Called and said up front I needed a rush repair as my wife was going into the hospital for a major surgery. About 10 days later I get a technician who says he needs to order a belt for my dryer. Several weeks and many calls later I find out they still don't have the belt but are expecting it later in the week. However, they can't schedule me until the belt comes in. I cancel and go to Lowes and buy a new dryer which delivers the next day . They call while I'm in the middle of my purchase and say they found a belt and can repair my dryer the next day. Too late. They suddenly found the urgency I requested on my first call. Highly disappointed but I still got a bill and paid it. I should have been told when I first called that they don't do rush repairs. Came out for warranty service as they were contacted by the manufacturer. Did the diagnostics properly and were thorough, said the part would be ordered, and installation would be made. That's where the good ends. First, the diagnostic was incorrect. They identified the issue as a transmission issue with the appliance. A second opinion, by another company, identified only a pulley and belt needed replacement - covered under warranty. Second, I have cats - 6 to be exact. So yes, there is a litter box smell in the room. At no point during the visit was it ever indicated this was an issue. Instead, after not hearing from this company for 2 weeks I followed up. Only then was it indicated that the technician would not return to finish the job due to the smell. OK, I get it. Not everyone likes a litter box smell. At no point during or after the inspection was this ever mentioned. I offered to remove the litter boxes, and the company still refused to come out. It is highly unprofessional to not contact or notify a customer of an issue. It is equally unprofessional to make a customer contact you before being told of an issue. This kind of behavior might work in a one-horse town where you are the only warranty provider. But they are not. I would not recommend this service to anyone at this point. My experience with Gliedt Appliance was incredibly disappointing. Week 1 - The GE warranty service website set my service up with this company and I was contacted the following day by a man from Gliedt Appliance and told I would be contacted some time that week to set up an appointment. Even though the website had indicated next day service. I did not receive a call that week. Week - 2 - The following Monday, I called and was told the technician who services my area was on vacation for the week and because the technician is the one who schedules the appointment, and he didn't do it before he left on vacay, I'd have to wait for him to return to get scheduled. When I asked if there was some way to get on the schedule now for when he returned, I was nicely told (paraphrasing)I'm sorry this happened. It is our fault but we are unable to assist you even the slightest bit further. Have a nice day. Week - 3 - Today, I did not receive a call from anyone at Gliedt. I called GE and reported the issue and it has been resolved. When you contact a company for assistance, you expect to actually be assisted. There was zero attempt to resolve the situation or address my complaint. There were things that could have been done to build customer confidence but, they did nothing. read more

I contacted Gliedt Appliance to repair a Jenn Air induction cooktop and an appt. was scheduled a couple of days later. They didn't show up for the appt., so I attempted to schedule a new one, which was scheduled a few days after that. They didn't show up for that one either. Their idea of customer service and client respect is abominable. Metro Appliance recommends them as their preferred appliance repair and warranty service source. If I were them, I would take a hard look at what is really happening with their customers. Of course, I will never contact Gliedt again (this is actually the 2nd bad experience I've had with them) and I will not be so quick to buy from Metro knowing what the future might hold. read more

I used Gliedt Enterprises a while back,I was having problems with a dishwasher. I called and scheduled a time for the technician. About 30 mins out he called to inform me he would be a lil early, and was wondering if he could come 15 mins early. I obliged and said no problem come on. He came in did a diagnostic on my dishwasher and found out that the memory board fried. So he quoted a price to fix it. We decided to go ahead get it fixed, took him about an hr to do the job. After doing his job he made sure to turn it on, and go threw the cycles. Reason for 4 stars is I think the pricing is a lil steep!!! But very dependable and very friendly workers. Waited over 3 weeks for an oven repair of a well known part. (Igniter for a frigidaire gas range. After 3 weeks the guy shows up with a broken part and doesn't even show remorse or a sense of urgency, just says oh well we will order another, it's not our fault... no one in any hurry to help us and several more weeks estimated! Called 2 other companies, both carry the part on their service trucks regularly as it's not an uncommon part at all. Found another company who will do the repair in less than 48 hours. Roger is amazing. Responded immediately when the freezer on my new Whirlpool fridge quit working. It's about 1 year old and I purchased it from Home Depot. I made the service request from the Home Depot warranty dept. and the scheduler said it would be 5 days. However, when Roger got the ticket, he immediately called me, made room in his schedule and worked late into the night to troubleshoot and get me going. I could not have asked for better service. I was in contact with Giledt for service on dishwasher that was under warranty, they came out and looked at dishwasher and said there wasn't anything wrong, about 2 hrs later the dishwasher stopped working, I have tried multiple times for them too come back out but they always have scheduling issues between the home office and technicians. Once an another appointment was rescheduled and they supposedly ordered part that needs replaced, they never show up for the appointment, I suggest never using this service company for anything. read more

The technician was nice, but the customer service at the home office is pathetic. My dryer motor went out, the technician confirmed my diagnosis, and said he had to order the parts but wouldn't know when he would get them in. He suggested I call his office and get an ETA. The WORST in customer service. My washer has been broken since Sunday, 5/2/21. Filed a claim on Monday with insurance, Wednesday I had a BREIF phone call asking the make and model (I was at work, so I didn't have access to it) Thursday I send the make and model #. FINALLY, get them scheduled to come out (Thursday) and they have the wrong address, so I call and give them the correct address (on answering machine), OH, you don't live there, well we won't be out until the following week. Ordered the part (went to the wrong address) I had to go physically go get the part. Gliedt sent a text stating "text me when you have the part" I did about 15 minutes later....CRICKETS...NO RESPONSE. I texted the next day "appointment?" CRICKETS...NO RESPONSE. So today, I FINALLY GET A REAL PERSON and she's combative she knows nothing of when I placed the claim, she only sees that it was on the 10th (8 days later) than when I originally called. SO, now they want me to verify the part number of the part that was sent out (I'm at work..) isn't going to schedule an appointment to fix it until part # has been verified. Said they will call and schedule an appointment for Tuesday, and she kept saying Wednesday, so I asked her which is it, she says Tuesday. I scheduled an appointment a week ago to have someone come to my home to repair my dishwasher. The appointment was for today and I was told I would get a call in the morning notifying me a time the technician would arrive. Well, at 1230 I hadn't heard a word. I had called 4 times and left a message with no answer and no calls back. Finally, I got an answer. The woman told me they didn't receive the part in time. So, they pushed my appointment to the following week. Long story short, we sat at home all day waiting on the tech and was never given the common courtesy of a call to tell us he wasn't actually coming today. Josh from Gliedt called me and asked what the problem was and said he would order the part he thought I needed, after my giving him the serial number and model number. I called and asked when they were coming out (after 2 weeks of waiting). They said my husband called and cancelled it. I said that is impossible. My husband died 6 months ago.
