Alas, all good things must come to an end and when I graduated from high school, I no longer visited the area as much. My nostalgic visit the other day allowed me to speak with one of the new owners. THAT should be enough…read more Honestly, I really would NOT understand why they are still in business through all these years seeing that whatever they sell, one can probably get cheaper either at Meijer which is less than a mile north OR the TWO gas stations even LESS than that! I would not have had any issue with this store because hey, I DO believe in supporting your local business but when it's a hole-in-a-wall place with MATCHING BAD SERVICE, that's another story. Where is this coming from? The long and short of it is I'm on my way home from Meijer, I realized I forgot to buy a lottery ticket. I stopped by this store to buy it. After I was TOLD to wait for about 5 minutes -- because the guy behind the cashier was counting money and we all know THAT is a good thing to do IN A LIQUOR STORE where your customers can SEE YOU -- he helped me with my ticket and proceeded to entertain the customer behind me even though I STILL have some questions regarding one of their merchandise! The customer even KNEW I was not done! How rude! They lost MY BUSINESS that time -- and quite possibly, future ones. I will ONLY be back if it happens that I forgot to buy my lottery ticket from Meijer again. Maybe even then, I'll drive a couple of more blocks to the MOBIL station and get my ticket there so I don't have to stop here! :(

Last week, I stopped in to see if the new Crown Royal Blackberry was available yet? They kindly explained their order was due in on Thursday. The next question what will you be charging? They said no more than $5 over. Fair enough for me. Well, I called on Thursday, they did get it in but only three bottles left and YES they would hold a bottle for me for three hours. And they honored their price, without asking. I appreciate the fact they held a hard to get bottle and didn't gouge or rape a customer, like myself. Thank you
