I have been wanting to get head shots for a while, and I got my hair done and suddenly just had to do it right away! Abby was great! She helped me select the background and took awesome pictures. I'm grateful to her for slipping me in when I came by at without an appointment. I liked the pandemic-friendly way we selected the shots I wanted from my session, I sat down at one computer and she's 6 feet away at a different computer bringing up the pictures and letting me pick. This place has really turned itself around since Aaron, the new manager, completely took over! I had no plans to return to picture people due to past bad experiences, but Aaron asked me to give them one last shot with him being in charge! I accepted. This location is THE WORST Picture People ever. I mean EVER! Maybe it's just cause I have an eye for photography, who knows? I took my first kid to one in Rancho Cucamonga, and every picture session came out with great photos and prints, great color and sharpness. THIS location, did my second kid's pics. It is a janky studio, the lighting for pics is horrible and lacking. What's worse? The pictures weren't sharp at all, was WAY too dark, and dull in contrast and color. This is even AFTER the photographer said she had to brighten the pictures on the computer since their printer printed on the dark side. After all that editing...it was just not worth our money. Find another studio to take pictures at, and study great photography before scheduling pictures anywhere. We were just a last minute run in and get pics. I should've known better. read more

I actually love this place. The young lady that took our pictures was amazing! She knew how to take care of our fussy toddler and also was patient with our infant! Pictures were great! If you have certain poses in kind just let them know. If you don't want to spend an arm and a leg and just want to get things done, this is the place! You even get your prints and frames in a hour! Went in for holiday pictures. They were like half an hour behind schedule. Photographer was great. But it went downhill after the photo shoot. I didn't get to see / preview the digital images right away - more like an hour later! After viewing images, selecting -- gave Groupon code, 2 hours in to it - they say "oh, your Groupon is not working, there's no way for us to redeem it, huh???" My Groupon was perfectly fine! I don't know what kind of system they are running in this place! My kids were antsy, grumpy, hungry, and one very very frustrated momma -- left with out any holiday cards nor any pictures. Total waste of 2 hours, ho ho ho --- NOT! So now I have to schedule an appt with Target portrait studio instead! read more

Heather is fantastic! We had a wonderful photo shoot. She was incredible and patient with my two month old grand baby. My daughter showed Heather a quick photo of what she wanted and she quickly jumped into action and set it up exactly like the photo. I went with my two kids to take pictures, both of them were in a bad mood and complaining because they did not want to be there. We were on time and went right in. I'm really please with the way our pictures come out and the customer service. I purchaed a Groupon and had t reschedule several time because I was sick and even thou the day of the pictures I was still feeling sick they still look great. I explained to Alicia (sorry not sure about her name) that it was the first professional picture with my son as a teenager so it was very especial to me, she was on top of it to make sure we had the right poses. I'm also impress that she suggested other products and didnt push me when I said no because I was not sure how the pictures will look since I was sick. I purchased one heck of a Groupon deal but missed the deadline due to a sick baby. Heather was fantastic and allowed me to reschedule and at a time when my child was optimal. Upon checking in I was immediately greeted with a smile by as it turned out, Heather. Heather was fantastic with my little one and made the process very easy and pleasant. While she did her job and advise me of other packages and options that I could purchase and did try her best to sell me on the value, she didn't push me when I said that I wanted to stick with my purchase per Groupon. She also helped me place an order for coasters with some of the other images. I was unsure what to expect because of so many poor reviews but I must say I was very happy and satisfied with my experience. She was patient and relentless in her attempts to make her smile and my daughter finally warmed up mid way through the session. Not as bad as I thought. I booked an appointment to take holiday pictures with my 9 month old daughter. You can tell that they have great experience dealing with young kids and babies. They were about 25 minutes behind schedule. I ended up spending more than I plan because the pictures they took were so good. I came here with a $19 groupon deal my sister bought but I decided to get the $300 package with 2 picture frames and CD. Try to get here about 15 minutes early and have some patience if they are falling behind. Since this place is located in BUY BUY BABY, you can kill time but looking at the products at the store. Another tip is to bring your own props (blanket, stuff animal, etc) and they will work it in the photo shoot. They took far better pictures of my little one than I could with my digital camera. read more

I wonder what happened to this place. I have been coming here every year for my daughter's bday pictures since she was one. The quality of the photographers have gone downhill. We had an appointment on 03/30 at 5pm. When we arrived there was only 1 person working as photographer and sales person. She was running behind by 30 min. That is ok. But she took like 1 picture per pose leaving us no option whether the one was good or bad. Also my husband's hair wasn't in the photo and my daughter's one foot wasn't in the photo as well. Really regret wasting my familys' time with this place. I understand we went in the midst of the holiday season, but we were rushed and didn't get a single great picture that I can hang on my walls. The staff was super unfriendly, super non-kid friendly and definitely not the PICTURE PEOPLE. Most of my family is from the east coast and we don't get together often, so I felt forced to just get the CD of pics (even though we didn't love any of them), just to capture the memory (The $150 bought me 10 whole pics - what a rip off!!!). Definitely will find a personal photographer that can come to our house and capture much better pictures at half the cost next time!!!! read more

