Nice menu. We always visit the South Park mall location and dine outside. Tuesday 1/2 price burger is a favorite for us -burgers always generous and cooked to your liking-lots of topping offerings and fries are divine although you can get other sides as well. Their strawberry salad is generous, fresh and delicious. We have also gotten some of their fresh items including steak, loaded baked potato, salads, etc and these are top end and absolutely delicious to take home and grill or entertain at home. The shop is also a great place to grab a gift basket; cheeses, breads, wine, etc for a special occasion, picnic, hostess gift. Today was half-price burger Tuesday. Lunch specials are available from 11 am according to their web site. The grill was not even turned on or prepared at 11 am. Ordered two burgers medium rare, required over fifteen minutes, even though ours was the first order if the day. The burgers were badly overcooked, dry, gray, and flavorless. Pimiento cheese spread was similarly flavorless. French fries were nothing special. For a daily special lunch item, this was a huge failure. Food, service and atmosphere is always impeccable. The wait staff has always been more than accommodating and pleasurable. We are constantly in there (3 or more times a week) and have never had an issue with anything. We enjoy the neighborhood feel and how welcoming everyone is. I had the pleasure of attending a ticketed holiday wine tasting event at the bar. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the tasting came with a made to order Philly cheesesteak. Only down side abt the location is the parking lot is small and can certainly be a challenge depending on the time of day. Honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had... literally putting this review up as the plate is being taken away

So disappointed with the catering I ordered to pick up for my bookclub. First, the automated system sent me an invoice with the wrong pickup date so I had to call and email to learn that they are fully aware that their automated system routinely sends out erroneous information, yet they didn't think to follow up with an email that would inform me of that. Second, when I went to pick up my order, the two employees at the counter had absolutely no idea what to do when someone enters their store to pick up a catering order. Third, much of the food was inedible. The Spinach Artichoke Dip tasted like it had gone bad ~ even my omnivore husband wouldn't eat it. And the hummus was tasteless. I ordered catering because I'm not a good cook ~ but even I could prepare more palatable food than this! read more

Pretty disappointed.... Both my water glass and wine glass were dirty, both had dried chunks of stuff stuck to the glass and one even had lip prints on it. I also ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap and it didn't come as requested but I ate it since they all seemed pretty busy. This is your stop for premium food options. I can't add much else to what others have said except you will pay a premium price. It's very cramped and small in certain areas so you can't get in the coolers if there is someone in the aisle. They don't put prices on all the items. The lines at the cashier is long and slow. They don't check the coffee dispenser so you may pay for a cup and not find out there is no coffee. They do have a good sized parking area in the rear. read more

The deli counter is drool-worthy with sliced ribeye and prepared salads. The meat counter is loaded with bone-in t-bones and racks of lamb, veal chops and bacon. If you're looking to have a head start on your meal, their marinated pork tenderloin looks amazing. Need some twice-baked potatoes or a chicken pot pie? Oh, my! I've looked around in two of the Reid's locations and everyone was friendly and gracious. The first time I visited, I walked around to scope out the market offerings, which range from prepared foods, deli meats, butcher meats that can be packed up and taken home to cook, and grocery items. The second time, I wanted to try their famous steak burger made with ground meat from three different cuts of steak. My folks and I were seated promptly around 2 or 3 PM, an ideal time to visit when it wasn't super busy. Our waitress was pleasant and put in our order promptly. During the pandemic, they used folding screens to divide tables for social distancing and placed high tables by the bar to social distance bar patrons from the bartender. Burgers took about 12-15 minutes I would say. Many had raved about the truffle fries, which my dad and I got. My mom went with a side salad. Wow. The burger was tender, very flavorful and not salty or over seasoned. The bun was not too bready and the fries had enough truffle seasoning without overpowering the fries. Not a cheap offering, but the waitress did share that they do half price burgers on Tuesdays - I'd definitely give that a try next time I'm in the area. The also sell the patties for their steak burgers so you could grill them up at home - a great option if you can't dine in or want to make the burgers at home without the fries and what not. Expect crowded parking full of luxury cars (I feel like I need to detail mine before I visit), and prices to match. I can't imagine having the urge (or the bank account) to do any significant amount of grocery shopping at Reid's, but for a specialty item or lunch from the deli counter, I'm all in! I stopped by with a friend on a whim today. We were trying to get a lobster roll from Clean Catch across the street but they were sold out. We arrived around 12:30pm and were surprised there wasn't a huge crow or long line. I hemmed and hawed over their sandwich offerings and finally ordered a tuna melt. But wait! As soon as I wandered down the aisle and saw the curry chicken salad, I had order envy. I asked to sub the tuna with chicken salad and the guy behind the counter obliged me with a smile. Do yourself a favor and head to Reid's on a Tuesday for a half priced steak burger. $7.50 including a side (their fries are to die for) and the burger is massive. I recommend that you go early (starts at 5 PM for dinner) or towards kitchen closing because it gets really packed in there for this deal. Other than that, Reid's is a solid local grocer carrying many local products. This location also has an awesome wine collection. Great place to pop in for a sandwich or to grab the essentials for making a cheese board. They also have a wide selection of their signature gift baskets for sale. Very cozy and neighborhood vibe in here and lots of regulars. Such a cute store full of so many local flavors of Charlotte. This place triples as a cafe, a small grocery store and a sweet shop. It seems as if most stuff is made in house or sourced locally.
