Went in there Friday Feb 20th just after 1pm. Wasn't looking for anything in particular as I'm just getting myself back into shape, thought I'd browse around. The store was clean and organized and the young man working there did offer help which I eventually did need some help but unfortunately they were out of what I was looking for. This wasn't the problem though, the problem I had was as I was checking out, the young man asked if I had a number, I wasn't sure so I gave him my number and we found out I did not have a number in their system. I quickly said it's ok as I wasn't looking to create a loyalty account. The young man said something under his breathe and while I didn't hear him completely it sounded like he said he'd use another number. Before he could complete anything I asked him to repeat what he said, to which he replied he would use the last gentleman's number for my transaction. I work for a place that has a loyalty program. I realize transactions are tracked and there is an attachment rate needed for transactions with loyalty number. Now at my place of work the loyalty number also connects to that customers info and mistakes have been made where one has done what this young man was going to do then the customer makes a return and the receipt attaches to the rewards owners CC. So I did ask the young man why he would do that, just charge me without using a loyalty account, he muttered something about not needing a phone number to make a purchase. I say muttered because he was focused on finding the last phone number and not hearing that I just asked him not to. I decided to walk away without making my purchase as I did not feel comfortable having my transaction tied to another persons loyalty account. For store management: please don't pressure the staff so much on this attachment rate, as to force them to not listen to the customer. read more

First time here today and Bastien was super helpful. He made some great flavor recommendations regarding some energy drinks. I don't drink them and I was buying it for someone else. Sorry I didn't get a chance to take photos. Parking located in front or behind the building. They have descent amount of product variety in store. read more

Pricing shown on shelves was 44.99 When I went to purchase it rung up at 98.00 When I pointed out the pricing on the shelf, I was told that the shelves were for vitamins, but apparently someone had moved the vitamins off the shelf. Pretty hilarious if you ask me! I told them that this is a very misleading and bad way to do business and that they should post the actual price. They were not very concerned. read more

This location is inside the Otay Ranch Mall and is near the corner next to Planet Fitness. Parking is reasonable, but a little tricky. You'll be lucky to get a spot in front when it's busy. Once inside you are quickly greeted by the staff and they are very helpful with any questions you have. I go here regularly and decided to go with the Pro Membership, which has its perks and gives me great deals. So if you are looking for great supplements for a reasonable price than GNC is a great place to go! read more

I usually come here for last minute needs since it's close to the house. The staff is always professional and ready to answer questions and give recommendations. I came in yesterday to get recommendation for a new pre-workout and was recommended the Juicy Peach Alani pre-workout. It's actually pretty good. The store is kept clean and organized. Close by parking can be a challenge since it's at the Otay Ranch mall and it's nearby a few gyms (Club Pilate, Title boxing, Planet fitness, etc). read more

DO NO GO HERE! I would not recommend this location for many reasons. I ordered something from here and I never received it. Talked to Sergio and he was rude to me and didn't help me at all with my situation. It's disappointing, the customer service and the lack of respect for others. Do not go to this location! I experienced a really uncomfortable conversation with another guy in the store. He was harassing my son and then saying inappropriate stuff to my kid. I stepped up as a mother and defended my child. I grabbed my packages and left. The employee Sergio was rude and while I was rushing to get away from the customer Sergio sabotaged my delivery and switched the packages when I handed them to him to scan. I didn't notice it until I left. On multiple occasions I have encountered uncomfortable talks with him. He has marked my deliveries late even though I show up 15 mins prior to the start. I will never shop at this business ever due to their unprofessional behavior to their customers or whoever comes to the store. read more

I purchased several containers of a certain flavor that I'm not satisfied with and they do not accommodate for exchange if you're past the date allowed. I can understand not taking back the opened containers of unsatisfactory. But I had one that was not open that I just wanted to exchange and I get my money back and they still would not accommodate which I think is terrible customer service read more

This place is always a clean operation. The staff will help you and inform you of what their products are and what they do. Pretty impressed. I was looking for a dietary supplement to help shed some weight. I was introduced to 3 different products. I ended up taking a lean shake product, however, the other products I got an intro to are items I may purchase later. Stuff here is going to be bit hefty on the wallet. The sales staff will upsell you into buying a gold membership which is an extra $9.99 for a period of time. If you aren't feeling that then do not get it...research a product on their site prior to going in if you want to save time and know what you want. Went in this evening looking for some creatine supplement for muscle gain. Having never taken creatine before the representatives helped me choose the right brand and product based on my goals. They asked questions and then made several recommendations. I found their suggestions helpful. Went in to return a protein powder I got from another gnc because it was way too sweet for me. PATRICK was incredibly helpful and listened to me rant about all the things I didn't like in order to find a protein powder I would possibly like. He also suggested adding almond milk instead of water so the protein doesn't taste as bad. Got home and had to try the new powder with the almond milk and I have to say, he was right. Patrick was super awesome and funny, will for sure be back to this GNC. read more

Placed order through store on 11/30 because they were out of stock. 3 weeks later find out my order was cancelled. Customer service couldn't tell me why. Customer service rep couldn't process my refund but couldn't explain why. Just that the system was allowing him. Said i had to go back to the store. Called store was told after they spoke with customer service was told I would get a check in 3 weeks. 4 weeks later no check. Called 2/1 after 30 min on phone was told info was sent to management and he would call me with update no later than next day. 2/5 no return phone call. Called again..same story...we're so sorry. I'll get this taken care. Of course the case notes didn't have any information from call in 2/1. Requested to speak with a manager was told I couldn't. That they don't have phone numbers or email for managers. But she said trust me i will take care of this. After requesting,again, to speak to a manager, i was told i'm sorry I can't do that and was hung up on. GNC filed for bankruptcy last year. The problem isn't the store rather it's the employees. They are rude and aren't very helpful. I was an regular customer there until one of their employees told me in a rude way that i wasn't making gains whatsoever and that i needed to get off the "supplements." I'm only on whey and a preworkout/Creatine so i found that a little disturbing. The point here is that the employees job is to sell and help with whatever questions customers may bring, but i KNOW what i am doing. I am never going there again. read more

The only time I actually go to GNC, I already know what I'm going to be getting. I went in here recently to find a BCAA with some taste and to help me recover from my workouts faster. I had an idea of what I was going to get but I decided to walk in here and ask the two ladies that were working there a few questions. They were very knowledgeable and pointed me to exactly what I was looking for. They even gave me tips on how to stack it with the Whey protein that I was taking. The only thing that I don't like about this place is that even with a Gold card, you are only able to use it the first week of every month, which I think is useless. I gave this location 4 stars because my experience was real good. Nice and friendly advice, and they even threw in a few samples of other things I can try out for free. The product I ended up buying was also on par with the online price, so I wasn't disappointed at all. I will be coming back here again. read more
