Prices seem high but not anymore than other stores that offer similar products and service. Food is just unbelievably high in July 2026. Maybe I'll look back in a few years and think it was inexpensive but I sure hope I'm making a lot more or I'll be barely eating. I love the different selection of products you can get at Sprouts and they are one of the only groceries in the Overland Park area that carries boars head products in their deli! I've always encountered nice employees and the store is always clean. I'm always feeling happy about what I found in their clearance section as well!

There are so many things on clearance and I accidentally found there big clearance section by the bathroom. They had a bunch of non-alcoholic drinks for a great bargain. They had items for me and my wife that we have never seen before and we love visiting health food stores back home in Illinois. They even had Shirley Temple Poppi drinks! I've never seen such a thing before! Staff here was very warm and welcoming. If the item isn't on clearance and you have to pay full price , it can be a bit pricey. The restrooms here were very hot like you're inside of a sauna. I visited the Sprouts on the Missouri side but nothing compares to this location! Highly recommend

I love this store because it's the nearest store to go to return Amazon products. It also has a wide variety of meat, selections, cheese selections, and an amazing hot bar. You can get food items ranging from pizza to fried chicken to Indian curry plus incredible soups like minestrone and clam chowder. They have a wide variety of salads and cold food items like Sushi and sandwiches as well to offer. I recently checked out their cake selection and was blown away by the variety of decorative cupcakes they have started to carry. There is a cute little space near the entrance where you can enjoy the hot/cold bar food items. Apart from the above selections, they also have tons of frozen products, dairy items, vegetables, holistic medicines like supplements, clean skincare and makeup, and so on available for purchase. However, if I compare it with other stores, the pricing does tend to be on the higher side. That's why I do not do all my grocery shopping here. it's always clean. The staff is friendly approachable, and very helpful. If not for groceries, I would definitely recommend you to going in and trying their hot bar because you wouldn't regret it!! It's literally a one stop shop with everything you could want.

The store itself is extremely clean, well kept and the staff is helpful. I am sometimes disappointed they don't have certain brands or flavors ( Mikey's regular flavor English muffins) and a few other things. Sometimes I wish they carried more local type items, night shade free bbq/ketchup that is made in KC. I can typically find all of my healthy food here, for my everyday cooking. When you become a member ( super easy and you get points and coupons) they have speciality prices on things like organic eggs, avocados, bacon, kombcha. These special prices are all the time for members. Totally worth it for organic avocados and eggs!!!! They sell other items in bulk, organic almonds, cashews, coconut shreds, spices, seasonings and such. Makes it really easy to refill your jars at home and much cheaper then always buying new jars. They carry grab and go items, health and beauty items and supplements/vitamins. If you are looking for a healthy grocery option, head to NG. Sometimes their veggie and fruit prices are cheaper than Whole Foods, sprouts and Hyvee ( and better quality).

Their produce department looks well maintained and properly sourced, they have a decent supplement department, their bulk spices are significantly superior and less expensive than their competitors, and you can't beat their pricing on eggs if you are an NPower member. The store always looks clean and the employees are always friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. My only complaints are the food selection in the store as well as limited fresh meat options (almost everything is frozen). And, I wish this location was larger like the ones in Lenexa, Lawrence, and Liberty. If it was larger, I would shop here more often.

The girl working at the register was super sweet. She helped me with my order, a chicken Caesar wrap with sweet potato rounds as my side. I also ordered a Snapple iced tea. What happened next changed everything about my experience. I was asked if I was going to dine-in or take-out. My response was "I'd like to dine in assuming you have wifi?" She responded that they did and gave me the password. A man behind the counter who I assume is the owner or manager then stepped in and berated her right in front of me. In a super harsh tone, he said to her "don't ever give the Wi-Fi password to anyone. We need to collect their email." It was super rude and unprofessional for him to yell at her in front of me (or at all). I felt awful for her. She apologized to me and I apologized right back to her. Needless to say, this put an awful taste in my mouth and clouded my experience at this business. Admittedly I did stay, enjoyed using the wifi and the same man delivered my food to my table without a word or a smile. The wrap was delicious and the sweet potatoes were good but not fully cooked. On my way out, I told this man how I felt and that his comment made me uncomfortable. He did not apologize and moreso defended himself and said that is how he does business. So... while PROTEIN HOUSE is spacious, convenient, and has fresh, healthy food, I'm not sure I'd return as a result. I hope he was just having a bad day. To the girl working the register if you read this, I'm so sorry again. I appreciated your help and you did nothing wrong.

We…read moreshop here several times a week and have generally trusted the pricing and customer service, which made this situation even more frustrating. A loaf of Brioche bread was clearly marked at $5 on the display stand, but it rang up at $7 at checkout. When we questioned it, the clerk went back, took a photo of the display and explained that the sign was only meant to "draw attention" and was not actually the price for that bread. That explanation made little sense, especially since the bread on the display appeared to be the same product. My wife later called and spoke with the manager, Kelly, regarding what we viewed as false or misleading advertising. Unfortunately, the response was dismissive and unapologetic. Rather than acknowledging the confusion or offering to make it right, the pricing display was defended by claiming the marked price applied to bread on the other side of the stand. What concerns me most is how many customers likely never notice these discrepancies. We only caught it by chance, and I suspect many others simply pay the higher amount without realizing it. After being longtime loyal customers, this experience and the lack of accountability have caused us to reconsider shopping here. Leadership should be aware of how situations like this are handled because customer loyalty can disappear quickly when trust is lost.

So I stopped in at the Emerald Forest during lunch one day. I was pretty sure this local health food and supplement store would carry it. They did have mineral salts deodorant -- two varieties in fact. The health and beauty section was probably the best-stocked part of the store, so I browsed around in the toothpastes, soaps and lotions for awhile. Every product I picked up was cruelty-free, and most were organic too. I made my way through the rest of the store more quickly because unlike the health and beauty aides, the other sections weren't quite as well-stocked, that is until I reached the vitamins and supplements. Emerald Forest's selection rivals GNC in this area, which must be their bread and butter. If you're used to the robust offerings at Whole Foods you won't be impressed by Emerald Forest. But if you just need the odd jar of amino acids or a big bottle of multi-vitamin and mineral supplements with whole food concentrates, they can hook you right up.

When stacked against giants like Whole Foods, you have to come in expecting that merchandise would be on the low side but here it's almost non-existent. I stopped counting the empty produce bins and shelves early on. Selection was scarce for many of my usual staples - cereals/granola, yogurt and pizzas. Their selection of herbal teas weren't bad with a full line of Celestial Seasonings, Yogi and Stash teas. Unfortunately, I have had the pleasure of experiencing Trader Joe's and that makes me almost shy away from any other place because their selection, pricing and service always outshine the rest, including Whole Foods or Wild Oats. For small shops, I always look for quality, selection and the friendliness of the workers, all of which were lacking substantially at Emerald. Not my kind of jewel.

After a quick google search, I found Sunflower Orchard and was glad it wasn't too far of a drive. When we arrived, I will admit I was a bit disappointed by the size of the trees. I was hoping for large trees that the kids would have to climb up to get. The disappointment was short-lived because as soon as I tasted their fuji apple I was so excited to try other varieties. We grabbed a couple bags and went to explore their orchard and discovered some new varieties. Our favorites were the ultragold and winecrisp. There was a candy crisp that the kids also liked. I would highly recommend everyone to add Sunflower Orchard to their list of fall traditions!
