Essentially, my girlfriend and I tried buying a 2013 Volvo here, which was decently priced and had about 45K miles on it. Took it by a mechanic, only to discover the brakepads were absolutely shot, the back tires were faulty, and the steering wheel gets insanely shaky if you go faster than 50 mph. I had my old car ( a 4 door Jeep Wrangler) for over 18 years, and I still got a fair trade-in as well as a nice discount because I bought a 2025 model. My new ride is sweet, and I almost have ALL the technology under control. The sales staff were super helpful and the business and customer relations staff totally decent to deal with.( Michael, Ernest, Mark, and Tanya, CHEERS!) Dealer backed out of agreed upon deal and wasted mine and my wife's (and infant son) time by not telling us about an apparent deposit already in place on vehicle wed been discussing for two days. Negotiated in good faith and worked out deal with salesman and sales manager, and arranged time to come wrap up deal this afternoon, twenty minutes later they said a deposit had been made the day prior. No one mentioned to me the need for a deposit, or I would have made one (though I guess it was already too late). That's some BS! I work in sales and if I did that, I'd be banned from all the groups I sell in and completely lose the trust of my network. Now reading other reviews about unprofessionalism at the dealership and after this interaction, I'd steer clear of Global Mini. I've bought two MINIs here and have used the service department a few times. Everyone is always super nice and helpful from start to finish. The waiting area is stocked with snacks and beverages while you wait. Most recently, I purchased a new car from Peter P. and the experience was easy and fun. The financing folks were great as well. STOP!!!!!!!! 1 phone call with the service department was all I needed to realize I shouldn't expect much in terms of transparency. I wanted to know why they charged $752 for an oil filter and gave descriptions like "critical, severe, and heavy oil leak," yet they neither checked, topped off, nor changed the oil after installation. The car was 1 full quart low just a few days later. They said oil had leaked onto the lower motor, causing the mount to weaken--but no photos or videos were provided to support this claim or to show that the severe leak had damaged anything or splashed onto the lower motor. They changed the filter housing, alternator bracket and motor mount with no clear explanation or attempt to show proof of any damage to the vehicles parts as a result. SEE DOCUMENTS BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In my experience, a car with a severe oil leak typically leaves visible oil on the lower engine, not just residue, as stated by their certified MFS. As an authorized dealer for Mini and BMW, I expected a higher standard of service and transparency. I realize that everyone's experience is going to be a little bit different than mine and I hope that other people have experienced something different than me because otherwise this business needs to be shut down. It started out about 7 months ago when I first took my car there for an issue that my key fob read indicating that something was wrong I took it there and I was told that it needed a new battery I paid almost $900 for a battery 2 weeks later the same code read across my dashboard indicating that something was wrong this time I take it back to global with the same reading and now they gave me a plethora of other problems and I asked the lady what needed to be done in order to get my car running it charged me about another $900 give or take, Go and pick my car up that afternoon only for it to shut down a third time and I had it towed back to global this is the third time that it has read the same indication on the key fob they kept my car from the first week in October all the way up until today being April 5th of 2026 and now they're telling me that the problems with my car is going to cost me $5,400 and believe you me I have no problem paying that but who's to say from a novice standpoint that this is what's going to get my car up and running it's right the same thing three different times and the staff at global imports in chamblee have given the three different issues that were wrong with my car and you've kept my car all this time before you were actually able to find out what the issue was. If I was told that it was $5,400 or $5,800 initially I would have paid that but because I was told two different things previously and I paid for those what sort of assurance or insurance do I have that if I paid this amount of money that this is going to conclude the issues that I have with this car and these supposed to be professional people this is the car that they manufacture and you couldn't tell me what was wrong with my car after all this time. And each time I've had my car serviced I've had my car service with them rather be it be something small or something as major as this I trusted you guys that you were knowledgeable of anything that had to do with mini coopers and you guys failed me completely. I've had to have my car towed there three times that I've had to pay for because of their negligence and even outside of having to have my car towed their three times I've probably paid for services that I'd never even needed from the jump but because I trusted you guys knew what you were doing I paid what you told me was wrong with the car but I'm not paying $5,000 or close to $6,000 and you guys are not knowledgeable of what's going on with your products. DO NOT GO HERE! I believe these reviews are fake. I purchased a used car from this place a year ago. AFTER I signed, they changed the pricing on the paperwork. I returned the next day and complained and they changed it back. I was there 7 hours because they said they were "Making sure the breaks were done and it had ' ALL OF IT'S FLUIDS FILLED". The