Unfortunately, this is still the most disappointing $150 I've ever spent on a haircut. Almost a year later, no one from the salon reached out to apologize or offer to make things right. I don't know the stylist's name, but she had light-colored curly hair and wore glasses. The photos speak for themselves. Gloria was so accommodating and squeezed me in for a haircut! I asked for a medium shag and she did amazing! I will say: I grew up with a mom who was rough with my hair so I didn't mind Gloria's style of managing my hair (although some people in the other reviews might) Just be aware of that if you're sensitive, (or looking for a scalp massage) but for the most part it was a relaxing, great experience. First time and last time, due to OVER CHARGING! Called to see how much for a hair cut, Gloria I spoke to said $30, I was like cool. Went got a great hair cut, nice salon. Area not to great. I was asked if I wanted a blow-dry, for my long Bob hair cut. Yes wanted it blow dryed, as that's the only way to see how your cut lays and if any adjustments. Well apparently not knowing, another $30 for blow dry‍‍. ( with no flat iron, no curl) So a $30 expected hair cut, turned into $61.74. The haircut itself is nice. But if you come here you are sure left with half of the hair you came in with even if you didn't do a big chop or asked for your hair to be thinned out. I came in today and all was well until the haircut started. Where a sure 15 minutes of the most aggressive hair pulling by gloria ensued that left my scalp hurting so bad and still feels like it is bleeding since my hair strands actually were ripped out of the follicles. I am not confrontational in these situations but I still was showing discomfort, yet she didn't stop. There was a much older woman that came before me and she seemed all smiley and giddy after her haircut, so I doubt she was treated the same. The same thing happened with my sister like 3 weeks ago when she came for a haircut too. Definetely not worth $35 if the haircut comes with MMA level hair pulling. read more

I went in again today to add some more blonde/lighten the front pieces of my hair for summer and Marisela did an amazing job helping me create that look while still keeping my hair healthy. She took her time with my hair and even helped me find a shampoo to maintain the color. I am new to the Bloomington / Rialto area so it took me a couple weeks to find a reputable high quality salon. I called for an appt and the gentleman on the phone was very courteous and helpful, he quickly booked me for next day with Lily. I arrived at 12:15pm for a 12:30pm appointment and was warmly greeted by Gloria and Lily. I was booked for a full service haircut appt to include wash, cut and style. Lily was knowledgeable and performed excellent service. I am very pleased with this salon. The stylists are friendly and attentive and the hair products are of great quality. When I went in for a color and cut back in June, I was extremely happy. I was told to use hair mask and sold a leave in conditioner for my hair. I did as directed. Ever since then, when I wash my hair, it looks and feels like a rats nest. I have colored my hair and have never had this issue. Its very discouraging as well as frustrating. I went elsewhere this time for my hair color and was told that Gloria left in the product too long which damaged my hair. I will have to deal with my hair looking and feeling like a rats nest everytime I wash until it grows out. Dont get me wrong. Gloria is a sweet lady but I will never go back nor recommend her services. read more

Walked into Gloria's salon this morning at 9:45am early for my appointment with Javier at 10:00am I told the woman in the reception area that I had an appointment she looks at me and says someone will be with you shortly waited for 15 minutes and no acknowledgment. Another woman walks in and Javier acknowledges her and asks her to take a seat he looks at me and walks away doesn't even bother to tell me I'll be right with you. Instead I could hear a bunch of people laughing in the background which was quite unprofessional. I felt like they cater to their regular customers and ignore new customers. This was my first and only experience at this salon I just moved to the area and was really looking for a new hair salon I was disappointed and instead drove to another salon who took care of my hair right away. I'll never come back to Gloria's again. read more

Simply stated, the fact that I've entrusted Lily with my hair for 8 years is testimony to how satisfied I am with my hairstyle each time I come in for a cut. Happy hair leads to a happy girl, and all women know that your mane can make or break your self-esteem. And it seems that each time I pay this place a visit, I've given myself a cheap $20 (+$5 Tip) ego boost. Gloria, the Salon's owner and namesake, has a staff of her family and friends - all of whom are excellent in their craft, and can pretty much produce any hairstyle that you've envisioned for yourself. Keeping in mind that they're hairstylists and not magicians, they'll be honest if they think your hair doesn't suit a particular trend. But with that said, they work with you in making sure that you leave with an amazing sense of style. I've gotten haircuts from different stylists at Gloria's, but my two favorites remain Lily (she's fun AND beautiful) and Javier, whom I witnessed go from beauty school beginner to a scissor wizard. Back when I used to dye/highlight/KILL my hair, they did an amazing job at making sure the highlights were just the right color for my skin tone. I never walked out looking completely fake. It took years for me to grow out all of my dye - and now that I've been all natural for 3 years, they've done a great job at helping me maintain healthy hair. They never try to pressure you to wear or cut your hair a certain way - so if I request a 1/2 inch trim to clean up the edges, a 1/2 inch trim is what I get. But on that note, if I insist I want a rat tail for layers - and they've got an inkling it won't look good, they'll be humbly upfront with the problems that might arise from such a haircut. Overall, an amazing alternative to shopping mall salons. And SO much cheaper. You receive the same quality haircut, minus the sales pitch on why you should leave with a heaping of salon shampoos and conditioners. Spare me. Let's put it this way... I live an hour away and STILL come here for my haircut. I love my hair... and often get compliments about it. read more

She knows how to deal with different textures of hair. My hair is naturally curly and getting a good stylish complimentary haircut that I can maintain is very difficult. I had been wearing my hair long to weigh down the curls but just recently after returning from France and admiring all the chic girls with easy no fuss short hair i wanted the same for myself. In 25 minutes my massive poof of hair was lopped off and viola I am now chic n short and loving it. My boyfriend remarked that losing all that hair didn't traumatize me a bit. But since it was so close to my house, I gave it a try, and I was not disappointed. Gloria, the owner, was the one that cut my hair. Lily does my hair...she is Awesome I love her she always makes sure my hair is on point. I always leave their salon with perfect hair. She knows the right colors to blend and cuts and styles to help you get the look you are anticipating =) Their prices are very fair and reasonable compared to high salons that are Over priced. Like I said it before pay for what you get....Honestly. I have seen plenty of ppl come in with corrective color they need to conduct and cuts that all their techs have had to correct. They take the time to give you suggestions on how to keep your hair healthy. Everything you do has a price to pay. I spend a lot of money to keep my color fresh and my hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks..and use their products they offer to their customers.
