A year ago, they stopped using the checkout lanes since they had no employees to man them. Now the staff of 3 have long lines for check out at the copy center desk. I believe the only thing keeping this store solvent, is the deal they have with UPS and Amazon to return packages. Listless, depressed employees must not be paid much. Management seems non existent. Wonder if Staples even knows what's going on there.

The whole reason to go to the laundry mat is that they have multiple machines so you shouldn't have to wait. Dryers 24 total and only 9 work 15 are OUT OF ORDER. Washers 21 total and 14 work and 7 are OUT OF ORDER. Best times to go are Late evening, overnight, early morning to always have a machine open. Prices are great on machines. Several washers have a quick cycle this is a great time saver. They also have a mega washer which can take a load up to 80lbs.

Alan had…read moregone to the Camden post office and picked up a couple of large Priority Mail boxes this morning, but they were too small for our purposes so we were going to return them when we came to mail our box. We put our new sweatshirts and t-shirts in, nestled the dish among them, put in more clothing and some chargers off to the side and topped off the whole thing w/ our accumulated paper bags, which we can use for recycling newspapers at home. I addressed it, we sealed it and, since we had time, drove to the Camden post office on the assumption that it will be busier tomorrow (Saturday), when it's open only from 9am-noon. We parked in front. Alan carried the box to be mailed while I carried the two boxes to be returned. He directed me to where they were stored and went right to a clerk who was available to help him. After I put the boxes away I joined him at the counter. We had it marked fragile and chose the slowest, cheapest rate since we're in no hurry. It was almost 15 pounds and came to $46 and change. That's about what we were charged for sending the ceramic fish from the gallery in Woods Hole. It would have been more economical if we had taken it ourselves and just put it in one of the large Priority Mail boxes, as well as it had been wrapped. No matter. Maybe we'll remember next time. The clerk who helped us was very personable and again we were in and out quickly.
