In general, this store is decent. I've been a couple times and I'll most likely be back. Positives: 1. They have a larger selection than their competitor in Chinatown Plaza. 2. Samples! They give you a ton of them with every purchase. 3. If you have a certain skin type, sales associates are pretty good about listening to your concerns and suggesting products in your price range. There are a few things which keep this from being rated higher: 1. You will be followed around. It's super awkward if they don't ask you if you need help, but are glued to your hip. 2. Prices are not listed for every product. Sometimes you have to cross your fingers that whatever you brought up to the register will be within your price range. 3. For such a tiny store they keep everything very well organized & categorized by brand and product. Great thing is that there is always tester products to try before you buy. The ladies that work there always greet me when I walk in & they also take the time to consult my skin for me & grab me whatever I may need to fix the damages of the harsh air of vegas hahaha. Two reasons for the low score. I was recommended a product that broke me out really bad. Read amazon reviews later and 46% of people reported the same thing,, it has a toxin in it. I was charged $20 and on eBay and amazon it's $9.99. The second facial cleanser I bought, is just fair, another $20, on amazon it's $13.45. Great for all your Korean skincare needs. There are two big Korean "mother companies" for skincare - Amore and LG. There is an Aritaum in the complex next to this one and that one sells Amore. Ktown Cosmetic sells mainly LG products. The main ones being OHUI and Whoo, amongst others that I can't remember names for. Since I use mainly OHUI, this place is great for all my needs. The ladies working here are super friendly and nice and took the time to explain all the products to me. I love how they have gift-sets for the products that I was interested in, with cute,deluxe samples included in the sets. After checking out, the lady helping me made sure to give me plenty of samples of the product I had shown interest in so I could try all of them. Overall, highly recommend! read more

This is a cute little shop with good customer service! I visited looking for a few sheet masks. They didn't have the brand that I wanted to try, but the lady working was helpful, and tried to help me find something that worked for me. She recommended something that she thought would be helpful considering I am pregnant, which was nice. Their sheet mask selection was good for the small size of their store, they had a lot that were for sale as singles (as well as packages or sets of masks sold together). I honestly wanted to try different single sheet masks, because I know I can order them much cheaper online. So I bought two masks, knowing that if they work for me I can buy larger sets on Amazon. It's a much better option than buying a box of masks online and not knowing if my face will like them! They had a good selection of shiseido and pricier hanbang brands. There were a few shelves of cosmetics that I didn't recognize brand names for - overall it seemed like a good sample of different K beauty brands (to my untrained eye). I also enjoy the different products available and they have a lot of testers for you to try before you make a decision. The prices for most products are clearly marked with a sticker. The staff are really friendly when you get them talking. The only thing I didn't like is that they don't greet you when you come in and they don't ask you if you neee any help. I'm surprised the ratings aren't higher here! There is a markup, but it's about what you'd expect from a brick & mortar vs online store. Anyway, I came in on a Saturday afternoon. I was asked if I needed help, then I was left alone. When I had questions the salesperson was friendly and informative, and it was a super pleasant shopping experience. There were also K-Pop videos playing, and Dumb Dumb by Red Velvet came on when I was in there, bonus! The store is small but organized well (cushion compacts/SPF/soaps/makeup/perfume/etc.) Shisheido and the more expensive makeup was in a glass table area in the back like a department store, and the other makeup was laid out more like a drugstore, but with testers. The mask section was very organized but as mentioned- expensive- and while I don't splash out for more than $3 a mask (and even that's rare) they did have packs of 10 Malie masks for $11 in a ton of different types. I'll definitely stop in here again if I need more masks and can't/don't want to wait for Korean shipping, and they had hidden treasures like lovely soap gift sets for $15. For those that don't know, in Korea they will follow you around and become your personal attendant, sharing their knowledge and opinions to tailor their products to your needs. The employees here have now toned that down a bit since a lot of people here don't want that kind of attention, but if you need to ask them a question or want that help, they are more than happy to recommend products and help you try them out. We visited K-town because we're familiar with other Asian cosmetic stores with good service and unique products that work real well (e.g. ginseng extract). The store has good quality products overall (e.g. makeup and face care). Though I find that their makeup is marketed towards a 25 and under crowd, as evidenced by the light and bright colors, cartoonish themes, heavy use of fragrance and adolescent looking models. I'm still young, but am over that phase. We visited this store twice. And the second visit was our last time there for the following reasons below. Things went well the first time visiting there. The staff was very