Unlike some liquor stores Paradise is clean and neatly stocked to help you quickly find what you are looking for. The owner is knowledgeable about the products and helpful with making a recommendation. The spirits are competitively priced maybe slightly more than other stores but worth it for the convenience. There is free parking on both sides of the building or you can park on the street.

They have just about any liquor you might desire. They also carry domestic and craft beers, seltzers... pretty much if you can think it, they have it. I spoke with the owner at the counter who was so kind. He gave me his business card and said that if they don't have something I want, they will order it! That's a pretty cool guarantee and you can't beat that kind of service. I ended up getting what I needed for my husband and I grabbed some craft beer for me! I will come here straight away from now on when I need something instead of going on a wild goose chase!

The beer prices are not bad, and the liquor selection is not huge but they have pretty much what normal people might want. They do have a lot of half-cases, where they've cut apart a case of beer and taped each side shut to make it into two 12-packs. Is that shady? Yeah, a little. The neighborhood feels a little shady too. I would stop here by myself during the day or with a friend at night, but I wouldn't spend much time lingering around by myself after dark. We've seen quite an interesting cast of characters wander in and out while we were trying to decide which beer to get, and the owner seems to know the regulars. I learned that most regulars at shady liquor stores do not have all their original teeth, and it doesn't seem to bother them at all. It bills itself as a one-stop shopping place, and it certainly does have at least 2 kinds of chips, some gum, no-brand plus-size pantyhose, and several different magazines, some of them with their covers obscured to protect one's dainty sensibilities. Plus if you're hungry and don't mind a little dust, you can pick up some Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee or Rice-A-Roni along with your beverage. Bottom line: I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here, but I wouldn't go out of my way to NOT shop here either. I recently had a child and had an extremely limited window to find a particular and very special bottle (which was dumped from the barrel on his birthday) to open with him on his 21st. It took a lot of work to track down, but State Fair Supermarket was the only place I could find that actually had this bottle. The only problem was the store is in Michigan and I'm in Georgia. Simon was incredibly helpful and accommodating with my request to hold not just one but five of these bottles (yeah, his store got a lot of this difficult-to-find bottle) while I tracked down a friend of a friend who could go pick them up for me. This is the type of bottle that typically flies off the shelf and the fact that Simon was willing to hold these for me is really pretty amazing. Just check the store's Instagram. They get a great selection of products all the time and actually care about their customers. If I lived in Michigan, this would absolutely be my go-to store, and I'll definitely stop in anytime I find my way up there.