You get what you pay for. Booked an appt way in advance. Arrived early. Forced to wait. Rushed through by people who could care less how much trouble I had gone through to get my whole family ready for this. The clerk who helped us was unprofessional - in appearance and demeanor. In fact, she just added to the whole unpleasantness. Everyone was so concerned about selling us the upgraded packages - which would probably sell themselves if the "photographers" had taken any decent pictures. Pros: The photographers are usually good with kids. They are sweet and work to get good pics. I do not think they have a lot of training though- do not seem to know too much about cameras and lighting. But that is what I expect at this type of place. They also have a lot of cute props They are inside Buy Buy Baby- the best baby store ever! Cons: Customer service, actually lack there of. They are rarely on time, yet quick to cancel appointments if you are 5 minutes late ( even if they are running late). The girl behind the counter is on a power trip and rarely friendly or helpful. I use a professional photographer for real photos. I used to go here for fun, seasonal pictures. I'm sure they do fine with older kids; however, taking pictures of infants and toddlers seems to be a challenging task for all of their employees. This was a great location. My son has autism and can be difficult to take pictures of. Aaron made this experience stress free. He took the time to photograph each of my 4 children individually and together. My son didn't bother him as this can happen with an autistic child and people who don't understand the condition. We love the Picture People. We been going to them for over two years. They have taken shots of my children as newborns up to five years old. They always take the time to make sure they get the pictures I need and want. They are great with the kids and work with different props and outfits I bring. They've also done a few different family shots that include my husband and I. Misty, Lauren, and Heather are excellent photographers. Most recently we did family shots with Misty and she was able to get my kids happy and smiling as well as my picture-grumpy husband. We absolutely love working with Misty. I then came in again on 04/07/17 for the Easter collage and I love it here they have great deals on bundles ! :) And To mention that Melanie always attends us very well and has lots of patients! What a horrible experience today with no acceptable pictures to make up for it: 1. They double booked the appointment and decided that the older lady should go first instead of the mother with the 2.5 year old toddler and the 2 month old newborn. 2. After an half hour wait my toddler was understandably already out of patience. The photographer Trish had obviously no experience with small children and was not able to recapture his attention. Also, she had no idea what position is possible for a 2 month-old to hold. 3. Needless to say, there was not one picture I really liked in the whole session. 4. Hello. We had our in studiophoto shoot over a month ago. Paid for the package about 2 weeks ago. They keep saying their printer is broken and will be fixed. But yet nothing is getting fixed. Received a voicemail from Heather today that it will be printed indefinitely. UMM that doesn't help when I've ordered 2015 xmas cards to send out. This is not the first problem I've encountered with this business. This is our first time as a family getting " professional photos". Our son is 7months. This place is the worst picture people I have ever been to. Because of this location I will never be back. 3 out of the 4 sessions I booked with them they ran over a hour late when I had an appointment (with my 2year old) This last time was it! I waited over an hour then had a 15 min session then waited over an hour to view my photos. I ended up having 2 to choose from. Then the printer broke, so Melanie said they would call me as soon as my pictures were done. Well... around 5:30 I decided to call because they close at seven. Melanie said I was up next to have my pictures printed. I asked why they weren't printed, she told me she really couldn't tell me. We showed up an hour later, and to our surprise they still weren't printed!! We waited about 25 more min for them to print out, and the order was wrong. I'm still missing photos and a canvas. Called on Sunday to see if the problem was fixed and again Melanie told me she would call me back Monday and let me know what was going on with my prints that I've already paid for. Well here we are on Monday, still no call.... So I called Buy Buy baby to see what's going on, the photo studio is closed on Monday!!! Listen to the 1 and 2 star reviews here--they are correct. Picture People makes you wait when you arrive perfectly on time and they rush you at the end with making purchase orders. And there are no price sheets which is unhelpful to us yet convenient to their sales pitches. When it comes to the photography, I really think I could have taken the photos that I ordered in my own home...and I would have noticed the out-of-place hair on my boy that a photographer should have caught and corrected easily. I would have seen it but a parent has to help hold her three-month old up for pictures (the photographer makes you do this here) and doesn't see anything behind the camera. My little guy did a great job and for him, I am happy. For this studio and business, I'm bummed that I paid way too much for a CD with only 19 photos and the experience was lacking positive feedback. I will not return and really urge people to try elsewhere because I don't see negative reviews influencing change in how people here run this business. I am not bitter, but I do not give any recommendation to this place either. read more
