Seems like they all hate and dread helping whoever walks in...very poor customer service.

I love just wandering the store, seeking out new products and items. There is everything from fresh to frozen, canned, homeopathic medicine, soaps, and lotions. Most stores I enter have very few items I can eat. But here there are a lot of snacks, sweet items, drinks, and even packaged items such as chips. I adore that they carry a variety of flours, nut flours, gluten-free, cassava, tapioca, as well as others. The store always smells clean. In the wintertime, there is a smell of ginger. The employees are always courteous and knowledgeable. The only con is that they do not have a store in Sparks. Best tip: Don't forget to bring your own grocery bags or cooler. I bring a cooler in the summertime. Always pack more bags than you think you will need.

Burned by Whole Foods on a Too Good To Go offer. I should have heeded the warnings I read about To…read moreGood To Go offers from Whole Foods. Last night I accepted an offer for $21.00 worth of a Variety of refrigerated foods for $6.99. When I arrived the employee had several bags ready for TGTG orders. She handed me a bag with two 1-gallon jugs of milk and 1 leaking quart of milk marked with a 50% Clearance tag, all expiring the next morning 7/23/26. I explained it was impossible for my wife and I to drink over 2 gallons of milk by tomorrow and was told all the bags contained only milk. TGTG is designed to help business reduce food waste, but Whole Foods uses the app to offload expiring product on unsuspecting customers. A typical family cannot drink over 2 gallons in 24 hrs so Whole Foods forces the consumer to throw it away instead. I contacted TGTG explaining what I received and they concluded that I did not receive a "variety of refrigerated items" as promised, but instead a massive surplus of a single item and a damaged food item which is prohibited per their policies. TGTG issued a refund, but the important message is not to allow Whole Foods to push their waste on to you.

I think I need to update my review from 14 years ago!!!!…read more I stand by my original post: How wonderful to have a real grocery store that specializes in local and organic products. Much of the produce is locally grown, or locally adjacent (AKA California) OK, Bananas do not grow in the Great Basin. The origin of the produce is identified. They work with local farmers, bakeries, and other local businesses for the food and non-food items. They no longer have the upstairs restaurant but they do have a kitchen and make ready to go items. I love picking up a fresh salad (some with meat some purely vegan/vegetarian) , a yummy very generously filled wrap, house made cookies and other delectable treats. They have a large selection of locally produced meats. Lots of organic canned goods, dairy and non-dairy items . . . the list goes on. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Memberships are available (20$/year) with a once a month 10% off of your total purchase. You do NOT need a membership to shop here. It's small and a bit cramped but there is a lot of good stuff there. It's clean and friendly and completely locally owned.
