I will just say it, the Onion Rings are one of the BEST I have ever had! We started out our meal with rings as the appetizer. The service was very good and the waitress kept the water glass full! I order a burger, All American burger. The egg, bacon and cheese burger was very good. The bun made this burger a superstar. The batter fried French fries were very good. I have said this before, there is something about batter fried FF that makes then taste better than regular FF. This place is huge inside but also has limited outside seating. Plenty of televisions so a great place to watch sports. I would certainly return to this place...especially for the rings!! read more

Haven't ate there for a couple of years. The place has a dirty feel to it. Their popcorn machine looks like it's been neglected. Got our menu and the first thing I've noticed was the price hike. I don't remember paying $50 for 2 beers, a burger basket and wings. Every burger on the menu is $15-16. Next time I want to spend that stupid amount on a burger, I'll choose it from a finer restaurant downtown. Absolutely no food for value anymore at this establishment so I won't be going back again. read more

This place is not just a neighborhood gem any longer as it has moved into the first rank of Rochester's restaurants. The food here is really excellent. I can sense that a personal pet peeve of the person(s) running this place has been eliminated, i.e., undercooked food, especially when fried. I had come to believe that it's impossible to find fully-cooked french fries in this town, or properly toasted bread, but Glynner's has convinced me that I was wrong. Fried foods are done to perfection here. This ranks up there in importance with the discovery of penicillin. To top it off, the service is always flawless. You'll want to go 25% or higher. The pub with the grub. Local, long time watering hole pouring over 50 kinds of import and domestic beer, full wine and cocktail menu and serving made from scratch cooking. Simple bar, tables and chair done in the standard sports and liquor signs motif. Free popcorn. My choice for the evening was the fish tacos, with the option of coleslaw, tots or fries. The meal arrived with two nicely filled flour tortillas with beer battered cod, shredded lettuce and cheese, tomatoes and their own special sauce. The battered cod was crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside and had a good flavor that stood out from the rest. The special sauce added the needed zest. If you are looking for a simple bar with basic pub fare you won't be disappointed. Lots of TVs on the wall but no sound. Lots of hard surfaces make this a noisy place for conversation but the service is good. I'm pretty much here 2 nights a week (Mondays & Wednesdays) from September to May as they sponsor my volleyball team. (You buy T-shirts from them & they give you a $150 drink tab for your team for the duration of the season & you get buy 1 get 2nd 50% off all appetizers). Wait staff is very friendly, but in my experience, I've usually gotten better/faster/more attentive/friendly service on Monday nights, but maybe that's just me. There are plenty of TVs scattered all over the bar & it has a very "warehouse" feel to it (open ceilings, patio umbrellas hanging from the ceiling). They do have daily specials that change seasonally & they do try to introduce "new" seasonal items to their menu too, which is nice. They have a smaller selection of beers on tap (about 10?) & it rotates seasonally; they do have a fully stocked bar as well. Their appetizers (apparently the entire 1st page of the menu is considered "appetizers") are all pretty good, although I do have to say that most of their fried food tends to be a bit on the salty side, but if you do get any of the fried food, get their chicken tenders. They're lightly battered, hot, crispy, huge, & delicious. Cheese curds are always a go-to as are their walleye strips & fries (yeah this is considered an "appetizer"). Whenever I get the fries, I usually ask to get them unsalted, they still come out tasting great. Their nachos are huge, sliders are decent, wings are good, but ask to get them fried "extra crispy" otherwise they can come out sort of soggy; chipotle BBQ sauce is pretty good on em. Onion rings look like they were made from mutant onions as they're huge, but once again, a tad bit on the salty side, same thing with their onion strings. Overall, a decent place to head to after sports or just to hang out for a bit after work. read more

My family and I are there last night. We are here for three weeks for mayo. My dad got the haddock and he said his was alright. My mom got the chicken tenders they were OK. I got the Philly cheesesteak and I asked for mushrooms on it and extra on top of that. There was hardly any on it was very dry meat and no flavor. I ordered a bloody Mary it was out of a bottle and horrible. The wait staff.... Were very unfriendly, so lazy. They sat at the bar the entire time. The place was so dirty it was gross. The sterile open warehouse feel makes the place echo-ey and less intimate so that as soon as we ate, we pretty much left to hang out in the car for another 30 minutes to finish our conversation! But what this place lacks in ambiance, eye interest, or even seat comfort on the inside, it makes up for it with taste. Note: If you ever ever crave french fries in this town, the only place I would recommend is Glynner's. Their fries are crunchy. Crisp. Punched with flavor. Great after-taste. Glynner's Pub- Glynner's is a fun filled multi-age pub that has been around for many years.The Glynn's have put a spin on an old world pub witha reasonable selection of beer,wine and classic food. As I ordered a classic cheeseburger with seasoned fries I saw a group of businessman disscusing the Twins Game. As it was 10pm I expected to be rushed out but was greeted kindly by waitress Chris. She did what most other waitress do not when deali9ng with a large group and a small group(She kept my MD refilled the whole time). my overall experience was good but next time I will try the GOOBER Burger(with PB&fried egg) The Glynn's have done a fantastic job with Glynner's Pub and expect only more from them. read more

I know they were busy, but the service was awful. I think we sat for nearly 20 minutes and it took 2 passes by to clear the table from the last guests items. The food was cold, chicken chili was broth and ?, french dip was sent back twice by my friend because the bun was old and the meat was tough. A great disappointment for the food. Been here twice in four days and the Jim's Monster burgers (well done w/bacon and cheese) were outstanding. The seasoned fries were quite tasty. The Walleye appetizers are the best! And of course, how can anyone go wrong with a tall glass of Guinness from the tap! Overall, my visit from Kansas City to The Mayo Clinic via Glynner's Pub has been worth the trip.
