Select your own table. 4 of the 6 of us walk in together and we grab couple-three tables that will seat all of us. The host comes over and asks whether we are sure we need only that much space (standard seating for 6) because it is so much more difficult to be moving chairs around later on when they're busier. My go-to spot on Main Street in Edwardsville for a quick bite is Sneakys. It all started as a food truck, but now it's a cozy little restaurant that used to be a brewery. They've recently upgraded to a full kitchen, so they can now whip up some delicious food. There's even a patio area outside where you can enjoy your meal on a nice day. I highly recommend trying their Borracho Tots. They're topped with queso, bacon, fresh jalapeno, and a fried egg. The queso is creamy and delicious, and the bacon adds a nice crunch. I will open by saying I'm typically not much of a smash burger guy. I think most times these type of locations tend to be overpriced, pretentious, and sacrificing burger quality for showmanship. That is not the case with Sneaky's. Had one of the best burgers I've had in a while in an awesome setting that reminded me of an old town British Pub. The burger menus was extremely varied and the beer was also excellent! Will definitely be back! Only true downside was they served tots instead of fries. Who doesn't like a Wagyu burger? They are so tasty. I have a bar near my house in Godfrey that serves Wagyu, but when I have the craving, I drive all the way to Edwardsville to get my fix. My recent visit was after making my final yearly property tax payment at the county treasurer office. As I was walking back to my car, I decided to treat myself and walked an extra block to Sneaky's. My plan was to just have a cheeseburger and a beer. When I read the menu to select my burger, I noticed for a few dollars more I could get a lunch special. The special included a burger, 1/2 order of tots and a soda or iced tea. That's a good value and it's available 11 AM - 3 PM. I stuck to my plan and had their, Lester Moore which is a plain ole cheeseburger. I choose, Pepper Jack as my cheese and took a pass on adding onions and pickles. The rich flavor of the Wagyu was so good. It was seasoned simply with salt & pepper. My choice of Pepper Jack, was the perfect cheese in my opinion. My receipt says my bartender/server was Dany and she was fantastic. She was so personable and friendly. Her bubbly personality is perfect for her job. She was also waiting tables, so that girl knew how to hustle. As a reminder, Sneaky's is a tater tot establishment. No French Fries, here. read more

I kinda kick myself for not reviewing sooner, but after a year of visits, I can confidently say Sneaky's has been a consistently great place to enjoy lunch, dinner, and drinks. I'll start with the food. Get a burger......any burger!! Try them all because they are all great. Tyler adds a seasonal burger to the menu every few months, so maybe try whatever that is while it's offered. They have gluten free buns and can make low-carb adjustments. I'm also a huge fan of their drunk tater tots. mmmmm The atmosphere is relaxed fun. There are kitschy stickers all over the chairs. There's always some kind of Xmas light string up that makes you smile. There is a patio in the back and on nice days, they open up the windows along the front of the restaurant. We went in early on a Wednesday afternoon. Our bartender/server was on top of it considering she was the only one working, and it did get busier as time went. Went to Sneakys for the first time today and it was awesome. Got there when they opened at noon and got a great seat by the open window. It's a beautiful day and the breeze felt great. The wife ordered the Lester Moore, a simple cheeseburger with Sneaky's sauce. She didn't care for the Sneaky's sauce (very picky) and was disappointed she couldn't get it with lettuce, tomato, mayo, notta. Apparently, homey don't play dat. We ordered a side of tots. Wife thought they were okay but would have preferred fries (picky). I also would have preferred fries but I must admit they were some of the best tots I've ever eaten, crispy on the outside, hot on the inside, and no greasy taste or texture. Well done sir! We went mid afternoon so it wasn't overcrowded but they filled up soon after. We had a great server that joked around with us and took care of everything. The burgers are wagyu burgers. We got a few different kinds and cut them to switch with each other so we could try more. The GOAT was my favorite but I also like the aunt Babette and Josie wales. I had the hot mess burger and it was one of the best burgers I've had. They don't have fries, only tots, but they did their tots well and the fries were not missed. They also have a special sauce that is pretty good. The waitress was friendly and recommended a good cocktail. The cook also was nice and asked if we liked our food. So I me and my sister came to give the restaurant a go. I got the G.O.A.T (Goat Cheese, Caramelized Onion, Cherry Compote, Arugula) and it was sensational. My sister had the Lester Moore (plain cheeseburger) and she adored it. The server brought us sneaky sauce that really dazzled up the burger. The only thing that didn't hit all star status was the Borracho Tots the egg white was still runny and the cheese/pepper/onion topping kind of got lost in the sauce. Went to Sneaky's Friday March 27th. Had tickets to the Wildey Theater across the street. Concert was going to start in 45 minutes. They seated us at the last table available almost immediately.
