    Kids Fish Sticks with fries

The fried fish dipped into their house made tater was incredibly buttery and worth returning for on its own. Lots of seating, tons of easy of parking with friendly staff & a great overall ambiance. If anything of note - I do feel like the four wonton Ruben egg rolls for $16 is a little steep but looking forward to coming back and trying more things. Cheers!

Food was really good and flavorful ! Scotch eggs were on special and done well. My husband had a HUGE piece of fish with his fish and chips and I had the chicken 'leg' (it was a dark quarter) mashed were done really well with some red skin in the mix. We just had iced tea but folks at the bar seemed to be having a really good time ! We'll be back !

Stout chicken with mashed potatoes and carrots

Service was wonderful. Our waiter was knowledgeable of the menu and was able to guide us to good choices. We had the fish and chips and the Stout chicken. Both were hot, flavorful and prepared fresh. The chicken litter Lu fell off of the bone. The fish was a huge fillet with deliciously seasoned beer batter. Prices seem a bit steep but the food was good. My only complaint would be the cleanliness. Our table and menus had dried food on them and the floors were sticky.

The food was very flavorful and came out quickly, but the muscles truly needed a piece of bread or something to make it worth the price/ fully experience the sauce. The Reuben was simply great. I'm not the biggest fan of cabbage, but the cabbage with bacon was delicious. The dessert was also lovely. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We sat in the dinning room and there was a table playing their personal music out loud, which I did not appreciate.. the manager stopped by to check on us after that occurred/ they had stopped. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. We'll be returning to check out the other menu options.

Brand new Irish pub in town. Menu offers a nice range of options, cocktail menu was fun, and the ambiance was good. Service was prompt and friendly. We visited on the very first day they were open and it was a good experience overall. I'm looking forward to trying their other menu options.

Craft Beer - Chicken Wings - Tots…read more I'm a fan of Global Brew Tap House. In my opinion, they have the best wings in Edwardsville and beyond. I've tried multiple sauces and cannot pick a favorite, because they all make my tastebuds dance. Pairing the wings up with a cold craft beer and a side of tots makes for a great lunch, a treat for Happy Hour and a super dinner. I am a stickler for the quantity of my flats and drums being the same and GBTH always serves me matching numbers. The wings are always good sized, crispy and meaty. Again, they are the best wings I have had on the Eastside of the Mississippi. This August they are doing, Pawgust. When you buy a craft beer from Alaskan Brewing Co. a $1 from ever beer goes to Gateway Pet Guardians. I drank an extra beer on my last visit and I will make sure to go back a couple more times during August. I like it when I can eat, drink and raise monies for a dog charity all at the same time. I always sit at the bar and the service is attentive and friendly. If the bartenders are friendly, I can only assume the table servers are equally as good. If you want wings and a craft beer, Global Brew is where you need to go.

They were a bit too salty for my taste, but otherwise were cooked well and the spiciness was just right. Service was good and it was dog friendly too with a doodle pooch sitting at a nearby table.

Morrison's Irish Pub - Alton, IL…read more We finally stopped into Morrison's and it delivered that cozy, old-world Irish pub charm you want when you walk through those doors. I had the Irish cheese sandwich, Justin went with the corned beef -- and both were genuinely good. Comforting, hearty, and exactly what you hope for in a pub meal. Now... the kitchen was moving a bit slow this visit. Was it noticeable? Yes. Was it worth the wait? Also yes. Because Sam -- the female bartender -- absolutely made the experience. Fun, engaging, and the kind of personality that makes you feel like you're already a regular even if it's your first visit. That kind of service turns a "slow day" into a good memory. The menu is packed with authentic Irish favorites, and honestly, next time we're absolutely going to lean fully into the classics -- because this feels like a place that does traditional comfort food right. One small wish: I really wish they made their own chips. The bagged chips were a little lackluster and felt like a missed opportunity next to an otherwise hearty, made-with-care menu. Overall: a great spot that was likely just having an off day -- and still absolutely worth your time. Don't leave without ordering the pear cider. It is absolutely fabulous. Bright, crisp, lightly sweet, and dangerously drinkable. We'll be back -- and we're coming hungry.

Today I tried a bowl of creamy Potato Soup, topped with Bacon and Cheese - delicious! Oh yea, paired well with a cold brew too. For entrees, ordered the Bert's house burger (combo chuck/brisket/short rib) with Swiss and Mushrooms - hits the spot! Comes with a generous portion of fresh cut fries yum! Also ordered a French Dip (to-go), with shaved beef, Swiss, au jus and a horseradish cream. They were light-staffed today, so service was slower, but with a good pint and decent food, just relax and enjoy the atmosphere! Many other menu items to choose, so I will return soon to try their other mouth-watering meals. ENJOY!

I ordered their pork chop, which came with asparagus and layered potatoes. The pork chop was served with a chutney sauce made from apricot, black, and golden raisins. This pork chop is somewhat unique to St. Louis; it's a huge bone-in chop, nothing in Naples, FL can compare. My chop was cooked perfectly. Now, as to never being here, I am exiting the building. There is a small dining area with an Irish band playing. I turned to my son and said I had been here before, pointed to the table I sat at, and told him I had Irish stew. It was in my drinking days, and I am sure I sang all the tunes with the band.

We were seated and it was even busier. It took some time to order drinks and even longer to order and receive our food. Nothing unreasonable especially given the sheer amount of people there. But guess what we enjoyed our table conversations while the drinks were routinely refreshed and when the food arrived it was perfect. While "just basic bar sandwiches and a burger " everything was prepared as ordered. The appropriate temps. Mostly importantly it was just good tasting. Hats off to the cooks and the service providers! Impressive

When you walk in there's a bar in the center of the room and seating along the walls/area. They have draft beers, specialty cocktails, and a full bar so there's something for everyone. Reading as always is fundamental. There are numerous signs but I'm also reiterating kids are not allowed past a certain hour so if you're trying to come with kids PLEASE plan accordingly.
