Haven't been here in years! Still a jem. Came to get a certain vitamin and it was here. Has a small…read morekitchen for vegan food and drinks. A few people were coming to fill their jugs with water. Customer service was helpful and knowledgeable. Check this place out!

On the surface this may seem like a place just for crunchy granola types, but my curiosity once…read morebrought me though the door and I'm very glad it did because this place is special. It's small and cozy inside and the place has old bones you can tell by the creaking wood floors. It feels like walking into an old timey little grocer, but this market is dedicated to natural produce and promoting good health. They have a lot of products from CBD, to vitamins, essential oils, and natural beauty products. They also have a lot of food items like organic snacks, juices, soups, and many more. What brings me back though is their little kitchen where they whip up smoothies, wraps, salads, and some delicious veggie burgers. They offer spicy black bean burgers, and most recently I tried a soy blend burger made with various nuts and other ingredients. These aren't the type of veggie burgers that try to mirror regular burgers, they have their own unique textures and tastes. Originally it was a bit out of my comfort zone as an avid meat lover but I love to try new things and I have to say they are quite delicious. As I start to learn more about ways to improve my health I wouldn't be surprised if I start to come in more regularly. I highly recommend coming in to browse. Even if it doesn't seem like your cup of tea, you're likely to be surprised by how many awesome things they have for sale! It also helps that the employees are super friendly and they usually play great tunes!

As a foodie transplant from the West Coast, walking into Reid's immediately reminded me of a…read morebeloved high-end grocer back home--something along the lines of Draeger's: beautifully curated, family-owned, and designed to feel like a destination rather than just a place to shop. There's a real sense of history here. From what I understand, Reid's is one of the oldest grocers in Charlotte, and that legacy shows in the details. The rich green tile, classic signage, and thoughtfully designed layout create an elevated, almost European-style market experience. It feels polished, intentional, and welcoming all at once. What stands out: * The store is beautifully merchandised and carefully curated with specialty and seasonal items you don't always find elsewhere. * The wine bar and café concept make this more than a grocery stop--it's a place to linger. I've enjoyed flights, tastings, and brunch on the patio, and each visit has felt like a small occasion. * Location-wise, it really depends on which store you're visiting. The SouthPark and Myers Park locations have easy, convenient parking, and there's also a newer location in Ballantyne (near Pineville). The Uptown locations, while not necessarily "easy parking," are incredibly walkable--perfect if you live, work, or have meetings nearby. If you're already Uptown, this is a fantastic stop to pick up elevated items for a beautiful dinner--think wine, specialty cheeses, or even something indulgent like caviar to round things out. One thing I appreciate is that Reid's doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It's not an organic-focused market like Whole Foods, and that's okay--it serves a different purpose. The clientele here tends to be people looking for specialty ingredients, elevated prepared foods, and a more curated shopping experience. Many shoppers probably visit both stores depending on their needs, and I find myself doing the same. When Reid's really shines: During the holidays and special seasons. Their selection of unique, festive, and hard-to-find items makes it a go-to for entertaining or finding something a little extra special. Overall, Reid's feels like a true Charlotte institution--elegant, distinctive, and consistently well executed. It's the kind of place that makes grocery shopping feel enjoyable again, and I'm looking forward to continuing to explore more of what they offer as I keep eating my way through Charlotte. Bottom line: A beautifully curated local market with history, charm, and a destination-worthy wine bar--perfect for specialty shopping, brunch, and seasonal finds.