following day I had to return because the breaks gave out proving that they didn't fix them as they told me they did. They fixed the breaks and went on and on about how all of the fluids were topped off and the oil was changed now." Over the past year, I have put over $2000 into this car in addition to staying current on maintenance. Today the transmission went out due to having NO TRANSMISSION FLUID. The car only has 70k miles. I am self-employed and this car means everything to me. What would it have cost them to fill the fluids they way they said they did? I came here because I need my break fluid flushed but also to solve the issue with my break lights (or so I thought I had lol). I have an electric car, so I don't need to come in but like every two years lol. I love the lounge area, which has your normal snacks and drinks (though do wish it had the soy creamers lol). I went here to get a car. It was a trade that was perfect for me. They explained that it needed brakes and oil change and they were working on it as I did paperwork. I agreed to a price. They brought the paperwork and we finalized. It took 7 hours. After I got home I noticed that they had changed all of the pricing we agreed on AFTER I had signed. They added nearly 3k and never said a word. I went back and management fixed it but I got the impression that this is just what they do. Then my brakes started grinding. I took it back, as they were supposed to fix the brakes. I had to go back 3 times but they finally fixed it. One month after I had to pay another 1k in repairs (they said it only needed brakes and an oil change). DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

I hate that I even have to do this but at the end of the day, I have to be honest. My initial experience purchasing my car was so amazing! Then after that, it went downhill. I had the car for three weeks when I got the call saying I needed to come back in and re-sign my paperwork I thought that was odd but I said okay the iPad was acting up while we were going through the process. After that was done I was called again two weeks later and asked to bring the card back because no emission test was ever done on the car. Now that scared me but again I went along with it and brought it back up there. Then I realized my tag never came in the mail, so I went up to the tag office and was told my tag was never filed for which was 2 1/2 months after having that car. Thank god they gave me another temporary tag. Now after only 4 months of having the car my brakes are squeaking, and my air is running funny. I don't recommend this place. Well the sales men and managers will blatantly deceive, mislead and lie to you and use every pressure tactic to close a sale. I dropped by to check out the mini couper on 6/15/2024 but it was too small for our needs. We liked the countryman s, and I had a fully paid off mint condition bmw 435i convertible, so we started talking numbers, it was late and we were hungry and the salesmen was non stop yapping the entire test drive so we wanted to leave and come back another day. They obviously didn't want us to do that. They gave us a low offer on the trade in, and when I told them how much I can get on private sale they lied and said I would still have to pay 7% sales tax on it ga so what they were offering was comparable. We then asked how much would we loose on the purchase if we brought it back after a month or so, and at first they wouldn't commit to a number, but then me and wife insisted on knowing what the potential depreciation would be. The salesman said, depending on market change of the car prices we wouldn't loose more than 10% and explicitly stated around $4000. Based on these two statements and the fact we are tired and o have a headache and the dealership is closed already and Sunday all dealerships are closed. I the 4k didn't sound like that big of a risk to drive the car for a few months and return if we didn't like it. Well surprise and surprise, when we tried to do that 2 weeks ago, they wanted 30% depreciation and had no intention of honoring their terms cause we didn't get it in writing. Not only that but they also wouldn't remove around 2250$ of extras they tacked on at paperwork time of protections that they claim had already been applied, but when I called about a paint swirl I found on the car they said it isn't their fault, and failed to follow up even though they said they would have someone come out take a look. I had a few issues with my Mini. I had a broken motor mount years ago (which is odd for a new car). It was still under warranty, so they fixed it. A year or so after that I had another broken motor mount. This time it was out of warranty and was pretty expensive to fix. :( A few months later the chrome trim around the headlight flew off. I bought a replacement from Amazon and replaced it. Recently I've been hearing this clunking sound on the front passenger side. I it took to a local mechanic. They said they initially thought it was the motor mount, but saw that it was recently fixed. They pointed out that the headlight was not reinstalled correctly. This resulted in the headlight not fitting correctly and putting pressure on the chrome trim (which explains why it popped off in the first place). The mechanic also said the AC line was not reinstalled properly (apparently zip ties where used?!). My experience with the front office staff was always good, but I'm NEVER getting my car serviced here again. Workmanships seems subpar. read more

