk to anyone who could do anything to help, especially during regular office hours. I left a message each time anyway, but did not get a response from a member of the team until four days later. No part of this experience was acceptable. I understand that schedules change, parts don't come in on time, etc, but I cannot understand the lack of communication. I had to stay home the entire day of my appointment waiting for the technician, which disrupted my work schedule. I spent the next day at home too, just in case he or any other member of the team called and was able to make it out then, which meant canceling other plans. The only reason I kept calling after that instead of giving up and finding help elsewhere is because I had already paid over $800 to get a replacement part ordered. All of this happened after sweating through multiple weeks of Patriot's lead time that my girlfriend, our pets, and I spent in the summer heat with a nonfunctional heat pump. Now that I have my refund in hand for their "service", I have sought the assistance of another HVAC service company in town who actually picks up the phone when I call and shows up for scheduled appointments. I will be encouraging my friends in the valley with HVAC issues to avoid Patriot at all costs. I'm at a loss to explain how they're still in business.

And their follow-up to my subsequent questions has also been excellent. From the first inquiry over the Artisan website (www.artisanelectricinc.com) to the first conversations with the rep about the various system options; and on through the design and layout process with him; on into the site preparation walk-through with the general foreman; and all throughout the install experience with the crew. The crew was always prompt, professional, and managed a clean, well-organized work project space in/around our house, and they were all super pleasant to work with. Strong team! More to the point when we hit an install hiccup -- upon seeing the panels layout on the front street side of our low flat roof and were unhappy with the way it looked (not Artisan's fault but a failure of imagination on our part) -- we deeply appreciated the quick response to my email about it from our Artisan rep and the crew's professional "let's put our heads together and find a solution" mentality.
