This location is huge and spacious with plenty of indoor seating. It was suggested to me from a few folks that know I appreciate good healthy food, so when my schedule opened up for lunch, I headed that way! The girl working at the register was super sweet. She helped me with my order, a chicken Caesar wrap with sweet potato rounds as my side. I also ordered a Snapple iced tea. What happened next changed everything about my experience. I was asked if I was going to dine-in or take-out. My response was "I'd like to dine in assuming you have wifi?" She responded that they did and gave me the password. A man behind the counter who I assume is the owner or manager then stepped in and berated her right in front of me. In a super harsh tone, he said to her "don't ever give the Wi-Fi password to anyone. We need to collect their email." It was super rude and unprofessional for him to yell at her in front of me (or at all). I felt awful for her. She apologized to me and I apologized right back to her. Needless to say, this put an awful taste in my mouth and clouded my experience at this business. Admittedly I did stay, enjoyed using the wifi and the same man delivered my food to my table without a word or a smile. The wrap was delicious and the sweet potatoes were good but not fully cooked. I love a good sweet and salty combo but I took the egg whites out of the pancake layers to eat it all separately. Overall the taste was very good, you could tell they were protein pancakes, but they had a good vanilla taste to them! There was a lot of seating options inside and the staff was nice. Kind of sticky and moist but also kind of drying in the mouth? Not great. The store closes at 6:00pm on Sundays. At 5:15pm, I tried to place an online order for pick-up. It wouldn't allow me to add anything to my cart. It was annoying that there was no message indicating why, but I figured it must be because the store is closing somewhat soon? Fair enough. I then called the store at 5:20pm thinking I would place the order for pick-up. I spoke with someone named Dan who didn't seem the least bit interested in communicating with me. He confirmed they close at 6:00 but told me me they were "not taking orders over the phone." When I tried to ask an additional question, he hung up on me. I'm not sure what company policy actually is, but it's pretty disappointing to have my business turned away without an explanation -- especially given I was trying to place the order a full 40 minutes before the listed closing time. There are dozens upon dozens of full-service and fast casual restaurants within two miles of this Protein House location. They were gracious enough to trade out the egg whites on the pH burger for true eggs and they did a great job cooking those well as I requested. I ordered my burger, medium, and it came out well done. I asked if they could add bacon and they did. They failed to tell me that it was actually some turkey chewy substance. Not actually bacon as most people know it. The cost was $21. In the same shopping plaza I'm sure I could've got something at one of the other restaurants that would've been much more appetizing. But it was worth a shot. A lot of their protein bowls look very good just not what I was going after this evening. Definitely give some other other items a try. Unfortunately, Proteinhouse appears to be on its way to closing. Much of the equipment is in disrepair, the front door is broken, only one person preparing the food, etc. My $13 bowl of oatmeal took almost an hour to bring to the table. I measured the depth of the serving, it was exactly one quarter inch of oatmeal that just barely covered the bottom of the bowl. There was a couple of pecans and about five banana slices on the oatmeal as well. I know it's hard to find good help, and prices have gone sky high over the last few years, but the sad fact is that no one wants to go back to a place where there is zero value for your hard earned dollar. read more

Check before you pay!!! I ordered a lean chicken bowl with my five toppings and sauce. The computer rang up my chicken as $13 rather than the $12 on the menu in the restaurant. They also tried to charge me $1 for the sauce that was included. There is also a credit card charge. I decided to pay in cash and was still charged that fee. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was not one on duty- noon on a Saturday. They eventually took the $1 sauce off and told me there was nothing they could do about the price on menu being different from the register. Eventually they gave me a discount. The staff are nice and polite! Pretty much the only good thing about the place:) ...the food's another story. My sis and I split a Greek bowl and the Choco Monster Pancakes. Everything came out to around $25, which isn't terrible for the amount of food we received. However, the quality was pretty bad. I feel like the items we had were what gives protein/fitness/"healthy" food a bad rep. The bowl had a turkey patty in it but it was essentially quick heated, cut, and added unseasoned on top of a mix of also unseasoned vegetables. Combined with the rice everything was pretty dry and bland. What could have made it better would have been a light dressing or vinaigrette. The pancakes looked really good! But the protein powder came out a bit too strong and bitter. There are plenty of box protein pancake mixes that manage to avoid this, so you're probably better off getting those and doctoring some up at home. To top of the aftertaste, deez cakes were SO dry. We had to douse them in syrup (interestingly there were no sugar-free options) and even then only felt obligated to finish them as not to waste our money. Have no idea if their drinks, burritos, or savory breakfasts are any good but I'd definitely find someplace else or stay at home if you're trying to find a "health" foods restaurant. read more
