When you first walk in the space is very welcoming and relaxing. There's great mood music going which already makes you feel less tense, especially anticipating a Brazilian. I was lucky enough to get a summer time fine appointment which included a complete Brazilian wax, eyebrow, lip and underarms wax! Plus an incredible custom facial all for 135. To start, it was my first time getting waxed and Hadiyah was so thoughtful in her approach. She checked in after every pull even towards the end. The wax used was the most comfortable I've ever felt on my brows and in general. I can't wait for the studio to be open again cause I am now a wax fan and want nobody else to do it. Now the facial !! I might be wrong but I assume the facial I got was shorter or not as extensive because it was part of this incredible bundle but even so!! It did wonders on my face. I finally booked and had a wonderful experience - as a Black woman it was dope to actually have a more in-depth conversation with a Black female esthetician. What an amazing experience I had with Hadiyah! I went in to get the Full Meal from her during the middle of November which included: a Brazillian, lip, eyebrow, and underarm wax, and an Essential Glow Facial. The date I booked was a booking error and she apologized promptly, rebooked me for the next available date she had and took $25 off my service. She was so nice and welcoming, and made me feel very comfortable. Very easy to talk to and the music she had playing in the background was *chef kiss* perfection! So relaxing and definitely looked up her playlist after. She was so gentle during the waxed and during the facial as well. She let me know what she was doing, talked to my about my skin care routine and asked my concerns with my skin. I'm going to start off by saying I love the place and the atmosphere, it is so calming and well maintained. Overall I loved the experience of getting a facial and Hadiyah was super nice as well. However, it definitely was not what I was expecting. I was expecting to walk out feeling like I learned something new. I felt as if there was more info I could have learned. If you plan on going here opt for the more expensive beginner facial because I felt as if the knowledge shared was based on how much you are paying from what I understood. I had questions written down but only got half-answers, as well as barely any product recommendations. I am not sure if it was because Hadiyah was super tired (which she disclosed due to having multiple appointments). I felt as if she was rushed as well throughout my experience because she was running behind. The facial itself was relaxing, enjoyed the extractions and how she explained everything that she was doing. She even provided a new mask for when the treatment was over! On the way out I felt super pushed into purchasing two products which I did not felt I needed but went ahead anyway (one was from her own brand, and the other was not), which I do not know how to incorporate into my routine because when I asked this question she answered in a way I quite did not understand. I felt as if she could have answered my product questions better especially because my main concern was around hyperpigmentation. I was planning to become a member pending my first experience but I feel as if my appointments will be the same following, so unfortunately I will not. But I did enjoy my facial experience and Hadiyah is very nice! I just felt as if my experience was not as great as it could have been given my questions got answered and I understood my skin more. This was my first time ever going an esthetician and my first time receiving a facial. I got the Essential Glow Customized Facial because it was my first time & her website said initial skin analysis which was what I needed I messed up my skin because I didn't know what it wanted/needed. My face was so bad, not even make up could save it, foundation would emphasize my textured skin & break apart from the oils. No matter what I did, my face was constantly breaking out or just reacting to something. Everything I put on it had a sting but at the same time it felt like I had a dry crusty layer on my face that cause no type of hydration to be absorbed but was too damaged/sensitive to be exfoliated at home. So I decided to go to Hadiyah, especially after seeing her stuff on Twitter, which I've been following for a while. & oh my god was the experience amazing. I almost fell asleep multiple times during the session. & my skin felt amazing afterwards, we both were kind of disappointed we didn't take before & after pictures. My skin instantly looked better, more hydrated & felt softer. Even a week after, my skin was still having the glowing effects. I ended up buying the recommended products over the next couple of days & my skin has never been better. Still some acne, but no more stinging or dry crusty layer.
