Best plant nursery that I have been to in Utah!. I've been in here a couple times. But each time I come i discover that there are more areas to explore. They are very organized , lots of labels so you know exactly what you are looking at.lots of helpful employees. Within 15 minutes of walking around every single employee greeted me and asked if I needed help or even just being friendly. They take great care of their plants. The plants are very expensive but you know when you buy from glovers you are getting the best. They have most plants out right now compared to any nursery I have been to lately. I highly recommend stopping by! It's like a plant version of Disneyland.

Extremely impressed with the size and selection of the new and improved native section at Glover Nursery. The display was clean and nice to look at, and the description cards were a fantastic addition. I especially loved the page on the diversity of native penstemons! Would highly recommend anyone who is interested in purchasing more native plants to check this out. Very well done

We're on the hunt for Armenian cucumber plants and found this place on Yelp. Thanks! This place is massive and we could have spent hours walking around discovering new ideas for the backyard and garden, but we wanted to get the veggies in the garden yesterday. I did find time to checkout the roses. Many different colors and types. Definitely coming here when we move onto the second part of the backyard remodel. We didn't find the Armenian cucumbers today so went home with lots of different pepper plants. Not giving up on the cucumbers! Key thing, marks are recommended but not required and the parking situation can be a little tricky for large SUVs. Still lots of parking spaces, just a little tight. If you're looking for plants, trees or veggies, come checkout this place. We certainly will be coming back.

I haven't checked out all the nurseries and gardening stores in the valley, but I'm slowly getting there. Glover is one of my top choices for a few reasons: 1) They are open on Sundays. 2) Their pond section is very large. It includes a whole building of supplies (koi food, water additives, lighting, pumps and other hardware, etc), plus a greenhouse full of neat plants. They have these floating island plant arrangements that are beautiful, water lilies, irises, hyacinths, and probably close to 50 other pond plants. There are huuuuuge koi, and once we found a cute snake that had wandered in and seemed to be making himself quite at home. 3) They sell cocoa mulch, which I haven't yet purchased, but supposedly when it rains it smells like chocolate! They also offer the other standards: Tons of trees and bushes, creative selection of herbs and vegetables, and some really nice perennials, ground cover, and so forth. They sell stunning rock water fountains. The quality of everything is very good, and as far as prices go they seem to be in line with other nurseries for most of their smaller plants, although the trees can get pretty expensive. They're definitely one of the larger nurseries in the area. Customer service is fine, and they have space for up to four cashiers, although on a Saturday there can be quite the impressive line to check out. It's definitely worth stopping by at least once to wander around (you could easily spend an hour or two here, so plan accordingly). You'll likely find some treasures!

Great selection and very knowledgeable staff. Ditch the box store for this family run business. They are helpful and have the good stuff!

It was the perfect date night-an activity and a souvenir, and priced at $5 per person (plus supplies) I felt like it was a good deal. We arrived a few minutes early and saw other attendees lurking about, a little unsure on what to do. Eventually, we found our way to the back where there were tables setup and our instructor, ready to get hands dirty. The class itself was fun-Lucas showed us different plant options as well as items to put at the bottom of our containers to provide drainage. I would have loved to have had more time with him to learn more about the specific plants, what goes well together and how to best care for them when we got home. But there were at least 20 people there, all with questions, so we did our best and had a great time! While we were there, we also perused the other products-specifically the produce-so we could eat some fresh fruit while we planted. The selection was fresh, and we took home raspberries, nectarines and apples-as well as a bottle of raspberry jam. I didn't see a TON of larger plants or things for the yard-most of what I saw was on the smaller side. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I'm sure we will be back as we grow our collection of indoor plants.