Over the course of 4 days, I accompanied my friend who dropped off her car for a routine service and tire replacement on 5 separate instances due to the subpar service provided by Global Imports Mini. I'm convinced that the sole reason they are still in business is because they are one of the only authorized Mini dealers and service locations in metro Atlanta. Most of the negative, but true reviews, on this page have been filed under the "not recommended" section, so I'm hoping this will not get removed. My friend dropped off her car Friday early afternoon with an appointment. She was supposed to wait but the associate indicated that they were super busy and the wait would be longer than expected. In an attempt to accommodate them, she said she would leave the car with them but she absolutely needed the car the next day. The next morning, we made several calls attempting to see what the status of the car was. However, every time the call was forwarded to the associate or manager, it went straight to a voicemail and the call attempts began again. After almost 24 hours of having the car, Global Imports indicated that they had not even created a quote of what work needed to be done nor had they inspected it. So the car had not been touched. We were told that an estimate would not be received until Monday, so they expected someone to be without a car (no loaner was offered) for 4 days. They also said that the specific technician that was supposed to work on the car was not at work and no one else could work on it because it would get confusing, which frankly doesn't make sense. Then, my friend randomly received an estimate that included a $128 diagnostic/inspection fee despite routine service coming with a complimentary multi-site inspection. After messaging via their text number, she negotiated removal of the fee and asked when the car would be ready. After receiving no response for 2 hours, we went to Global Mini. At last, we were able to speak to someone helpful, their manager: Phil. He recognized the unacceptable customer service and compensated over half the cost of repairs and guaranteed the car would be ready within a few hours. We returned a few hours later and most of the work was done. However, they replaced the punctured tire but did not rotate the tires even though they said they were going to. When my friend mentioned that the tires hadn't been rotated, the associate apologized and told her to bring the car on Monday and that he would rotate the tires and detail the car for free. This was a nice gesture although it required an additional trip. To keep an already long story short, the car was dropped off Monday morning and they indicated that it would be ready before 2pm. It was not ready until almost 3pm and when she received her car, there were white spots/smears throughout the interior indicating that they had done a shoddy detailing job. While it appears that Global Imports attempted to reconcile their customer service issues throughout this entire process, their inability to minimally competent service to cars is concerning, especially as an authorized Mini deal/service location. TLDR: If you drop off your car here, be aware of hidden charges and be prepared to possibly not have a car for several days. Their only saving grace is the manager: Phil read more

This review is about my MINI experience that started at MALL of GA MINI I tried so hard to find a MINI at a proper price at Mall of Ga. They seem to be over priced compared to other MINI dealerships with comparable options. MSRP price is advertised with a reduction to think you're getting a deal and some are falsely advertised as I've read from another referring to MINI Mall of GA as listing Bait & Switch. I encountered the same thing! I went in interested in a 2019 on the showroom floor as well as a pre owned certified. When I saw the 4 door Hardtop Cooper S I loved it! Priced at around 33k on the sticker but they failed to advertise it as it really is with the "dealership" added JCW package which was an additional 8k. I left disappointed and agitated which pushed me to drive to Global Imports MINI in Chamblee. After my experience, I went to Global Imports and when I spoke with the girl at the front desk I requested a female which was not available. I said I was just looking and preferred not to bother anyone. The Sales Manager came over and said he understands I'd like a female as he kindly assisted me answering questions without being pushy letting me know the sales person I requested would be in the following day. I realized after 4 very long visits of shopping at Mall of GA I never once met the Sales Manager. I ended up finding a fully loaded MINI with Premium Package / leather seats / Nav / JCW interior and so much more listed 3k less than a similar model at MINI Mall of GA. I LOVE my MINI. read more

I bought a car for my wife a month ago and we were asked if we'd like to keep our license plate to use once the new vehicle is registered to us, of course, we agreed. Our temp tag expired yesterday and for 2 weeks we tried to get in touch with Global Imports MINI. After leaving multiple messages with several people I physically went in to try and get some information on when we would receive our tag. They promised they would get back to me the next morning and call me but they never did. I called again and again, texted my contacts there just asking for an update but we still got ghosted. I physically went in again, they said they a manager would be right with me, waited for 20 minutes, and then left them my info again to ask for the status. We called the County Tag office this morning and they told us that they just received a request for registration for the VIN of our new vehicle. It's honestly not a big deal in the grand scheme of things... but man, they really do disappear on you after you make your purchase. It took way too much time and energy which ended up with us figuring it out ourselves.. we still never got a call, text, or email. Josh was my contact and they did me a favor by discovering not only had my mini been wrecked and repaired (which I didn't know) but also listed a slew of issues it had and reasons the engine light was on. I wanted to give no stars but Yelp requires at least one. Our family has bought 6 cars from Global Imports Mini and all were good experiences. Service over the last 10 years has been above and beyond any dealership I have ever heard of. About 3 years ago things started to change with service. Everything started becoming a fight. Getting a loaner became a problem "sometimes". I understand things for everyone got worse when COVID hit - they didn't have any cars for loaners. That is understandable. It all came to a head today. The car warranty expired 2 weeks ago. We had taken the car in 3 months ago for general maintenance. We told them the car was about to run out of warranty and asked them to look it over to make sure it had nothing that was going to become a problem coming up. The multipoint inspection came back with nothing wrong. 