After seeing the picture of the sushi boats floating around, we were very excited to try this place. The "sushi boat buffet" is something we've only seen once or twice before. Imagine our disappointment when we walk in and it's just a regular (but tiny) sushi restaurant. No boats. We decided to stay. We ordered seaweed salad (good portion size and good), spicy crab salad (excellent) and pork dumplings (very good). The sushi was very expensive so we only picked two rolls, shrimp with fried onions and a samurai roll (tuna topped with spicy salmon). The fish tasted fresh but there was way too much rice. I hate that. Service was ok, but when I asked for two waters, they gave me bottled. Uggh.

Three rolls from Sushi Boat, simple but we'll prepared

Renamed sushi bar. Small, slow, rude. Just plain bad service. Vacationers, don't waste your time.

Fish was ok, rice was stale and bland. 1 out of 3 roles was decent. Ginger was salty and even sweet.

It's good, but not memorable. The best one was the spicy shrimp. The place is to small, but ok prices.

Not great. Not terrible. For what it is, it should be a lot cheaper. If it was more affordable I would give it 3 stars.

When the food arrived it was in a very beautiful presentation and to our surprise it was in a cute boat shaped plate!

Nori Asian Grill - Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai...what was left after I indulged!

Vacationing in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, we had dinner tonight at Nori Asian Grill. We are staying…read moreat the Hyatt Grand Reserve and this is one of their restaurants. We expected good food at such a nice resort but this was so much more! We had the Chicken Tikki Masala and Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai. Both were so delicious, very authentic tasting, which was surprising having Indian and Asian (I know they share a continent, but are quite different in many ways culturally). Just the right amount of medium spice, and amazing flavor left us wishing we could bring it back to have the leftovers! The service was excellent and the ambiance was very nice with a cool looking bar decor as you enter. My kids also enjoyed their Lo mein dishes so much they left nothing on their plates, which is rare for them The resort is also a wonderful place to vacation, but more about that in their review. If you come to the Hyatt Grand Reserve here in Rio Grande, make a reservation at Nori - you need a reservation as it's popular. It will be a worthwhile experience for your palate ‍

The food was good but a bit on the pricey side specially for Puerto Rico, maybe equivalent to SF or bay area so we are used to those prices. The server we had was very sweet and she made recommendations that were delicious. What was not up to mark was the matcha tiramisu, it was super wrong texturally for a tiramisu and matcha flavor didn't come forth at all. The sushi and the drinks was the highlight.
