Mike and his team did a nice job for us trimming some trees last year, 2025. We naturally reached…read moreout to him this spring when we needed a dead redbud tree removed. I called, told him that the redbud is at the end of our driveway in the corner under a large tulip tree. He came by. I showed him the tree and he said no problem taking it down but, he couldn't grind the stump out as the tulip tree and the fence precluded him getting his equipment into the right position. We agreed on a date and I told him we would be home when he arrived. The day came, I saw Mike walking down our driveway with his chainsaw and before I could walk outside Mike had already cut down a large and healthy redbud. Not the one which was dead. The one he cut down wasn't at the end of the driveway, not in the corner and not under the tulip tree. He cut down the first redbud he saw. We were very unhappy. Won't be using him again.

Then he offered us a bribe of $199 to take the bad review down. When I failed to take the bribe and posted about it on the review instead, he decided to lie and say he had never worked for us at all. So I took a screenshot of that lie and posted it with my receipt. Sure makes me question the rest of his "good" reviews. Enjoy the photo evidence. Check Google reviews for the full story.

Weeks later, I contacted the company asking when the service would be performed because I had received no completion notice, no door hanger, and saw no evidence that the work had been done. I was then told the service had actually been completed a month earlier and my card was charged. When I raised concerns, the company relied on GPS records showing a truck at my property but could not provide photos from my property, despite telling me that photos are normally taken. What disappointed me most was the way the issue was handled. At no point did anyone offer to come to the property, walk the lawn with me, inspect the results, or independently verify my concerns. Instead, I was left with a charged credit card and no confidence that I received the service I paid for. Most importantly, there was never any visible evidence that the aeration and overseeding had occurred, and there still isn't. More than a month later, the lawn shows no meaningful signs of new grass growth, improvement, or change. Whether the work was not performed or was performed so poorly that it produced no observable result, the outcome was the same from my perspective: I paid for a service and saw no evidence that it benefited my lawn. The office staff was polite throughout the process, but based on my experience, I would not use this company again.

I had a hip replacement in 2025 and was struggling trying to clear her driveway of snow and ice that had built up and the snowplow had buried the front of the driveway. A truck with a plow on the front from "The Good Guys" pulled up and asked if I needed help then proceeded to clear the driveway of all the snow and ice. They were a godsend and very much appreciated. And I give them grace, as plants had grown since the initial bid. Sadly they pulled a clematis plant, so they're not perfect in differentiating flowers. They are expensive for the time they work. My initial understanding was that the price was for the full clean-up job. It's my fault for not a detail reading of the contract. The first day they worked from about 8am till 2pm, with a lunch break. They returned the next day, but were requesting an additional $700. I called the office to clarify and they did complete the job without the extra charge, in about one hours work time. Beware, they're basically charging by the hour. My hubby figured it works out to be $100 per person per hour, for a 4-crew. They were eager and kind to please me. I am a picky gardener. I hired them as my neighbors gave good reviews. The team is friendly and they left everything clean. See less

I hired these people because a neighbor liked them some time ago. Something has happened to them…read moresince-- the experience was truly horrible. They are a nightmare to work with (didn't show up when scheduled, etc.) and basically all the plants they put in died. They may have given me diseased plants. Or possibly the plants shouldn't have been planted in the places they put them. (Of course, that's why I hired a professional: to figure out what plants were appropriate). They have a "guarantee" but it only replaces the plant. You have to pay for labor and delivery! Needless to say, I didn't throw good money after bad. Now I will have to put in labor and money to repair the damage they did. Don't waste your money on these folks. They are far worse than useless.
