I had such a disappointing experience trying to book a facial for myself and a friend. The online system wouldn't allow me to schedule two appointments under one reservation, so I called to get help. Unfortunately, the girl who answered the phone was incredibly rude and condescending from the start. I had to be the one offering multiple solutions--coming at different times, staggering appointments, waiting for one another, etc.--and with each suggestion, her tone became more agitated and dismissive. This facial bar is a really good concept. In 45 minutes I had a brand new complexion. It had been two years since my last facial when I went on my birthday on the 19th of March. The esthetician who did my facial was great. She really understood my skin and hooked it up with a freebie for my birthday which I was very happy. Ice globes are my new thing! That changed my life. I had my first appointment yesterday for facial and lash lift, and I had an amazing experience! It's the best service I've ever received, and prices are great. My esthetician Katti E. was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I have KP (keratosis pilaris) on my face for many years, and I've been to many dermatologists and estheticians in New York, but nothing helped. Katti explained me lots of things about my skin condition and nutrition that I didn't know. When I woke up today, I saw a huge difference on my face! My KP is a little better, the skin looks so smooth and glowing. I've never seen such a big difference for just one visit. I also like the products they use. I was so lucky to find this place through Classpass back in 2019. I've been 3x and brought my mother-in-law once. Each time was great, I had in- depth discussions about my skin issues and left with helpful recommendations for skincare products. I had never heard of a facial bar before but I love the expeditious nature of the format here. Sometimes you don't have time for a full spa day (in fact, I never do actually) and Glow is great for a quick refresh or more in-depth services as well if you require a little extra attention. Natalie was my service provider and I loved that she walked me through every step and explained exactly what she was putting on my face. I also love that everything she used can be purchased for at-home use as well. Plus she was a total doll!!! The owner is also quite the gem and I love supporting local women-owned businesses! I have been struggling with my face for as long as I remember and I've had better days and with my skin. I found this place through yelp, and wanted to give them a try. I got one of their express facials because my face had some acne, dry and was not really glowing like it use to. The 30 minutes facial was one of the best facials I've had and it was really nice getting a hand massage along with it too. My partner and I bought facials to receive at the same time. It was our big "parent's date out" for the month. He opted for the "Hey Guy" and I chose "Purefection." He also had an extraction. The front of the house staff member was super sweet and had really down to earth energy. When we were brought back to our chairs, the esthetician working with me let me know which express facial would be better for my skin based on looking at it. I really appreciate that because I pretty much guessed at which to sign up for! She helped me understand that my skin was dehydrated/dry and gave tips for future skin care. She recommended a product that I did end up buying and well, hopefully I look like a fairy soon. I'm guessing that most other guests like to chat much more than I do but I think next time, I will try to be more direct about wanting less conversation. She was so friendly that I felt bad turning down small talk though. It was nothing she said, I just needed that 30 minutes of relaxing downtime as a parent of a toddler. I have to be honest about the facial, I'm not sure what it really did for my skin. I just couldn't see any differences or sense any differences. I have been to Glow a few times now, and I would recommend it to anyone! I have seen Liz each time, and she is kind, knowledgeable, and skilled. My first time was for a dermaplane, extractions, and a back facial. I was experiencing hormonal acne after a pregnancy loss - not only was I reeling from the loss, I was embarrassed at experiencing this type of acne for the first time. Liz put me completely at ease, gave me a plan to get my skin under control, and I walked out feeling better than I had in ages. I have been back for facials and friends I see afterwards always tell me I'm glowing. Personally, I enjoy the open concept salon and efficiency of the treatments. If you're looking for a spa day lounging around in a bathrobe with private rooms, this may not be your spot, but it's perfect for me. I left a couple of rings here since they have you take them off for facials. I called and verified that my rings were there. When I went to go pick them up some time later, one of them was gone ( the more expensive one). Instead of getting an apology, I got the worst customer service experience of my life. Incredibly rude and disrespectful. She said it was my problem. It is my problem that one of your employees stole my ring? When I told her I lived far away, she looked up my address and then gave me a look questioning what I had said. She said that I must not care about the rings very much...Incredible. Unbelievable. I have never left a review before but this was just the worst experience. The customer is not always right here. Being rude to customers is not good customer service. Talking back to customers and questioning a customer's honesty is not good customer service. That should be customer service 101. read more

