I have always had a difficult time starting this saw and had that problem since day one- not uncommon for Stihl chainsaws. I left a $50 deposit and after 3 weeks I was told the saw was not worth fixing. I picked up the saw the following day and asked if maybe PART of the $50 could be used toward another saw, Bob Potter the owner was extremely arrogant and told me flat out NO, the $50 was to check the saw. I asked since I was a long time customer of over 40 years and I have bought two blowers, two mowers, 2 chainsaws and garden supplies every year that he give me a break on another saw, his reply was the price marked - MSRP is the price, he then turned his back and walked away. In addition, my children went to school with his kids and visited each other's homes. I attempted to explain while he was walking away that I would be selling my home in the very near future and I just need to remove some downed trees. One would think a little goodwill on his part since I proved customer loyalty. I walked out and will never be back. I only wish that I knew his arrogance before I spent thousands of dollars in prior sales. I wouldn't give this business the time of day. There are too many businesses that treat their loyal customers with respect. STAY AWAY from this greedy ungrateful business...Potter & GREEDY Sons. Took the saw to another shop and within 5 days they rebuilt the carburetor, the saw now runs great, total cost for their repair $128.30- As I said, STAY AWAY FROM POTTER & SONS, they are a bunch of greedy arrogant know nothing.

    $900 Washer Failed in 4 Weeks - Hazlet Lowe's Needs to Make This Right…read more We purchased a brand-new Maytag washing machine from the Lowe's in Hazlet, NJ on November 6th for $900. Within four weeks, the software failed mid-cycle, leaving our clothes soaking wet and the machine completely unusable. The Hazlet store directed us to Maytag for service. The technician confirmed a replacement part is needed but is currently out of stock, with no clear repair timeline. In the meantime, our family of three (two working parents and a toddler) has now been without a working washer for three weeks and has spent approximately $500 sending out laundry just to manage basic household needs. Neither Lowe's nor Maytag has offered reimbursement, a temporary solution, or meaningful customer care. When we requested a replacement unit, we were told we would need to purchase a new one at full price because we were outside the 48-hour return window -- despite the appliance failing almost immediately after purchase. We are asking the management team at Lowe's Home Improvement - Hazlet to review this situation and contact us to provide a fair resolution. A $900 appliance should last longer than one month, and customers should not be left absorbing hundreds of dollars in additional costs when it doesn't.

With that being said, I called Lowes online customer service, was on with a representative for 1 hour and 20 minutes and I feel I was not receiving fair compensation(I was offered a $50 Lowes E card, great so I'll go into the store and spend double probably, about the time from work I lost, what about the fact my contractor needs to come back and cannot finish the job, what about the lost time on the phone that I cannot get back on my day off). I called again today and spoke to another representative who also was trying to just get me off the phone, and was again on the phone for an hour, but I was not going to give up so easy this time and I was on my way to the Lowes store when the representative told me to partner with the manager in the store that is when I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Ashely, the manager at the Holmdel Location. Ashely was kind, understanding and helped me resolve the situation. I was never going to shop at Lowes again before meeting Ashley, it is because of her that I will continue to patronize this establishment. Things happen, I get it, but it is how you are treated and the resolution that will always matter to me. THANK YOU ASHLEY YOU ARE A FANTASTIC REPRESENTATION OF HOW I WILL NOW THINK OF LOWES EVERY TIME I GO TO MAKE A PURCHASE!!!!!
