This Walgreen's is one of them, but the closer to present day we're talking about, the less frequent my visits have been. I have yet to make a 2026 visit, but I did come just a few weeks before this past New Year when I was trying to complete my shopping for a gift exchange that was happening the next night. If you haven't figured it out yet, this place is one where while I haven't been in recently, I have been in here more than enough times that I can safely say what my thoughts about this place are without any worry they will change anytime soon, if ever. Honestly, this Walgreen's is really just a place I would go to if I really need something simple from there like a gift card, wrapping paper, or maybe even a light snack. I never pick up meds from their pharmacy because I go to a CVS for that. I used to get their soft drinks from time to time until I found cheaper options that were more in line with what I needed. It was never really reliable when I used to eat frozen meals a lot more often in the 2010's. It was always more useful for something like the ice cream bites or the like. As for the inside of the store itself, it's basically fallen in line with other Walgreen's in the state. They're a struggling franchise. While I can still sometimes get what I need from here, the post-pandemic world has certainly not been kind to this location. It also hasn't helped that ever since The SoNo Collection was built this has inevitably taken traffic away from this Walgreen's. Maybe a little too much traffic away for this place to be relevant anymore. I don't mind this Walgreen's and I'll still come in if the situation absolutely calls for it, but I don't know for how much longer this location is going to survive.

Prices are always a couple of cents lower than spots closer to 95, and it's pretty easy to get in and out of. The pumps work, the squeegees are functional. Altogether a great place to stop for gas.

They don't charge extra for credit which is great! I hate when some gas stations do that. They are also open late and right off exit one on route 7 so if you are coming from Danbury, Wilton, or just main ave it is super easy for you to get to. I have never had to wait in a line going here and there is also a traffic light right outside so you can easily get out of the lot even during rush hour! The best thing i would have to say is the staff, they always ask how I am doing and that really makes a difference. I gave the attendant cash and when I went to pump my gas, it still showed the credit price. I politely told the man behind the counter that the price still reflected a credit purchase price and he IMMEDIATELY got very defensive and very rude, insisting that he plugged it into the computer and therefore it couldn't be wrong. I honestly don't even know what he was saying - it made no sense. What I knew was, he was extremely nasty to me and was not going to fix the issue. Luckily he gave me my cash back. Finally, a young girl came walking from the back, on her cell phone and called the woman at the register a bitch while speaking to whomever she was talking to. She grabbed three packs for $2.99 each and walked to the register. The owner first quoted her a little over $12, she thought it was weird but didn't say anything and was going to view her receipt to see why the price difference from what she figured in her mind. Upon paying, their credit card machine malfunctioned so he took my mother's credit card to another register to the front of the store and charged her over $14 (she called her bank), wouldn't give her her receipt and made her feel very uncomfortable while she tried to ask her receipt. Now, what, you may be asking yourself would prompt this guy to write a review of a gas station? I mean, what differentiates one gas station from another. Gas prices? Nope. Food? Hell no. I don't eat gas station food (and you shouldn't either). Wait for it...it's the bathroom! This was literally the cleanest gas station bathroom I've ever seen. Most gas station bathrooms look like what I'd expect to see in an Iraqi prison. Not this place! It was literally cleaner than my sons' bathroom. It was so clean that I actually found myself wishing I needed to have a bowel movement.
