What really says it all is that the entire meal was eaten mostly in silence and not a single picture was taken, which is completely out of character for me as a foodie. I'm not sure how many people ended up paying for something that was supposed to be free, but it doesn't sit right. Once inside we took the elevator up to the 8th floor, which was actually pretty cool. There were various restaurants and lounges to sit and hang out. The problem was that only one restaurant was open, and there were maybe 8-10 tables total--all of them full. Looking at other reviews, this seems to be a common theme: staff often don't know what's going on and things aren't always as advertised. There was a set Ecuadorian menu with three appetizers, three or four chicken dishes, and three seafood options. That was it. As for the "vendors," there was only one table selling Ecuadorian goods and it was very limited--a bowl of bracelets, a few license plates that said "Ecuadorian," a couple ponchos, and maybe five or six Ecuador World Cup soccer shirts. Super underwhelming. There was also supposed to be live entertainment, but that never happened either. Overall it just felt like a letdown after the drive and the expectations the flyer set.
