Delivery guy was a peach and was VERY patient working around our power lines and tiny city driveway with his truck. If you need soil or compost, I would definitely recommend giving them a call! Clearly our plants are LOVING the soil/compost. FYI--any litter you see on top of the soil in the photos is from our trees, not the soil.

I compared prices for Lucas's, Plymouth Nursery and another place and Tilt's prices were much lower for the same product! Lowest delivery charge for the others was $30 and they couldn't do multiple products/loads. Tilt delivered all three in separate loads for no charge. So this was a great deal. Most recently, the backyard privacy line was a pretty big job. They cut down nine 50' juniper trees and planted 11 new "green Giant Arborvitae" trees, cleared out the brush and mulched. Last year the front redesign included pulling out the 40+ year old yews, the over-grown globe arborvitaes and spirea. In their places they installed Mt. Airy, two types of Hydrangeas, and flox as well as keeping my iris gardens intact and added a few strategically placed iris, hyacinth, daffodil, and other bulb flora that pops in the early spring for some early color. Both large landscaping jobs required a large about of work to the sprinkler system that their technician completed, too. Their crews are always punctual, clean-cut and friendly.

I hired these people because a neighbor liked them some time ago. Something has happened to them…read moresince-- the experience was truly horrible. They are a nightmare to work with (didn't show up when scheduled, etc.) and basically all the plants they put in died. They may have given me diseased plants. Or possibly the plants shouldn't have been planted in the places they put them. (Of course, that's why I hired a professional: to figure out what plants were appropriate). They have a "guarantee" but it only replaces the plant. You have to pay for labor and delivery! Needless to say, I didn't throw good money after bad. Now I will have to put in labor and money to repair the damage they did. Don't waste your money on these folks. They are far worse than useless.

We scheduled our appointment via their website and had a quick home consultation where we told him what we would ideally like done. I did a bit of quick math on the mulch and sent me a text shortly after with the rate for the labor and the materials. I found it to be incredibly reasonable so we decided to move forward with the job. They are booked pretty heavily so it took a couple of weeks for our appointment but they showed up and worked efficiently to finish the job neatly and thoroughly. Our garden looks amazing and they did a great job pulling all those pesky weeds in our rock beds that had been causing me grief (and back pain!) over the spring and summer. I'm so happy with how it all looks. I can't stop marveling at our very cute yard now! And my plants seem way happier now that we've got the mulch around them as well. Will definitely keep them in mind for any future jobs we may need.
