Reasonable, honest plumber who does excellent work! On June 6, 2026, I was in the Bronx helping a family with a water leak in their nearly 100-year-old house. This review is 1.5 months late because I wanted to be sure that the repairs made by Felip at GME Plumbing held up after he completed the plumbing work. I took pictures and sent them to Felip and he provided a reasonable estimate which included parts and labor, so we hired him. Felip and his helper did excellent work, left the place clean, and took away the rubbish. We paid the price in his estimate; there were no surprise extra charges. He 1) Repaired a leaking shower, replaced seat of valve with a special tool. Two previous plumbers only changed the washers and the leaks never stopped. 2) Replaced washing machine valves located behind shower wall. 3) Removed an old leaky toilet and replaced it with a new toilet. It's been over a month since the repairs were completed and there have been no leaks. The water bill is 40% less because of the repairs Felip made. We are very happy with Felip's work and will definitely use him again should we have further plumbing issues. read more

I am so impressed. We had an extremely clogged toilet that wouldn't give, no matter what we did. It was actually looking like a health hazard at one point. It was already like 10pm on a weekday and I checked Yelp and was calling around. Everyone else either sent me to voicemail or was really expensive. GME was there within an hour at a very reasonable price, fixed the problem in about 10 minutes, were perfectly polite and civilized despite how awful the toilet was... Felipe spoke to me on the phone yesterday. We agreed that he would come to our home the following day (today). He texted the time he would come to our home (see photo). I let him know that I would send videos of the issues when I got home from work, which I did (see photo). I followed up asking if he needed anything else and gave our address. I heard nothing from him so I sent a text asking him to confirm receipt of the videos. He responded at 4:30am saying he did. So I assumed we were all set for the appointment. I took the day off from work and waited...12:10pm came around and I called. Felipe said he didn't have any appointment scheduled for today. He said he'd have to call back. When he called back he asked if he could come tomorrow and I explained I could not take another day off from work. He said he'd make an exception and come on the weekend. I'd like to share what a great experience I had with Felipe today- owner of the GME Plumbing & Heating. Over the weekend, I finally made up my mind to go ahead fixing toilet leakage which I had been put off for past few years. Among several other competitors in Yelp, not only he responded first(less than a few min) he was the most courteous, competent & reasonable(fee). Several years ago, I had hired the illegitimate general contractor (my neighbor's friend) to do the bathrooms renovations. I get what I paid for. I found out today from Felipe, they used the temporary sealing(sponge) underneath my toilet. Plastic film ripped & it started to leak. So, when the toilet handle got stuck water was constantly running inside the bowl then, it leaked down to the 1st fl ceiling. Felipe replaced it with 2 set of waxes & sealed it carefully. Not only he did fine work but, cleaned himself afterwards! He's coming this Friday to fix other plumbing issues I have in my house. I don't leave a review normally but, I couldn't resist today. Unclog tub Quality was good but they flooded my floor and made it go through my ceiling into the kitchen. Felipe was amazing! I put a project quote up on Yelp and he quoted a fixed price. He showed up within the time window, was polite and friendly, and then started trying to figure out what was wrong with my fancy TOTO toilet that was making it run constantly. He and his parter worked for a while, then came out and said that a part needed to be replaced. Holding up the funky exotic TOTO part, and asking if it's okay if they come back in 45 minutes. I had to run out, but left instructions on how to get into my apartment, and decided to trust them to come in and do what's needed. Well! They found the replacement part, came back, replaced the part, and relocked up the place perfectly, then sent me the invoice. I'm used to getting the run around from other plumbers, so honestly, I was bracing for some "Oh, the replacement part- that's gonna cost ya!". I mean, also instead of it being a less than one hour job, they ended up having to spend a couple hours and drive around manhattan getting the part. Wellllll, get this. Good, honest plumbers!! This is the first time I have used them. Due to dripping, I thought I needed my outdoor AND indoor faucets replaced. However, after they inspected the outdoor faucet, they said it actually didn't need to be replaced, just adjusted. And sure enough, the adjustment corrected the problem. After they finished the indoor faucet, they said they couldn't charge me anything on the outdoor faucet because it only needed an adjustment to fix the dripping issue. What a refreshing display of honesty!! They could have easily just replaced and billed me for a new outdoor faucet I really didn't need replaced. I will use them again, not only for their good work, but also because I now know that they are honest plumbers that won't rip you off.
