I don't live anywhere near a Glo in my state but they still made me pay 2 full months and they were snotty about it. Glo is such a great experience and below are the reasons for my recommendation: * It is in a great location in south Overland Park with hours that would suit most anyone's needs 7 days per week. * It is VERY clean and beautifully decorated. Jason, the owner, has spared no expense. * Jason, along with the staff (Jacqueline, Shane, Alexis & others) have excellent customer service skills and are very helpful and knowledgeable regarding each of their beds. I always have a great experience each time I go. * The cost for the monthly membership is incredibly reasonable and simply put...a no brainer. Also, there's an option to freeze your membership should you decide to stop going for a few months which allows a person to lock in their monthly membership rate. * It's great that Glo only takes walk-ins which means there are no appointments required. Because there are so many beds, there's hardly ever any wait. * Glo's offerings are Luxury Sunbeds, Spray Tan Booths, Dry Sauna, Wet Sauna, and Red Light Therapy! I use one of the red light therapy beds almost on a daily basis. I believe most beds are no more than 12-15 minutes therefore it's very easy to get in and out in a timely manner. * Jason, the owner, recently informed me that he will be getting blue & green light beds in the next couple of weeks as well which is exciting. * Glo also has 2 incredible massage chairs that are state of the art. They massage not only your back but they also massage your bottom, arms and calves...they're amazing! * Glo offers a variety of great products that include bronzers, self-tanning lotions as well as other lotions. Buying the monthly membership was the easiest and best decision I've made towards taking care of and pampering myself. I've tanned at about 3 other salons and grew to end up leaving with a bad taste in my mouth after a few months due to hidden fees or them trying to sell me on lotion every single time I tan. BUT LEMME TELL YOU ABOUT THIS PLACE. First of all, the guys up front are phenomenal at their jobs. They explain in detail how the different beds have different features. They tell you when your membership is going to be drafted, what the best deals are, don't try and upsell you all the time AND they walk you back to your tanning bed. They have such a friendly staff that make you feel like home, and even have your lotion WAITING FOR YOU on the counter w your name on it (upon request). I will never tan anywhere else. Celsius Tannery at Quivira and 119th is the only place I would ever go for my tanning. I use the spray tan but have used their tanning beds to before. Jason the owner is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He is professional and personable and so fair with his pricing. Their customer service is TOP NOTCH. One time I felt like the spray wasn't getting me as tan as usual and he promptly insisted he give me another complimentary spray. I even told him I wasn't expecting that but he insisted. He is always making the place more and more beautiful and aesthetic so he invests a lot of time and $$ always improving the place. The place is super clean and the staff has always been so nice and professional too! They care about the customer experience. His beds and sprays are top of the line. My skin hasn't seen more than 5 minutes of sun at one time in the last 2 years. Basically I'm whiter than a vampire. It was time to change that. So, I checked around to see what tanning places available. Celsius Tannery is affordable and the location is perfect. The beds are clean and the staff is professional. The prices aren't bad for tanning and I haven't found that they try to talk you into packages that don't save you money, in order to get a bigger sale. The only issue I have, and it's a personal thing, are the hours. I wish they were open later, but that's just me...They are open long enough for most people's schedules...I just happen to be a night owl. read more