2 weeks later the brake light came on. They were busy so I couldn't get it in for 2 more weeks. They said it needed front brakes. I asked why since it was just in and I specifically asked them to look at the pad wear. Long story short the tech never looked. He just stuck the key in the key scanner and the car didn't have a brake light when it was in a month earlier. That was a red flag. So they fixed the brakes and the new multi-point inspection showed no issues. We got the car back and 28 days later the heater stopped working. So we took it back in. They came back with a $3017.38 repair bill. They said the water pump, thermostat, and oil cooler were leaking water. I understand how things break right after you get your car back but the chances of 3 things all breaking in less than a month are statistically zero. It appears like before they did not actually look at it the car. After complaining they offered to pick up 30% of the bill under BMW's good will plan for disgruntled customers. That is not good enough to make up for you not doing what we asked you to do. We told them no, then went back and asked them to pick up more of the tab. They said no and didn't even try to negotiate. Another problem is that mechanics are growing too reliant on the vehicle diagnostics computer to tell them what is wrong and have lost the ability to look for problems. This is a training issue. I know there are many reviews with pissed off customers and some you just have to ignore. I don't like the direction the dealership has gone. They are no better than any other place and they all suck. Mini's are very gadget and option happy making them cool but they are not a very reliable car. The only reason we have bought them is because service has always taken care of us. That time appears to have passed. Finally, my husband (a die hard mustang fan) once considered buying a Mini just based on the once great service here and I used to recommend this dealership to everyone I knew but no more. FOR THE SERVICE TEAM: i have taken some time writing this review so thank yourself and me in advance if you happen to see this before going. i took my mini to this dealership to fix an oil leak around March 23rd. first red flag was when my father spoke to Dannon and he was asked if the valve covers were tight as we suspected this is where the leak was coming from. he said they were fine and they would get to the bottom of it. my dad later on received a call from a different man, Andre, who said the valves were damaged..... fast foward, we end up getting the gaskets replaced, oil pressure sensor, & a new serpentine belt. after $2800 spent i get my car back and went to go check it out and to my surprise my hood latch is broken. they offer to charge me another $750 to fix it and blame it on the rust... i've never had a problem with it before then and i also witnessed their car attendants being super rough with serviced cars. all and all, no deal. they open my latch so i can check the oil and i was on my way. as a couple days go by i notice my car is still leaking oil. wonderful. i bring my car back to them and speak to the general manager AL about my hood release. him and my dad came to the agreement of $250 even though we shouldn't have paid for it at all. they supplied me with a loaner car to my request and had my car for a week and a half. i get my car back fixed up (so i thought) and all shiny from the wash. i had no issues with it until recently when the battery light came on. we just got this car fixed. no lights should be coming on. i took it to a garage and without even checking it out, they heads a noise and said it was the alternator. i get it towed to AAA and they call back and basically tell me everything we thought was done from this dealership was indeed either not done at all or done very poorly/half assed. for $2800 my car better not be half assed!! it ended up being the new belt we just paid for was gone due to all the oil that was still leaking from my car, it slipped off. i strongly do no recommend this business. please avoid these liars at all costs. oh! and when it was time to pay for the hood release to get fixed after THEY broke it, André came back to me and said AL said it would be $300... i said why would he tell you that if we agreed to $250? just showed me one last time how shiesty the staff is here. i took my car back to my usual mechanic in douglasville so he can look over there work and he told me my valve covers are FINE!!! and we suspect they tampered with my water pump so they thought we would cough up more money to fix already new valve covers & water pump. basically this place likes to pump money out of their customers and that is not okay with me. i like honest and trustworthy people working on my car. my mechanic is far (douglasville- Americas DIY Auto Shop) but he's worth it! i never deal with any bs that i do at dealerships. never again!!!! but DANNON is the best most honest person there. My mini Cooper was due for an oil change. It also happened to need a new thermostat, which I had done by a mechanic I trust. The mechanic cleared the dashboard indicator so Global Mini refused to honor the extended warranty which includes oil changes. I pleaded with them, explaining