In fact, I forgot the last time I saw a gym, especially in a major city, for that little per month. After my "gym tour" with the one of their very kind staff members, I knew I had found my new local spot for workouts. The gym itself is quite big. It has two levels, with most cardio machines being on the first floor and the weights/dumbbells on the second level. I've been going for a few months now, and these are some of my favorite things: - Always clean - Lots of locker space - All machines have been working flawlessly - They follow Covid-19 protocols, so certain machines are blocked off - 24 hour access (!!!!) - Lots of machines, so I never have to wait around to use a tread, for example - Doesn't get too crowded even during peak hours For $15, I get a LOT more than what I expected. I can cancel at anytime and I didn't even have to pay a fee upfront. They do charge you a $39 one-time fee during the first 30 days of signing up, which apparently locks in your membership price in case of any increases in the future. You can also upgrade your membership to their "premium" version which includes tanning, access to the Theragun and a few other perks.

This gym is in a strip mall that appears to be connected to apartments. Never been an issue, except sometimes when you go in the bathroom you can smell the very strong stench of cigarette smoke. I usually just hold my breath and deal. Over the past few months (6 months maybe?), the ceiling has collapsed in this gym, which has made for pretty messy and uncomfortable workouts. I get it- construction stuff sucks- but it looks like they haven't done any work to fix it. It didn't really bother me until today. The neighbors' cigarette smoke is now pouring directly into the gym. The entire gym smells like cigarettes because of whatever is happening with the vents and ceiling. I can't deal with smoke as it is, but even more so when I'm heaving on the Stairmaster. Like what? I really hope they fix this because this has been such a lovely gym. I come in and out of the area so I've been able to pop in for some time to workout and they were happy to help me. The place is clean which is nice. The nicest guy cleans the place and is on top of things which is very much appreciated. Paul is there during the day and will give you a tour and help answer any questions. It is nice to see people who are friendly and want to help you. The owner is also great, Dan, he is usually there in the evenings. There are a few pieces of equipment that are a bit tired from use but overall it has all of the basic equipment to get a decent workout in. It is a small place so you may need to wait from time to time to use something but the people are friendly, pleasant and its feels safe.

This is how illness is spreads. Also, it takes months for anything to be fixed at this gym. As another distraught person said you get what you pay for but I'm paying so things should be fixed in a timely manner. Also, stop telling people to speak with the front desk management. There is nothing they do to help with all the issues. I would drop my black card membership if it weren't for traveling to see my family where there is a planet fitness around the corner.

The showers have glass doors, which are better than the cheap curtains in my opinion. The gym itself seemed clean and employees seemed nice. The only gripe I have, not only at this location but lots of them, is that some of the machines are far too close to each other. Some machines have only 12" or so between them, which is quite uncomfortable when someone is at the machine next to you. There isn't enough space to put weights on your machine without touching the person on the machine next to you.

Planet Fitness is a cheap-ish gym membership. I pay for the black membership only because I bounce…read morearound states quite a bit, so it's definitely not as cheap as it could be. This location is most certainly not my first choice, since it is somewhat cramped and is usually pretty busy. I don't always take showers at a PF, but I did this time and I couldn't help but laugh at the water pressure. It would be nice to take a shower with a little bit more pressure than that... but we definitely get what we pay for. Overall, the equipment seems fine and is usually pretty clean all around. The water fountains were functional when I went, but the showers could use some help.
