As we were looking through pictures my baby had, HAD IT and was hungry, tired, crying all of it and she still so patiently went through everything with us and even apologized for the internet taking so long and keeping me from feeding my son (not her fault AT ALL). I tried calling before my appointment to ask the photographer questions before the photoshoot, but the phone was never answered. There's only one person working the studio so if the photographer is taking portraits, no one is available to answer. I arrived for our 20 minute time slot. Photographer wasn't very friendly. This didn't make the session feel comfortable. There were only a few proofs that were decent so I stuck with one pose for the photo package. It wasn't until I got home that I realized that she didn't give me the wallet sized photos. I called back but again it was hard to get someone on the phone. Once I did, the girl said she would investigate the situation then call me back. Hours passed and no phone call. It was getting close to closing so I gave a call. She was with a client and said she remembered and would call me back. Sure enough she never called me back. So I called the next day, she let me know that I can go back to the store to pick them up. I told her that I don't live in the area. She responded that I can stop by whenever I'm in the area... not the exact response I was looking for. It would take time and gas for me to go back for the employee's error. I was expecting some sort of complimentary print out or something for the additional trip back to the studio. She assured me that they keep the proofs in their system for a month. I need the wallets soon so I had to plan a trip soon. On a Saturday, I was semi near by but decided to call before driving further. No one answers. Maybe the photographer is in a session or with a client? So I made the trip and the studio was closed. And not just closed for lunch. I had even waited for an hour to make sure. If a session isn't booked that day, a photographer won't show up. This was frustrating since they have "open" studio hours and she had told me to stop by accident when I was in the area. So another wasted time and gas. I called again during the week and let her know that I had went over the weekend and no one was there. I asked for the times someone would be there so I wouldn't waste another trip. When I arrived, the employee saw me and just handed me an envelope with the wallets without even saying a word. I thought this was completely rude. The service I received here was so bad. For that reason, I won't be going and I highly recommend you going somewhere else.

Luckily, I went on The Picture People's website and found this location inside Buy Buy Baby! I was ecstatic, as this is so close to our house!!! Today was our first time at this location. Since it's inside a store, they only have one studio available. I really like that because it's a lot more intimate and my son didn't get distracted by other people getting their pictures taken. We had my son's 4th birthday pictures taken! Our photographer's name was Alfredo. He is the sweetest, most caring, and patient photographer we have ever had! My son is very shy and Alfredo had no problem getting my son to come out of his shell. My son was laughing and smiling the whole session! Alfredo also made sure my son's hair and clothes were perfect for every shot. He captured my son's personality PERFECTLY in every shot! The whole process was so easy and pleasing. The photographers here are good as studio photographers go. WAY WAY better than those at JCPenny (my mother can take better pictures than JCPenny). At this location, there is less chaos (other kids crying, general hustle as appointment slots may be fully booked and back to back, the mall location has 3 simultaneous cameras in operation) as compared to the mall, I've been told by staff. Each season, every holiday, all childhood milestones - they have props for it. Locations get sent seasonal /holiday props from corporate. There are cupcakes for birthdays, trucks for toddlers, lemonade stands for kindergarteners. They keep a library of props for every dang occasion you can think of. Hella cute! I like that there are no sitting fees. If your kid wants to throw a tantrum or just insists on smiling like a chimp, you're out $0, need to buy nada and can just leave. Come back when your kid is ready to cooperate. Groupon and Livingsocial offer deals but I have had problems using the deals before they expire. It's not a big difference from their daily specials so just skip the couponing! Wish they sold digital images individually though. If you want one image, it'll cost you $150 (you get a DVD with all images). Opt for a package which includes the DVD and this might bring your bill down to $120. Plus they throw in a few sheets and a large wall frame. I always get suckered into spending ~$120. How can you say no to smiling baby pictures? You can't! That's how they stay in business!!

All we got was a free 8x10 but it really wasn't free because there was an undisclosed uncharge on the digital backgrounds. Now you get to use our photos but we do not think it was a reasonable deal. You knew how excited my son was to do this "modeling session" and you played us. We never ever paid over $150 at J.c. penney studios (Which is actually right next door! Go there!). I came back the next day to see if I could purchase another 8x10 with a coupon but the Manager said no, sorry, it's $24 for 1 sheet with 4 of the same photos. I don't wish bad on you but don't think your business will survive when you are stingy and lie. Most people cannot afford this. Also, I do not believe that the reviews are written by customers. Absolutely, ridiculous price when I can pay for a private photographer to shoot in the field for $400 and send me 60 edited shots. Or go to Sphere self serve photo and get a 15 min shoot with 60 edited shots for only $89. Employees and management were rude and would not work with me at all on pricing. They also would not refund me the $40 I spent to reserve my 30 minute slot less than 24 hours ago. They had open availability all day today, I wonder why. Very disappointed, this is not a way to treat a potential customer! You could've had my business if you just tried a little harder, sad!

After looking through her website, I was ecstatic to take advantage of her incredible skillset at such fair pricing. I opted to purchase a package including both maternity and newborn photos for my first pregnancy, and I'm so glad I did! Svetlana and her assistant were kind, professional, and so efficient. They have an incredible artistic eye, were wonderful to work with, and even included our dogs! Since purchasing my first package, I have since returned for a Mother's Day mini shoot, and today just completed newborn photos with my second child. They are true "baby whisperers", getting beautiful poses and keeping both my kiddos happy and content during the process. Highly recommend!
