Have been a member for about 5 months but have decided to cancel. The only reason I joined was to…read morehave somewhere to play both pickleball and have a gym. But to start: 1. Mt. Laurel location does not have pickleball courts. Only a basketball court with lines everywhere and rolling nets. Luckily I was able to stop at the Princeton location after work, if not for that I probably would've cancelled right away. Why does this location not have real pickleball courts and hardly any open play times?? 2. The gym is mediocre at best. Half of the space is dedicated for their strength training classes, so at busy hours, good luck finding a rack, especially one with a mirror in front of it. 3. They also don't have a turf area, or any sort of soft surface. It is all hardwood. 4. Half of the machines are very old, especially the cable machines Also, their business tactics are shady in general. When going to sign up online, my only option for membership was "the signature" so I assumed that is all they had. Turns out after 5 months I realized they have a standard membership that is slightly cheaper, but is not marketed anyhwere because they want you to pay up for the signature. So I was paying around $414 a month for x2 people to get subpar basically everything.

The 1 Star is for this location only. I needed to cancel my membership because the class times weren't working with my schedule and I had started to go to the regular gym whenever I could instead. I had called to ask how far in advance did I need to cancel and the girl on the phone told me as long as I did it before my next bill date I was all set. Okay, great. I came in a week before my bill date to fill out the form in person-they had just ran out of forms and their printer broke-so the girl emailed it to me to fill out and send back no problem (pictured). I was then still charged for the next month. When I called I was finally able to speak to a manager who said if I didn't know who told me that he couldn't do anything since it's in the initial contract that it takes 30 days to cancel. I fully understand there are cancellation rules for every gym-hence me calling to ask in the first place. What is unacceptable is two different times I was told I would not be billed for the next month. Typical "gym" service.

I go once every week or two and love how the class complements my other workouts. Classes are always challenging and every class is different. Some days there is a lot of rowing, other days there are incline runs, sometimes it's two long blocks of cardio and strength, while other days bring more back and forth between the two. I love Wendy's classes but I took Raymond's class for the first time last week and really loved it. His instruction was so clear and his playlist was on point! He announced to the class that the Moorestown and Cherry Hill locations would be merging, which means a bigger variety of instructors, which I enjoy. Everyone runs the class differently so it's fun to mix things up. The front desk staff is always so friendly and helpful; this location truly feels like a community, even though I only get there every so often. For me, it's worth crossing the bridge for a workout that will kick my butt and get my endorphins pumping!

I wish this PF was my home gym to be honest. I have a black card because it's convenient. As a frequent traveler, it's hard to say where I will be from day to day. I didn't have to wait to get weights or a bench for db presses here. Everyone I met, including staff and customers, was professional and polite. The gym and locker room are clean. The equipment all works. I like the set up - some of the smaller rooms (stretching/abs, 360) were tucked away. It felt nice. Welcoming and friendly counter staff. Thank you!!

It has a very sharp bleach and ammonia scent mixed with lemon that makes it unpleasant to breathe heavy around. It feels like the solution is either mixed incorrectly or being over-applied. It's also frustrating to be forced out of gym areas during peak workout times for spraying. Management could easily fix this by using a fan to improve ventilation or shifting heavy cleaning to off-hours.

The vibe is pretty chill and non-intimidating. There's no sizing each other up, looking to be the alpha dog in the room. This isn't where people train to be the next Mr. Olympia. No one is "flexing for the Gram" and I like it that way. If you're looking for a nice, family friendly, no non-sense, fairly priced gym with a good variety of activities, friendly staff, then CHHRC is an ideal choice.

First - barre was new to me and so I certainly wasn't use to this type of activity. For me, this was one intense workout that made me drip sweat like a land beast. I was sore after every class and really felt it in every muscle not just thighs or arms. Second - they have a lot of classes. You need early? They have early. You want late? They have that too. There is a class that will fit into your schedule and that's handy for someone like me whose work schedule isn't the same every day. Third - It's convenient and it's an attractive space in which to work out. Why does this matter? I don't know that it does, but so many people who write reviews always comment on the space if it's old, outdated, crusty, raggedy, etc. This place is new, modern, clean & cute. It's easy to get to, I never once had an issue with parking & there is a coffee shop literally 3 doors down for your post workout caffeine fix. Ok, so all that & only four stars? Well, it's small and the five classes I attended were all packed. I always felt like I was on top of someone or that I might kick someone if I didn't pay close attention. They don't have a changing room, I didn't know that for my first class & showed up in my work clothes & a gym bag. Their only restroom is inside the studio so you'll need to wait until class is over to go in there & change. That first time there was a queue of people who just finished working out waiting to use it and then me waiting like a dope to go change. I changed at work after that initial class. As a workout it is probably five stars, but as a whole, I never really felt fully comfortable there. I always felt like I was doing it wrong but seldom if ever got corrected. I always felt too clumsy, too sweaty, too frumpy, too fat, too much - but that's my own hang up not theirs. It's a great work out and fit in nicely between kickboxing & the gym. If you're going to give it a try, do yourself two favors - first, spend the $16 and buy the barre socks right away. Second, try to take at least one class with Marla - she was so encouraging and motivating, I wish she taught there more often but no matter who leads, you're going to get a great workout.

A regular membership is $10/month, so she's basically paying 2 memberships to be able to bring a guest. I think those prices are great, though. I don't know where to start with Giant. I love it more than the gym I belong to. There's plenty of equipment, and I never see broken machines waiting for repair. I don't think there's fans, but it does feel like there's good airflow in the cardio rooms. The treadmills charge my iPod and I can plug my headphones into the machine itself and use the dials to control my playlist. The run is smooth; I can run longer on their equipment than I can at the gym I belong to, or the treadmill at my house. There's a pretty good selection of weights as well. The gym is never very crowded, and I never have to wait long (if at all) to use equipment. I feel more comfortable working out in a less crowded environment- I feel as though I have more privacy. Honestly, I'd join Giant myself in a heartbeat if there was one in Blue Bell, PA. We seriously need better gym selections in this area of PA.

My practice has developed under his instruction and attention. He is a gifted teacher and I feel lucky to have found him. Marie's classes are also amazing! Her thoughtful sequencing, fun playlist, attention to alignment and cues and her sense of humor make for a fantastic and fun hot yoga class! The last few classes I've taken with Regan have been wonderful. Her attention to alignment is demonstrated in a way that is unique to any other teacher's I've experienced. She brings the asana to life from thoughtful instruction to a lovely flow that all gets tied together in a way that, by the end of savasana, I feel I've taken a beautiful journey. It's not often that I feel such a release of emotion as I did in today's class. I've also taken a few classes with Taylor, Brittany and Jeannie and WOW!. This studio is loaded with talented, caring teachers who bring 100% to each practice and I look forward to every single one. Marianne and Emily, at the front desk, are welcoming and helpful and set the tone for a very relaxed practice and each class ends with a cold towel to help me cool down.
