But don't think you will be getting your money back (General Plumbing of Lakewood TAKES and holds your money hostage-- even with written proof from the manufacturer that the warranty unit is covered). There was no need to take my money upfront when the manufacturer confirmed unit was 100% covered which means they send General Plumbing a check And confirmed in writing. Instead, they make you pay upfront even with the full written approval. And then they are making me wait until they said they received the credit--and received And they got the credit days earlier and told me by phone they didn't get it. And they said it would take weeks for it to be processed. And then I called the manufacturer again and they said they sent the warranty credit five days earlier -- and would send it Again to General Plumbing this day. Then I called General again, a second time this day-- and they said they referred it upstairs for processing after I indicated that it was previously sent days ago and again this day. We visited the large box stores (Lowes and Home Depot) but were unhappy with both the pricing (even after "discounts") and the level of expertise of the employees assigned to the kitchen department. A friend told us of Kitchen Krafter and my wife and I decided to try them. We were helped by Lisa and Carla, two of the most knowledgeable kitchen cabinet people I have ever met! After innumerable phone calls and questions, we purchased our kitchen cabinets and crown molding from them, at a less expensive price then the box stores (same products!). When the cabinets arrived my wife didn't like the grain on one of the cabinet doors (subjective opinion), so Lisa had it quickly exchanged without any problem. Such personnal service and product expertise could not be matched by any other cabinet supplier that we met with. Go with these gals - they are great!

Could have purchased the same cabinets and countertop at a Big Box store, but might have ended up with a 21 inch sink as requested, and not a 21 inch sink base, which resulted in an 18 inch sink - the difference was never explained. But the big problem was the contractor Lisa highly recommended as a "craftsman" - George Evans. He continuously made misrepresentations about timing (gross delays, even by contractor's standards). A number of important elements needed to be redone (e.g., wrong type/color of paint, counter top design and grout), because he did not follow specific written and verbal instructions, and could not focus on time management, details, and task completion. He persistently gave excuses and blamed others (subcontractors) for delays and errors; after a point, he lost credibility. We ended up accepting his mistakes as design compromises, just to get the job done and get George out of the house. Bottom Line: I CANNOT recommend Kitchen Krafter.

Parts were installed incorrectly, there was dirt and writing left of pieces, the wood glue used on every single piece was dirty. They came back to fix it which slightly improved things but overall, the experience with them was awful and the final product was not worth what we paid for. We heeded is advice, looked at the two tiles we were considering and purchased our tiles and they came in on the day promised. The price was extremely reasonable and the staff even helped with figuring out how we wanted to create the backsplash behind our gourmet range. Everything came out perfectly!
