We came her on a Friday night in September for some great music and a beautiful venue. It is gorgeous out here. Everything about the property is beautiful and clean and classy. Great place to catch a show or to enjoy a beautiful sunset! The wine is good too!! This is our second or 3rd time out here and I look forward to coming back. It keeps getting better. Tonight we saw Branded Blue and then Exile! It was a great night out on the lawn!

Wonderful Ladies Night at the vineyard! Early Christmas celebration with seven of my friends. We loved the holiday decor, food and wine selections! All staff we encountered were absolutely amazing!! Very welcoming, accommodating, and eager to ensure our evening was phenomenal! I ordered the wine flight (ended up purchasing the special holiday cherry wine, delicious) and the pizza with fig. Pizza was very unique and very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their drink and food selections. Only complaint was that the potato skins were very small in portion size. Ambiance was perfect for our gathering and great decor for photos. Chenault is truly a gem to this region! Looking forward to attending one or some their upcoming events, I've heard great things! Also, everything is reasonably priced.

Live this multifaceted venue that continually hosts so many activities on a regular basis! Wine tastings, music events, private gatherings, lunch, dinner, trivia nights - all in the most beautiful settings, indoor and out. The employees are so personal, informative and gracious. The menu is small but has a nice variety.

This is my first time visiting this winery under the name Chenault vineyards. I once visited as it was called Acres of Land winery. The new owners have made this such a fun place to visit! From the time we stepped foot inside, we were greeted by such friendly servers and workers. She made suggestions but also explained to us how the flights work. The inside is open and has a lot of seating at various tables. There is also a private room that can be found behind the bar. Outside of the main room, is a covered patio with tables, chairs and fans. It overlooks the vineyards, which is such a nice view! The wine itself was great. We tried a red flight and a sweet flight. All the wines were enjoyable! Aside from the wines, they do seasonal cocktails that can also be enjoyed! The menu isn't huge, but it does offer charcuterie boards, pizzas, sandwiches and soups; all of which looked amazing. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Stopped in here for lunch. We had the Pepperoni pizza, Poosey Ridge Peach, & Chocolate Obsession . The other couple with us had chicken ranch pizza & Sams Fix it Juice to drink. The thin crust was crispy & delicious. The service was quick & responsive. The place is nice & roomy & the tables are far enough apart for easy conversations. Will definitely return!

Loved visiting this winery. Was visiting Berea, KY for the weekend and stumbled upon this winery. It was roughly 10 minutes off 75 from the Richmond exit. Wine flights were $6 for 4 pours. Medium charcuterie board was $19 with 2 meats, 2 cheeses, nuts, and assorted dried fruits.

It's easy to think that you're lost on your way there, but keep going. It's at the end of the road. I was there on Saturday for brunch and then again on Thursday for yoga and dinner. The inside is beautiful and clean. The outdoor patio is relaxing with nice views of the large vineyard. The menu is pretty small but they offer pizza, soups, chicken salad and a few other meals. We had the veggie pizza one day and the margarita pizza the other day. Veggie pizza was delicious but the other pizza was pretty bland. The pizzas are large enough for three maybe four people. They offer red wine flights, white wine flights, sweet wine flights and fruit wine flights for only $7.00! There's a venue to rent for events. And they have various events throughout each month such as yoga, live music, etc. They sell bottles of their wine, souvenirs and booze flavored truffles, cupcakes and other candies. I tried the Sangria Boozy cupcake that I thought was too dry but my daughter tried the Peach Boozy cupcake and she loved it. A neat place to hang out and catch up with friends or a date night.....

Wine was served in plastic cups. I don't ever drink out of plastic. This was offensive and unhealthy.

