After dropping off my area rug to be cleaned, I asked the two employees if they could help me roll it out at my home, since I am physically unable to do so due to a recent back surgery. To my shock, they told me it would cost $50 for them to roll out the rug--a task that would have taken them two minutes at most! I was planning to tip them $20 for their help, which I thought was more than fair. But to demand $50 for such a simple favor is outrageous and feels like a blatant rip-off, especially from a company that advertises "world-class service" and prides itself on being family-owned and community-focused. This is not the type of care or respect I expected, especially considering their claims of friendly, reliable, and customizable service. Based on my experience, GM Carpet Care is more interested in nickel-and-diming customers than actually providing the helpful, compassionate service they promise. I will not be recommending them to anyone, and I suggest others look elsewhere for a company that values its customers and doesn't take advantage of them. read more

The guys from GM just left my home after cleaning my 2 bedroom carpets. I wish I had remembered to take a before picture but I didn't so you'll have to accept my word on this. When they were done and I looked at the rugs, I literally wanted to cry happy tears. The master bedroom rug was stained in so many areas due to my mother's deteriorating health issues. I thought I really would need to replace it but figured I'd give cleaning it a try first. I'm so glad I did. My bedroom rugs look brand new! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company and their staff. They were communicative, they have extremely competitive pricing, they were knowledgeable and explained each part of the process and how it works and affects your rug. The carpet in my parents' house was not installed properly by the builder and had been buckling for years and was a trip hazard. I was in town for just a week and needed a quick solution. I found GM on Google, called and spoke with Carolyn who answered all my questions about stretching which seemed to be a much easier solution than replacing it. Mark, the owner, came out that afternoon and gave us a quote. They were busy but were very accommodating when I explained the time crunch. They were able to squeeze us in for a cleaning and carpet stretching which happened over two days. To prep for the stretching, you have to clear off and around the furniture, but they move it. They called when they were on their way and I appreciated the consistent communication from the first call. They took out 3 inches of excess and the carpet looks brand new! It only took a few hours and the results are dramatic. The price was very reasonable and everyone from GM we interacted with was professional and fantastic! I was in a situation where I had to step in and help someone who had just returned from the hospital and did not know the condition of the carpet in the home (there was a medical issue that was unknown to me). I called for an immediate appointment, but they were booked all day. I made an appointment for the next day, but Mark had asked if a cancellation occurred, would I be interested in having them come asap. I said Yes! Sure enough about 1 hour later, Mark called and told me there was a cancellation. The team showed up to take care of this awful mess and they did so quickly and professionally. The charge was fair and the job was completed 110% to my satisfaction. Mark was the person I talked to on the phone and he was incredibly helpful and understanding. The gave me a window of 9 AM to 3 PM....I am pretty sure they knew it would be later in the day and it would have been nice to have a shorter window of time. I was going to get the padding under my rug stretched so I moved almost everything out of the living room and hallway. At 2:30 I got a phone call saying that he just found out that I would want him to take his shoes off coming in to my house. I said yes, why do you ask? Just had my rugs and kitchen tiles cleaned for the first time by GM Carpet Care. Technicians were on time, area rugs and carpets, stained with cat hair-balls came out 100%. Grout in the kitchen and bathrooms sparkle. What I was most amazed about is that they moved my refrigerator and cleaned the tiles behind it and vacuumed the coils.