helpful as we were the only customers at the store. Our second visit occurred because we were going to return a serum that contained paraben. We've heard a lot about how bad these estrogen mimicking chemicals are. We were willing to exchange the unopened bottle for another facial care product. However, upon walking into the store, we saw that the staff was unhelpful and rude. There were other Korean customers (grown women) there who were very loud and occupying the register area like unruly children; and suddenly we no longer existed. It kind of reminds me of seeing men who go for homely women in times of skinny cows and when they get a hottie, they kick that lady to the curb. When we finally got service, the sales rep was getting ready to give us a hard time to make the exchange/return. We explained to her that the serum contained paraben and that we do not use products with this chemical. Whether she understood us or not, I cannot say due to the language barrier. The day before, the same sales rep was real sweet, attentive and told us about their flexible exchange/return policy. What a difference a day makes. At that time, we were willing to purchase other cosmetics. Then, the sales rep disappeared to the back and left us unattended for several minutes. We had to flag a newbie sales rep to get this woman to the front. Whether this was a strategy to refuse the exchange/refund and make us leave is unclear; but that was so unacceptable! At this point, we did not think it was worth to continue with this business transaction, so we asked for our money back. Suddenly the sales rep was apologetic, but the damage was already done. The very high prices, ambiguous exchange/return policy and the products dearth of English labels is so not worth it. One can find similarly priced and even less expensive products at a department store cosmetic counter (Fashion Show comes to mind) with much better customer service and a written return policy on their receipts. If you are looking for shiseido this is your spot. They also have designer frangraces I saw. I am rather familiar with Korean brands but they do not carry brands like Tony moly or cutesy items like etude house. it is very sophisticated for more target audience. lots of items for aging and acne. reasonable prices. they do carry baby face brand make up which is adorable but cheaper online. I ended up w jeju tangerine soap, egf and pearl face masks by Naisture* must have* , almond and vanilla lip scrubs and 2 banana hand creams for a lit tle over 50 dollars. I'd come back for the masks but maybe stick to online for the brands I love. the ladies who helped me were so helpful. they didn't hover. really loved the location of the store too. I'm a Korean/Japanese beauty product junkie and recently started being more diligent about following a skin care regiment. I've been blown away by the quality and effectiveness of many Asian brands and will go to great lengths in order to acquire my favorites. Unfortunately, Las Vegas doesn't have a lot of options for those looking to buy these products. Because of this, expect prices to be steep at this shop. Just an example, Missha's M Perfect Cover BB Cream usually retails for under $20 but this store carries it for $35. A Korean sheet mask will run you between $3.50-$6. If convenience is important to you and you'd rather not deal with shipping and handling times when buying from a retailer online, paying these higher prices may be worth it. Plus, sometimes shipping fees can be so exorbitant that you might end up paying the same price at this store. The store featured some of the more popular brands such as Missha, Shiseido, Aromatica, and Peripera but had quite of bit of lesser known brands. I picked up a no name sheet mask and one of those cute Korean headbands that holds back your hair. Total came out to around $8. The saleswoman who spoke with me was pleasant and didn't overly hassle me about buying products. Maybe I spent too little but I didn't receive any samples. I was looking for a tattoo liner pen I had gotten at a different shop in Vegas on a previous visit and what a surprise it was to walk in and be treated like a treasured guest almost immediately, and by no other but someone eager to share information about skin care, cosmetics and application tips, I learned about the whole Korean 10 step skin care routine and let me tell you, I have been using the products she recommended and after three days my skin already looks infinitely better ! I can't be thankful enough to my host ( she works on the weekends ) the shop is small and has A LOT of different products ranging from very reasonably priced to a little on the pricy side, it is the best source for daily masks, they have quite the variety at a very afforable price, also they are generous with the samples and she was kind enough to number them so I know when to use them since I don't speak Korean I couldn't read the instructions (no excuse for the zero Korean) so nice! When I walked in I wasn't even greeted, but I did have two ladies follow me around the tiny space like I was going to steal something! That right there mad me pretty angry. I had a question and it wasn't the language barrier they straight up didn't know about their own products. Then I asked if they carried snail serums and they looked at each other and started giggling in my face like I was a crazy person FYI snail is a number one ingredient in anti-aging products! They pushed me to look at other products I wasn't interested in and the ones I already owned where so extremely over priced. I decided to buy a royal jelly mask I hadn't seen before, rare because I own over 600 masks, and I payed $9 dollars. Come to find out the mask was worth $1.50 free shipping online.
