It is somebody's house. There is no bicycle repair shop. Looks like a handy man that can fix his neighbors bikes.

The last 3 years have been on the North Shore, where I've had to (through gritted teeth and tears) spend more time driving and sitting in traffic. Over the course of this time, I've been in a LOT of bicycle shops all over the state (including trips to Western MA and the Cape). I now live nearest to Seaside. Being in Manchester - by - the - Sea, I expected it to be full of the typical douches with an added touch of pompous for good measure. However, I have ever been pleasantly surprised to quite like all the staff there. They're super friendly, knowledgeable, always eager to help, and there focus always seems to be on being a good business rather than figuring out ways to take your money. Due to hating driving, I decided on an electric bike, researched, and found they're a retailer of Specialized Turbos. I've owned my Turbo for nearly a year now and have had more than (by my estimates) my fair share of issues. 97% of those issues have been due to electronic/electrical issues - not really bike issues. These guys have gone above and beyond to help me out and keep me on the road. The warranty makes clear that the parts are covered, but not the service. They have really put in the time and effort to get Specialized to cover as much as possible (considering the number of issues I've had since paying a LOT of money for it). And they've always been friendly and super great about it - which is hard b/c I've been quite frustrated numerous times and tend to whine like a baby. Anyway, I really like this place - they're good at what they do and good ppl besides, which is really hard to find together.

I came here on a whim because my daughter needed a new bike rather quickly with all of the shops…read moreopening up at 10, this one was surprisingly open at 8am! Fortunately for me, they had one just her size. Although it was more expensive than I had originally hoped for, I knew that going to a bike shop specifically would likely amount to a more expensive purchase. I was greeted by a very nice man (can't remember his name offhand) who immediately offered me a cup of coffee which I so desperately needed at that hour. He was helpful in terms of explaining all of the features and tips for both the bike and the helmet I purchased and encouraged me to bring the bike in soon to get a free tune up. Although it wasn't a long encounter, I was really pleased with the experience. He was so nice, engaging and personable and knew his stuff. Highly recommend Beverly Bikes.

Stay away from this guy Bill, the owner. He is a cranky grump with very poor customer relation…read moreskills and very overpriced. He uses minors to service bikes after school. I had a tune up on my road bike last fall that cost roughly $300. I brought it home and put it in my basement until this Spring when I went to use it. The gear lever wouldn't shift the chain. I had to take it back this week (35 minute drive each way x2) and pick it up the following day. When I asked Bill what was wrong with it, his curt response was "I don't know... I didn't work on it"! Also, NO apology for my inconvenience or the shoddy work but an inconvenience for him to help a 72 yo put it back in his car. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and still left my wife's bike for a simple flat repair. When I went back to pick it up the charge was $48, which included $15 for Stan's Tire Sealant and 2.9% credit card fee (I was unaware of). He never asked if I wanted this sealant and I was not given the remainder of what I paid for. Since Bill was not there at the time, I called him the next day to inquire about this charge and he was extremely rude and went ranting off that if I needed money that bad... to come down and he'd refund my money and even buy me a cup of coffee... blah, blah, blah! WTF? I've since learned... Go to REI in Reading and you can get the same sealant for less than $4 which you can use multiple times and a tire repair for $20 total, labor and materials. Don't waste your time, money or peace of mind at Beverly Bikes... I should have taken the time to read the other poor reviews he's gotten.

Upon entering I was greeted by the two staff members with a pleasant hello and the question of how can we help you today? Meanwhile both of these guys were clearly in the middle of assembling/ servicing bikes but didn't seem to mind taking a minute to help me find what I was looking for. This was huge for me as i've been to other shops in the past and have had the opposite experience. One time the staff of another local shop couldn't be bothered to look up from whatever they were doing to assist me when I was literally there to buy a bike... a nice top of the line gravel bike I wanted for a long time..that experience left me so jaded I took my business elsewhere. Long story long that was not the case with these dudes, and after helping me find the helmet and peddles I needed I learned a bunch about the owner Jake and head mechanic Ed. Both of them local to the area - their stoke and knowledge of the neighboring trail systems was wonderful and they even hooked me up w/ a shop water bottle - I've got a zillion bottles but who doesn't love free swag?? Safe to say I left shop more stoked on riding than when I walked in and fully intend to shop here again in the future. Lastly, the aesthetics were modern and major bonus points for the sick grunge station they had on!

I've purchased e-bikes online (direct purchase from…read moremanufacturer) but was never satisfied and when issues arose, ex.: the bike stopped working with 164 miles on it, that company didn't want to cover it. I decided to shop local instead and after a lot of research, I thought that it would be worth my while paying a visit to Seacoast e-Bikes. Wow!! Am I glad I did. The lady that assisted me was not only very knowledgeable but extremely patient and made sure that my questions were answered. She pulled no less than a half dozen bikes for me to try and seemed vested in making sure that I had the right bike with the right fit. She wasn't pushy or even tried to oversell. You could see that she had my interest, just like if she was the customer. The service didn't stop there. After picking my bike, they made sure that it was well adjusted and road worthy. The owner even checked up on me to see if everything was in order. While waiting for my bike to be ready, I also witnessed how returning customers were treated ... It reassured me that I made the right choice. We have another bike to buy for this upcoming season, and we are heading to Seacoast e-Bikes without even looking at other dealerships because they do customer service the old fashion way. BTW, I am not affiliated with the shop, the owner(s) or the staff. I was not paid nor even asked to write this review. I am just a VERY Satisfied customer.

I have put over 400 miles on it and it's going strong. I bought the bike from a dealer, Seacoast e-Bikes, because it is a fairly complex piece of machinery which requires some amount of care and feeding. Just about the time the bike was ready for its' tuneup (free at Seacoast), I got a flat tire. The flat was in the rear wheel with all sorts of connections to the chain, motor, gears etc. I dropped the bike off at Seacoast and the fixe the flat, and did the tuneup for a total of $50. If I had bought the bike via mail order I would have paid a lot more. They even dropped the bike off at my house free of cost. Shane, Frank and Steve and the rest of the staff really care about their customers, and know bike maintenance and repair cold. There is no reason to buy an e-bike mail order, because sooner or later it will need service and maintenance. If I could give 10 stars on this review I would. s