the simple math that I had not had my oil changed since 81k and I was now at 91k. Zero sympathy. Offered to charge me $$ for an oil change that should have been included in the extended warranty maintenance program. Heartless and makes me think I may not purchase another Mini in the future. Many of them. Once they are out of warranty expect large repair bills. Alex worked here. She was sweet. Loved her. I brought my mini Sheldon in November for work. On driving him away the new latch did not work. They were closing. I called her. I said hey. The new latch on the hatch is not catching. Okay. Drive it back in when you can we will fix it. Now Sheldon is my only working car. Global is not close. I keep in touch with Alex to let her know that I can't put valuables in my boot because the hatch won't latch. But I'll get back some day to have it fixed even though it's a pain. So I finally have a chance. Alex doesn't work there anymore. But Alex in service does okay. I'm finally bringing it in to fix the latch that was broken when you had it last. And please replace a bulb(I've already purchased it) and snap back on a sagging plastic bumper thingy. My Mini was in & out of their service department from May to August over a rearview camera malfunction. I finally took it somewhere else & it was fixed by putting some epoxy glue on the bracket holding the camera. Do not take your Mini here for repairs! Worst dealer I ever had to deal with. They sold me a car with multiple accidents and important frame damage. Wanted to trade in the car a few months after I bought it and found out that it was worth nothing. Went back to the dealer and the manager explained to me that the market went down and that the value of the car had nothing to do with the accidents. They of course didnt want to buy back the car. Starting a drive across country and within the first 600 miles we had a check engine light come on. We were able to make an appointment and get in first thing in the morning. The team was very warm, welcoming, and informative. The work they did was necessary, not inflated. They got us back on the road knowing our mini was safe and sound - from rubber to roar. Wow! You can read the initial experience below, but got a call from General Manager, Philip Jacobs today and he was VERY sincere and direct in wanting to solve the problem and went above and beyond to make things right. A perfect example of how to turn a bad situation into a positive one, and a one star rating into a five star one. Mistakes happen, owning up to them makes all the difference! Since we live several hours from a factory shop we called to ask if they could complete warranty work on our vehicle. Said they could. Drove 4 hours round-trip to have the work done, only to have them say the car is actually not covered under warranty and we had to pay them $100 diagnostic fee to get our car back. Called service manager, and he stood behind we signed off on agreement to diagnostic fee when we left vehicle, and seemed very unconcerned about the 5 hours of our time he wasted in coming to shop from WAY out of town. His only concern was 15 minutes his tech spent reading the codes from the vehicle. Never even got an apology. Will never use this shop again. read more

This place is horrible . I wouldn't go get a vehicle from here . I bought a Honda .. I was told nothing was wrong with it within 2 weeks of having the vehicle I had to get 2 new tires a motor linkage for my windshields nd a whole new transmission. When I test drove the vehicle it worked perfectly fine . My sun roof no longer opens . It did before I left . Nd the warranty tht I bought and added on the vehicle only covers 500-1,000 the sales associate said it would be COMPLETELY paid for . I was told by the warranty company they go through tht even if something happens to the car they can choose to deny the request sent because it could be ruled as it was like tht before . Overall their service was good but there cars are shitty . I came out of pocket 3,000$ after paying for it all cash 7000 for the car alone . We had our Countryman brought to Global for repairs from an accident on January 8th. Today is February 16th, and our car is still not finished. Updates have been vague and slow. Between the interactions between Global and GEICO, Global's astronomical markups on both parts and service, and how long Global is taking to repair and finish this car, I would NOT recommend Global to any of my friends or family (many who own MINIs.) At NO point in this whole process have I felt our business was valued, and any emails about my frustrations have tried to shift the blame to the insurance company (who reminds me of the length of time Global is taking for repairs.) And not only that, but now that it's taken more than 20 workdays, we've exhausted our insurance companies rental car benefit, and Global refuses to offer us a courtesy car until repairs are finished. Again, at no point have we been valued as a customer or been treated anything more than a repair. I'm only sorry there's not a negative star system on Yelp, because I'm confident I would make Global MINI as a -500. read more

So I bought a 2010 Mini Cooper from Carvana. Upon arrival a vehicle service light came on. I brought it to global import Mini since it was close to my job. I met with Josh Pruitt, let me just say I'm impressed and over the moon with how they took care of me and my car. I made an appointment they got me in within the hour. Came for a diagnostic left with a replaced module which ended up being covered under the Minis warranty. So I didn't even need to wait on Carvana. I also met Floyd Holloway a sales rep here we had an awesome conversation about the cars and he was nice enough to let me borrow his phone charger lol. I even got a new mini keychain. Overall Top notch service. I will only be getting my vehicle service here as long as I have it. Thank you guys !! read more