My visit to Westside Nursery was actually a failed attempt at visiting Winchester Nursery. You know…read morewhat's stupid? Winchester is smack in the middle of two spaces for Westside, and even though there are signs everywhere, they only serve to confuse matters more. But never fear, I'm here to provide some much needed clarity! On the East corner is Westside's main nursery space, filled with all the perennials, annuals, a few vegetables and herbs, groundcover, succulents, roses, and most of the smaller plants, though there are some trees and bushes here too (through which a charming stone walkway meanders). A register is located in a small shed-like building, along with garden accessories and fertilizers. Now, if you're seeking a larger variety of bushes and trees, you'll have to exit the nursery, walk past Winchester's chain-link fence and entrance, and then go into the OTHER section for Westside on the West side (hahaha) of this whole strip, where the bulk of these plants are housed. Despite the frustration accorded by their wonky set up, Westside was a really nice lil' nursery! The employees were really great. Every single one I interacted with was just cheery as can be, so helpful, and truly and honestly passionate about gardening. There was one gentleman that was just running around, lugging customer's purchases to their vehicles, and all the while so smiley and kind to everyone. The prices were in line with comparable businesses. Parking is iffy - you pretty much have to grab a spot along the street, and it's dang busy! Just be careful and stay safe. What a brave business to be in! My small collection of houseplants is growing, as are each individual plant. I found myself in need of a new container for a Blue Star Fern that has outgrown its current home, and so I thought hey, why not go see what I can find. What I was actually searching for was a simple nursery container, as I have a lovely decorative outer container, but they do sell quite the variety of decorative containers. From the simple terra cotta to the more fancy glazed, to cement (love!) and some pretty massive ones out back. They have glass containers for air plants, and some way way way cool glass ones that are made by blowing glass onto driftwood or other wood, and the glass actually forms a custom fit onto the wood. Holla atcha terrarium peeps! Sadly, they not have nursery containers. Or at least they did not sell them--I spied them on the bench, but apparently they're not for sale. It's a tiny space so you're not going to get much variety, especially of any size. Pack in a few mature monstera or fiddle leaf figs and suddenly it's a forest, so while there are some lovely little succulents, you don't get a ton of different house plants. I was also surprised to see so many artificial plants. They advertise commercial plants, so perhaps that's why? Easier to maintain, for sure! Outside there are a few outdoor plants, but it's not like a nursery where you might go to grab all of your bedding plants or annuals for the year. It was interesting to see the style. There are some containers or hanging containers, or tiered setups that are on the very edge of what's what right now. Air plants. Succulents. Someone is doing their homework. But there are also some very old school things, and the "it plants" were conspicuously absent. Online, everyone is all hot and bothered over raven ZZ plants, or pink dalmation aglaomena, or pink *anything*, and here they are all absent, and we have the always venerable pothos and sansevieria. It's like there are two forces at play making orders. I suppose this is the reality of owning a plant shop, balancing what is known and solid and dependable for business, and what is trendy and drives traffic when you hit it right. Worth a visit to see what strikes your fancy, and packed full of really large containers in the back. Other shops may have more variety, but every plant shop has its own charm and is full of discoveries waiting to happen.

I pulled into the long driveway, and after a few moments a home appeared on my left with another sign out front, and an open gate. Huh. It felt strange and not a little awkward, and I vacillated between checking it out or just driving away, in fact I got out, then sat back in my car, but thought I might as well have a bit of an adventure and marched right through the gate. There was a wooden shed surrounded by shelves of flowers: peonies, clematis, dahlias, impatiens, ice plant and more. As I explored, a young man turned the corner and cheerily greeted me, explaining it was their first day open for the season. After chatting for a bit, he headed back the way he'd come, and I realized the whole back of the garden was filled with lines of bushes and even some trees! I immediately snatched up a small Black Tower elderberry, as I have a bit of an obsession with elderberries. Other plants that caught my eye were a variety of hydrangeas, especially some espaliered specimens, huge blossom heavy apple trees, and pink lilacs. Everything was healthy, and reasonably priced, no more than a big box store like Home Depot, and in some cases, less. They take credit cards, and will create an account so you have a history of purchases. It's run by a sweet family, and the two sons I spoke to were very helpful and pleasant. You can tell they put a lot of care into these plants. The selection is not huge, but it's impressive for a "backyard nursery," and while basics are covered, I also noticed some goodies not available elsewhere (at least I haven't seen them, and I go to ALOT of nurseries). Check 'em out!
