If you ve ever walked by Aurora in Newport Beach, you probably noticed the studio next door that always seems to be having a good time. People always seem to be curious about what the hell is going on inside the place with loud music floating into the street, and trust me, its always something. A friend of mine introduced me to Glenn and he s probably the most un-photographer-like photographer I ve ever met or worked with. And trust me, I ve worked with a lot of photographers all over the place. Glenn is definitely different. The dude is a surfer who grew up in Newport Beach and had a career modeling for brands like Ralph Lauren in his youth. I guess he realized he had some talent on the other side of the camera because he s been shooting for everyone in OC ever since. 20 years now I think, with some big and interesting clients. Working with Glenn was an amazing experience! I needed a great photo for the cover of my book, and contacted Glenn via email. He not only responded within 30 minutes, but he responded by calling me, not by email. He has such great energy it's infectious. His rates are very reasonable ($85 for the shoot, $35 per photo), and his MUA (BIG shout out to Devon!!) was absolutely amazing. I couldn't believe how beautiful I looked - I actually cried when I saw myself. I'm not used taking pictures, so I was nervous. Plus my previous (and very first) photo shoot with another photographer/MUA was an unpleasant experience. But Glenn and Devon made me feel so comfortable I was able to relax and have fun. It was also great getting to know them a bit. They are genuinely good people. I'm sure I will be working with them again. I have used Glenn 2 times now. I found him randomly on Yelp when we wanted family pictures. He came highly rated so I figured we would try him. Let me start out by saying my husband hates pictures and my kids usually have no patience. Glenn is amazing- he has the best sense of humor, made everyone relaxed and everyone had a great time! The pics came out beautiful as well. Glenn has studio right on the beach in Newport so we just walked over. He has kids of his own and knows how to handle them- my girls are begging now to go back to see him! He has an Xbox in his studio when your going over the pics to keep the kids busy and some treats.
