But what impressed me the most was how he handled one customer in particular. This person, first of all, apologized to the rest of us for holding up the trip because she was late and there were a lot of last minute things she needed to take care of with Michael. She also told us that she is moving to another state. She had another friend with her that drove her to the pick-up spot, and she looked noticeably distraught. In fact, they both did, which apparently was because they were saying goodbye to each other. We were ready to leave, but Michael paused and turned to this person and asked if she would like to say goodbye to her friend one more time. She asked Michael if that would be ok, and he replied yes, that we have some time in the schedule. She took the opportunity, and got off the shuttle, and she and her friend immediately hugged and sobbed loudly on each other's shoulders. Upon seeing this, I heard one of the customers in the back say, "now they're going to make me cry." Honestly, I was tearing up too when I saw this sensitive moment. After a few minutes, we finally left. The drive itself went well with no problems. I was the last to be dropped off, and I told Michael that what he did was a very nice thing. He humbly shrugged it off, seeing it simply as an opportunity to help someone out. Kudos to you Michael. We need more people like you in this world.

I also met the driver Michael when he picked up my husband, he was very kind and courteous, that's why I was not surprised when my husband told me that one of the passengers was leaving the state and her friend was crying while waving goodbye to her. Michael told the passenger he has time to wait and asked the passenger if she wanted to say goodbye to her friend again. All the other passengers were watching from inside the van and saying the scene was so touching that makes them all want to cry too! You don't see this kind of kindness everyday and when that happens, it's a blessing!

Another, older woman then comes up and tells us it's closed. We appologize and mention the first woman, but offer to leave. She locked us out onto the street so we had to go around the entire complex to be able to get to our car. Won't be visiting again or donating, no wonder they can't get real exhibits. Don't waste your time.

If you have a camper trailer, this is an excellent value if you have an extended stay in Rochester, MN, especially for the mayo clinic. Highly recommended for a no nonsense rv park and value.

The sites are level gravel with paved drives, located north of the restaurant, along highway 52. It is noisy next to the highway. The sites have grass, but it hadn't been mowed when we were here. It had rained all week and our shoes were soaked walking in the tall wet grass. There are pine trees in some of the sites with pine cones. There are no picnic tables for campers to use. Pets are welcome. The street lights don't work in the park so it is dark. The office has the restrooms/showers, but you have to pay to take showers. The toilets and sinks are free and very clean. There were washers and dryers, but we didn't use them. There was a comfortable lounge. The office wasn't open when we got there and we never saw any one in there while we were there. You fill out a form provided outside the office door, and slide it under the office door. When someone gets in the office, they take the form and payment, then put it in an envelope and hang it on the outside of office door for you to pick up later. It's confusing the first time when you get here. The restaurant looks like the office. NOPE! This park is only open April to the fall. It was quite pricey ($45 per night) for just the hook ups, not having someone in the office, no picnic tables, unmowed yards, gravel lots, and pay to shower. If we had to come to this area again, we would stay here, but we would shop around for better prices. It was nice having a restaurant close by. Shopping is 5 minutes down the road.

Judy was a fantastic host; she served a lovely breakfast in the dining room every morning. Highly recommended!
