He did get a virus, but who knows how he got it, even though other kids had it too. Even with all that hand washing, some stuff is just unavoidable. He was out for a week with it - if anyone remembers that winter of December 2012, that virus ran over everyone in its path! Our son had previously attended another daycare, and we had lost all trust in childcare after multiple traumatic experiences. The care and attention that Genevieve and her teachers give to our son and our family quickly suppressed any stress that I had and they earned our trust. They got to know our son and what was important to our family for his care. We are working together to help him transition between rooms (infant to toddler), and they are doing what works for him instead of just following a written routine. They work with us as a team on a daily basis and really make us feel like family. The communication we receive from Genevieve and his teachers is top notch. Whether it be sending pictures and notes throughout the day to show how he's doing, or checking in when he is having a tough time, they are in constant communication with us. They respond quickly to any questions or comments we may have as well. They were able to catch an ear infection super early because they recognized a slight change in his behavior. They have also checked to make sure everything was okay when we were running late, as our morning drop off times are pretty consistent. Our son LOVES The Heights School. At drop off, he often will blow me kisses and wave goodbye as he goes right to playing. At pickup at his previous school, he would run right to me and cling to me. Now when I walk in, he runs and hugs me, then goes right back to playing. This may seem small, but shows that he feels comfortable too and doesn't want to leave. There are themed activities and camps which can be viewed on their schedule. As a bonus there are a few parking spots close to the front specifically to be used for pick ups and drop offs. Over all, it is affordable for childcare. My kids seem to like it.

Some swim instructors are OK and some aren't. The biggest pet peeve I have with this place is they never return your phone call and never answer the phone. They usually have two secretaries working at the front desk, so why is there two telephones but nobody will answer.!?? Second pet peeve is they unexpectedly cancel your scheduled class time and they won't notify you. For example: Last week there was a problem with the pool chemicals and they needed to dump in a bunch of soda ash to bring up the pH levels or something they said like that. The next day it was still super cloudy, and my child had to swim in it. After words, my child could not stop coughing because of accidentally drinking some of the water. The day before that, all classes were canceled because there was a serious problem with the pool chemicals. I wound up, traveling all the way down there because they didn't notify me in enough time to say the class was canceled. So when I went to the front desk, they told me on the following week on Monday, they were gonna give me an extra half hour for that canceled lesson. So here it is.. I go to the place on Monday and the place is all closed up! I never got a phone call, a text message or an email stating why the school was closed. I left a voicemail message explaining my concerns about what happened and why they were closed. I'm more than likely certain 100% guarantee that they won't call me back because they never call you back! Also, when my husband was setting up the swim lessons, they told him that if there was any problem with them canceling appointments, they would refund money. I feel like this won't even honor that especially with the way they're acting here. This location in Turnersville is acting like a fraudulent place. This place just loves taking your money, but they don't care if they cancel your classes and you wind up pay for a cancel class. Also, they love talking sh*t about other swim schools in the area- how they're no good, but bear paddle of Turnersville isn't any better! Whoever is the management running this swim place is doing a poor job!