Bar far some of the best wine I've ever had. My wife and I love door county winery in Wisconsin and really enjoy the sweeter fruit wines. However the wines here are so much better than those offered at door county. To start the Kentucky diamond is sweet yet light and refreshing. The red dog is amazing if you like red wine and want something a little different. It's slightly sweet yet has an oak finish almost resembles a tawny or a Porto but with a much lighter finish and not nearly as rich and sweet. The blackberry wine was phenomenal it's not to strong and doesn't taste to much like alcohol it has just the right amount of blackberry and is a much smoother finish than the door country blackberry wine. The cherry cordial is also quite phenomenal it has just the right amount of cherry with a brilliant chocolate finish yet it's not to sweet. I didn't find any wine here I didn't enjoy. It's a shame that the wine they make can only be bought here locally at the winery. Well worth the trip from Wisconsin to Kentucky just to buy a few bottles of this wine. By far one of my favorite wineries that seems to be hidden in the middle of the mountains. Even the history of this winery is quite interesting with ties back to Thomas Jefferson and Daniel Boone can't say enough great things about this winery or the people who own it. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

All the wines were unique. They have an Apple Pie that tastes like pie and a Cherry Cordial that smells and tastes like Cherry tootsie pops! They offer dry and sweet wines too. The scenery, atmosphere, and overall property create a relaxing environment that feels very "Kentucky wine country." The staff was also incredibly friendly, welcoming, and wonderful with families and kids. The gift shop and tasting space itself functionally was not laid out in a way that made the experience especially easy or comfortable to enjoy. For those of you interested in tastings, there is nowhere comfortable to sit during the tasting process, unless you want to trade into plastic cups and head outside. This unintentionally created a rushed feeling, even though the staff themselves never pressured us. As for the wines, I tried the Cabernet Sauvignon, Equestrian Series, and Crimson Cabernet. I personally tend to lean towards drier, more robust wines, these felt fairly lackluster overall and lacked the depth and balance I personally look for in a wine that can either stand confidently on its own or pair beautifully with food. A few of the sweeter wines others in my group sampled came across far more grape-forward than expected and reminded me more of juice than a refined wine experience. (My overall impression was they paired more with $10 bottles than the prices that were asked) While the staff was clearly well-intentioned and friendly, the overall tasting experience lacked some of the seriousness, polish, and professionalism that you would expect from a true leader in the wine space. We had to request that glasses be emptied and cleaned between tastings, water was never offered between pours, and some of the finer details that elevate a winery experience simply felt overlooked. That said, this place has a lot of potential. Between the scenery, atmosphere, and welcoming team, I could absolutely see why Talon Winery would become a favorite spot for locals or visitors looking for a casual afternoon outing. However, for those looking for a polished, elevated "Napa-style" wine experience, this may not quite be the home run I had hoped it would be.

We visited on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the scenery as we sat outside sipping our wine. Located just a short drive from Lexington, Harkness Edwards is checks all the boxes for a fun day out. Atmosphere, check. Views, check. Affordable, check. A variety of wines for every palette, check. We prefer our wine on the sweeter side so we went with the best sellers flight. For just $10 we received a flight of 5 different wines, These were generous pours and we presented beautifully. Once we got settled, we decided to add a charcuterie board for two. At just $20, that was a great price! It included grapes, multiple cheeses, crackers, meat and chocolates. I would've liked a bit more meat, but I understand that additional meat may have driven the price up. In addition to our flight, we also enjoyed a glass of seasonal apple cider sangria. It was light and refreshing, topped off with champagne for a bit of effervescence. Since it was such a nice day, we opted for outdoor seating to enjoy the weather and beautiful views. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. We brought personal activities to entertain ourselves, so we colored , journaled and did some reading during our time at the vineyard. Before leaving, we settled our tab and browsed in the retail area. They have many items for purchase including local honey, candles, soap, lotion and of course, wine. We purchased a bottle of our favorite wine from our flight. In addition to tours and tastings, they offer a variety of different classes. While we were there, there was a floral class going on. I would like to come back and take a class in the future. We had a wonderful outing at Harkness Edwards. The staff was very friendly, the wine and charcuterie were delicious and the atmosphere was delightful!

