I stopped in Jamba for a quick bite and I noticed that they were now offering empanadas. I ordered two of the chicken ones for $6 for two. The empanadas were pretty good. They were well filled with tender chicken, but the cumin seasoning was a little high. The crust was pretty good, but an additional 45 seconds to a minute in the high convection oven would have been good to develop a more crusty texture and a better golden brown color. They offer Tapatio and ketchup for a sauce. It would be great if they would offer the little Cholula hot sauce packets as well. This location is so clean! Properly adhering to CDC guidelines, this location basically removed all seating tables and chairs. The front door has numerous signs about Covid-19. When you walk in, there is tape leading you where to go. The workers were very friendly and seemed happy to be at their job, which is great and shows a lot about management. They are well versed on the menu and will gladly explain what ingredients the item consists of. I ordered the almond nutty bowl but the person making the bowl accidentally made the chunky strawberry bowl. At first, I was wondering why the bowl was pink and knew for a fact I was the only person in the store that ordered a bowl... I like this location better than the one on Otay Lakes Rd. by Lowe's. The vibe seems better here. I usually get good service and perfect smoothies. I love ordering through the app on my phone. But today, my daughter said that something tasted off, like "earth", in her drink when she was almost finished with it. We were already home by then. She found the culprit at the bottom- it was a really brown banana slime, er, slice. Personally, this place is my new favorite Jamba Juice. The one in Eastlake used to be my favorite (because it was the only one in the area), but now that there's another one, I prefer the latter. This location is perfect because right after taking my summer body sculpting classes, I can just drive right across the street for a rejuvenating smoothie--with or without protein. Not only is this location great, but so is the Jamba Juice itself. It's very big and spacious with seating by the windows, and there's also a patio outside for more seating. Generally, this location doesn't get TOO crowded. The workers are kind and the drinks are good. I prefer this location. read more

There were three people ahead of me and three people working; sorta. One girl was making drinks, another was taking orders, and the third girl was sloooooooowly counting her cash drawer. You would think she was paid by the minute by the way she was counting those 15-20 $1 bills. Not a real biggie since I'm sorta used to these younger folks not having any sense of urgency for anything but their phones. I finally made it to the front of the line and ordered my three drinks for just under $16. It was a big disappointment that they don't fill the cups up all the way and they don't blend the fruit up enough; you end up struggling to suck a big chunk of strawberry/banana through the straw. How crappy can service/quality get these days? If you really want to find out, just visit this Jamba Juice. For those do-it-yourselfers, avoid this place and try blending strawberries, bananas, plain yogurt, OJ, and some Minute Maid fruit punch concentrate (as a sweetener) at home. read more
