    The website says that the salon can complete a custom tan. I called and was informed that they…read moreschedule via a group chat with the sprayers. I had a few questions to ensure selection of the right services. I'm Black American and really needed help with 2 custom applications within the next couple of weeks for an event. Understandable that our business may not be a huge source of revenue. I don't understand why if the business doesn't offer service for populations with darker melanin this isn't just stated. They did apologize that they weren't able to help, but I can't begin to express how many emotions rushed in with this experience. Updated Close: The last message from the business is highlighted in the third image at the bottom of the screen "Okay! Sorry we couldn't help." That is actually verbatim the text. We can align that the business said it could not help. The challenge with using text, is the elimination of one's ability to understand tone and in some case's context. For me scheduling a simple service I was initially excited about resulted in tears, frustration and humiliation. Requiring the use of text to schedule an appointment... well simply put, it's a service gap within the business. The defined gap for Tan360 is there's no way for the customer to get support in identifying the right services from someone who can provide experience or expertise in an unfamiliar subject matter to the consumer. The team was not able to answer questions. The initial review was completed and submitted prior to Brina's call attempt. To close the loop, this was and is my experience through my lens as a Black American with Tan360. I didn't provide false data, nor capitalize any part of the subpar experience, screenshots were provided for support. and I referenced the business and practices I experienced. It's simply that, my experience. It feels 1964 'water fountain'. While, I believe it important to share my experience with others, I'm comfortable with the notion that Tan360 did not experience or feel any part of what I did. The target is to bring awareness to others to avoid what I experienced. If Tan360 gains useful nuggets, increased cultural awareness, or even impact awareness from the review, well I think that's cool as well. The key is this, if this is the experience to drink from the fountain, it's not the water I want and that's my choice. I clearly communicated the concern to the business and was very open about the review prior to posting. Attempting to call after I had already closed the matter with Tan360 staff to not actually discuss any part of the concern but rather to schedule the appointment is dismissive, and oblivious. Starting with, 'hey, I understand we didn't get you what you needed. I'm sorry, would you be comfortable with speaking with me directly? I'd like to help,' is a great way to open the door to uncomfortable conversations. How about just simply saying, "I'm so sorry you experienced that. It's not my desire, so thank you for sharing. I'd like to help." There are a myriad of responses... minimizing my experience or review however.... is not the best approach.

    This rating is for the company, not the staff, who were terrific. Came in the weekend before Labor…read moreDay weekend, and Aedan was terrific as was the young lady at the front counter. They explained the options, and offered me a trial package called 'The Tour'. After Aedan entered my information and charged my debit card, I did my first of two tanning sessions. A second tanning session is included in the package, along with a spray tan and two touch up tans. The experience and customer service were exemplary. The two at the counter deserve a 5 star. My 2 star rating is for the company, with which I gave every opportunity to make right, a purchase error. I returned the following Sunday, to do my second tan session. You have a week and a half to do all five things. Aedan said there was no record of the purchase or of me in the system. He remembered me from the previous week and entering my info and even recalled which bed I used. I had driven 9 miles from my home, only to be told there was no record. He then called the help line, at which time I pulled up my bank account on my phone, and showed the debit record to Sun Tan City. Aedan confirmed the number coincided with their location and told whomever talking head it was on the phone with him, that he saw the bank debit and recalled me being in the week before. Instead of owning up to the clerical error they told him I would need to go to the "contact us' link and jump through hoops and over hurdles. The chatbox said you'll hear from us soon. I sent two messages yesterday and one today. No response. I guess at least I got one of the 5 items I paid for. They got their money, so to hell with the potential new customer. And before the company goes and blames the employee, I literally watched as Aedan entered my info, and rang up the purchase. He did his job, so don't go blaming him for whatever happened. I have proof of debit to my bank account, but apparently it doesn't matter, because the computer glitch is evidently the customers fault. I'm just very glad I didn't purchase a membership package, and only lost the amount of the remainder of my 'Tour' Great support for your franchise employee and what a way to make a customer want to come back! I told you I'd leave reviews after I gave you multiple chances to resolve this. You ignored me. So I'll be hitting google and facebook as well. Again, Aedan and the young lady up front, you were great! Very friendly, understanding and tried your best. I'd hire either one of you in a heartbeat. Sun Tan City, I feel like I got cheated and that you couldn't care less about customers or issues brought to your attention by employees.