I love wine. I love winery hopping. This is called Chrisman…read moreMill Vineyards. I expected a vineyard. This is *actually* a tasting room at the mall. To be fair, according to Drink Ky, they have a vineyard that is not open to the public, but the winery page on Yelp takes you to the tasting room. So...I think my expectations left me a little disappointed. I still love drinking wine and I wasn't going to say no, but I thought we were going somewhere else. That said, the space is lovely. A nice retail area, brightly lit and clean. The bar area isn't extensive, but large enough to seat a couple of small groups. We sat at the end of the bar and were greeted quickly by the guy working. He explained the tasting options. Flights range from $5-$8, and you get three generous pours or your selection of wines or sangrias. I opted for the wine flight option. My selections were the Vidal, Sweet Jessamine Rose, and Sweet Riverbend Red. They were alright, nothing that made me want to buy a bottle. Apparently they are in the midst of a special offer for a free fondue plate with two tastings. That was a nice surprise! The flights come served on a barrel stave. It is a nice idea, but it is a little unstable. We both thought it was a little funny when the music that was playing switched to "Get Low" and some other club-like music. The fella liked it, I kinda killed the ambiance for me. If you are shopping at the mall in Lexington, and need a lil' wine time, Chrisman is a good option. If you want to go to a winery...this will probably disappoint you some as well.

From the windooooooowwwww to the wall... (more on this in a moment)…read more By all accounts, this place should be five stars. It is part of the mall area so it's not really a vineyard. It's more of a mall shop where you can also do tastings of their wine. Parking is plentiful. You have to keep in mind... you're at a mall! There are plenty of spaces and as long as you're not a pampered person that needs the closest spot, you'll be just fine. The guy working greeted us right away. They have a few different flights but none are over 8 dollars. Each flight gives you three generous pours. No complaints there at all. While we were drinking our wine, music was playing. It was a mix that fit the store perfectly. It was us, another couple, the worker guy and another worker girl that came out. At one point we started to hear, "Three, six, nine, damn you're fine. Move it till you sock it to me one more time" Yes! You guessed it... skeet skeet skeet. We noticed it right away. I said, "This is the unedited version too. Awesome!" The girl working noticed it right away and started laughing. It was funny but the guy working went ahead and changed the song. I understand that if the wrong crowd heard that song, it would stir up controversy. In my opinion, if they can't take a little skeet in their ears, then they probably shouldn't be drinking wine. My flight consisted of dry wines. The Norton, Norton Reserve, and Firefly. The Norton Reserve was my favorite of the three. Easily drinkable but I'm not sure if I'd need to buy a bottle or not. Our tasting also came with a fondue board. That's a nice little perk that we weren't expecting. When it comes down to it, this place is brilliant and more malls should lease to tasting rooms. For all the people that don't like to shop with their family, significant others or children... walk down to the winery and drink for a few hours. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but if you're already in the congested mall area of Lexington... go ahead and stop in.

To which I responded "Well, there HAS to be! And we're going!" A quick google search revealed Chateau Du Vieux Corbeau. It is just up the street from the Pioneer Playhouse and right next to a charming looking Inn. We got there around 5pm, and they are open until 6pm most days. There was only one woman working, and she was finishing up with a group already there, ringing up their purchases and chit chatting. A tasting, including all of the available wines costs only $2, and bottles are very reasonably priced. All of their wine is aged in stainless steel, as the winemaker has an oak allergy. It's an interesting thing to do. I personally love oakiness in my dry wines, so I kind of missed the flavor, but if you don't like it they have wines for you! And many of the wines don't have any added sugar. They weren't my most favorite wines, but I found several that I enjoyed! The woman running the tasting was wonderful! Friendly and very knowledgeable about the wine as well as the surrounding area, giving tips on things to do in Danville. If you are only intending on doing a tasting, bring cash since it is only $2 per person. But credit cards are accepted and a bottle is around $10. We left with 3 bottles between us! Should you want to have some wine while in Danville, I would certainly recommend paying Chateau du Vieux Corbeau!