I was told the service would be chosen during my consultation the day of when I phoned in the day prior. My skin care professional mentioned what had been chosen was appropriate but unable to explain differences & why. Oh man. I have been avoiding leaving a review like this but recently realized I have to. Got a lash lift here this past April. Never had one, complete novice just wanted to try it out. I instantly started to have what i thought was an allergic reaction- itchiness and red, slightly swollen. I reached out the spa and was given very little feedback on what to do, just that I should go to the doctor. After a few days my eye looked like the first 2 photos so I went to urgent care. They diagnosed me with preorbital cellulitis and referred me to an eye specialist. After seeing the eye doctor, i was told by him, and urgent care doctor, that i had a very severe infection and the most plausible answer was that something wasnt clean or done properly when I got the lash lift. The eye doctor literally told me it was one of the worse infections he had seen. I had to take 2 antibiotics 2 steroids and eye dropper and a eye cream. It took weeks to heal. The whole right side of my face hurt, I missed work, I couldnt even barely see. An infection that bad could result in loss of vision. It was extremely traumatizing. I emailed the spa after my ordeal basically saying i should recieve compensation for my experiance because of medical bills, missing work, etc. At first they were on board and apologetic. Told me they would reach out to their insurance company and get back to me within 48 hours. This was 2 months ago and I havent heard a word since. Ive sent 2 or 3 unanswered follow up emails. The complete lack of respect was a slap in the face. Unfortunatly now I have go through a lawyer to have this handled, where before I wished it could have been dealt with more calmly. Its possible this was one off situation, but regardless I should contact the health department on top of a lawyer so this doesnt happen to anyone else. If the spa had handled this correctly from the beginning, I would not be leaving this review read more

Came for a dermaplaning facial. Had one before, in a standard salon with private room, etc. So, walking in, was slightly unsure what to expect. But the employees were super friendly and flexible. The girl who did my dermaplane facial was awesome, and did an amazing job. I feel like I have high expectations and she definitely met and exceeded my expectations. Made an appointment for a facial after my last location closed. I picked Glow Facial Bar because they use SkinCeuticals products, which I do as well. My esthetician did a nice job on the actual facial, but despite claiming not to be a "product pusher", she proceeded to recommend at least five products during the service -- after she knew I already used a full-range of SkinCeuticals products at home. At one point, she attempted to claim that the Glow private-label products were higher quality than Kiehl's, but when I asked her to explain why, she came up short with an answer. It's clear that the estheticians get commission on product sales, which I generally don't mind, but Glow went a bit overboard on their zeal for add-on sales. I'd rather pay a bit more and actually have the opportunity to relax during my service. read more

If you would like to be racially profiled and treated less than sub par, come here! First off, they barely know anything about darker skin types. The woman who worked on my face told me that they didn't have SPF to match my skin tone and I left with my face looking pale white and puffiness under my cheekbones. Then when checking out the woman asked me if my credit card was a "gift" card. She swiped it multiple times then asked me if I had another card because it "wasn't working". I gave her another bank card which she swiped twice and said it "wasn't working"...then I woke up today with FOUR CHARGES from this place. FOUR. When I called to speak to the owner, I was met with an attitude and a simple "I'll look into this"...instead of....I'm sorry for your experience. When I asked for a refund, she told me it will take some time to look into. She refused to address the lack of variety of products for darker skin, the racial profiling her employee did with my card and the whack experience for a crazy price. It wasn't worth the $90 facial just to be treated like this. I had to call my bank to get my money back. read more

The facilities are great. My esthetician was very lovely. However I would have liked if they would have asked me about my skin concerns and what I wanted to come in for. I didn't know what the process was until I sat down and asked. They didn't go over what products they would use and ingredients. I don't typically have sensitive skin. But had two different masks put on me because the first one was starting to make my skin pink and irritated. She quickly removed it which I was happy about. The second one was ok. I also got extractions which I understand would take sometime to heal ( I had two visible problems areas) . She did say after that my skin would be red for a few hours and redness to wear off...but I write this as 1232 am and my skin actually looks worse leaving that came in. The redness has not worn off. I have marks on my face where I didn't have before and they are very red and inflamed possibly due to the extractions and products . I'd been really looking forward to this place but for the price I would have expected more personalized attention read more
