I have just joined this gym as my office has temporarily moved to the neighborhood. My gym routine for the past six months (at my previous gym in SoPo) has been: 1) Go into a changing room and get dressed 2) Hop on an arc trainer 3) Put a magazine on the machine to help the time go by This gym does not have changing rooms or a single arc trainer. Also all the machines have the same design that does not allow for a book or magazine to be held up. There is not even space for your phone. The locker room has one teeny stall I changed in (barely), and showers but with no curtains for privacy? It is just odd. I have no other options for the next six months. I sent them a message through their contact us feature. Instead of response, I received multiple spam text messages, in which none of my questions were answered. I was hired as a GM and turned down several other offers to accept. My background of 12 years in this industry, Rec Management so it should have been an easy transition. Staff and members don't understand the systems. When a change is suggested it is debated and shot down prior to reason. It's a rental agreement. Pay your dues, the equipment usually functions. In my first two weeks I worked 14 days open to close. In my next two weeks I took time to resolve a med issue. Missing 4 days. The owners son threatened to terminate on my medical issue. I continued to work 7 days a week at least 80 hours. My final week I planned to work tues through sat. He terminated based on my not being there for Monday to make up those 7 days a week. This gym is scheduled to close in April in the hopes of a new location. Find a new facility now. The new isn't happening. My termination was illegal. It's a bad management system. I've managed 5 facilities. This place is not healthy. read more

This business is welcoming while being a great deal, and no nonsense. They'll accommodate everything you could want as a man or woman out of a basic gym, and obviously they are open 24 hours. I originally joined 2 winters ago on a monthly membership for 4 months, so I could train indoors late in preparation for the Boston marathon. I was able to end my membership just as quickly as I joined, which is saying A LOT! Fast forward to the present and I had to find a new gym, as I no longer am an old ass college student (hurray). I call up Anytime Fitness down the street from me and they MIGHT let me do a 6 month membership if I ride a unicycle blindfolded down Congress during rush hour while balancing a ten foot tall Anytimefitness sign on the top of my helmet... okay maybe that wasn't their requirement, but it felt like it might as well have been. So, being a modern consumer I decided it makes MUCH more sense to drive 5 extra minutes to get the same gym features at less than half the price at Workout Anytime. Plus, they don't make you jump through hoops to have the honor of being locked into an overpriced contract. read more

When this Gym on Brighton Avenue first opened, it was a very clean and inviting place to do your workouts. fast track a few years later, it paints a different picture......oh I could submit photos for this review. The Showers have not been cleaned in so long mold is growing on the shower walls, the walls, and the shower curtains. I have to use this gym since it is a 24 hour facility, and going home to shower is not an option for me, and I am forced to use the dirty showers before I go into work for the day. I have attempted to reach several people concerning this issue, yet have received a reply. I could not even find a corporate email nor phone number on their site to lodge a complaint, so I was forced to send the gym a direct message concerning this issue. The machines on the gym floor have a complete layer of dust on them, along with stains, and other material (hard to tell what it is) that this may break down the components if not cleaned, or make someone sick from using them. This facility is falling into disrepair, and it is sad to see when it is a good location if maintained by caring staff, alas it is all about the money to the owners. I am currently left with looking for another 24/7 facility to do my workouts that would require more money, and a further distance to drive to get to. I'm currently debating to report the mold issue to the Department of Health, in the hopes to get some kind of resolution to fix the issue. read more

This has been my gym since they opened. I was pretty excited to see a new gym coming to town; I work odd hours so it being 24/7 key card access was what sold me since there was only one other gym nearby in Westbrook that was 24/7 but it was around 30$ a month where this was 15$. Typical gym equipment; they keep it very clean and the employees vacuum and mop often. Why 3 stars? The locker rooms are ridiculously small; one stall, a shower, and lockers. But if your changing in front of the lockers you have to move if someone is walking by; your wedged between the stall and lockers. Some of the employees should work on greeting; I always say hello and goodbye; I'm here five days a week every week and the same couple employees are on there phone won't acknowledge you. I know it's a boring shift since people check themselves in but little things like that go a long ways. 3.5/5 read more

Nothing bad to say until the management of the gym wrongfully accused me of training my friend who I lift with on more than one occasion and revoked my membership over it. This ABSOLUTELY did not happen and I explained that each time. I attempted to show management the video of the workout my friend and I were doing from a popular YouTube fitness channel and that wasn't enough, apparently "I was coaching him" and "that's what trainers are for." They refused to listen to us and seemed to have it out for us from the beginning, and it was honestly appalling that it got to the point that it did. Absolutely ridiculous and if I could take back the time I wasted here I would. Don't waste your money here unless you want management to be seeking a reason to kick you out. read more

I love this gym!!! Great staff, nice crowd and plenty of new, clean equipment. If cardio is your thing, there are tons of options; treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, a couple rowers and a couple stair climbers. Good amount of machines for circuit style strength training. The cable tower is big and has double stations for lat pulldowns and seated rows on either side. This gym is super accommodating for lifting at any skill level with the free weight/hammer strength machines/squat racks/benches in a nice separate area and dumbbells that increase by 2.5 up until 30lbs, which as a female trying to build muscle I really appreciate; sometimes that extra 5lbs is just a hair too much to increase. Dumbbells go to 100lbs. The gym can get busy at the usual times but it's pretty easy to find times that are less busy, especially with 24 hour access. AND ITS $15/MONTH!!! So, so worth it!! We've tried other gyms in the area and many in other states and this one always wins in our book, especially for that price. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for an affordable but QUALITY (as in not Planet Fitness lol) gym! read more
