First, ordering - likely someone is walking out to get your order as you drive around the building. Ordering is easy (not a bad idea to look up a menu online so you aren't slowing everyone down). Now, the food. Little Top is mid. You aren't going to be amazed. You're not going to cry as you bite into the food and taste covers your tongue. I got the cheeseburger, chili and cheese hotdog, fries, and a drink. It was slightly under $20. The cheeseburger was nothing special and, I suspect, those who laud it are being nostalgic. Toppings are standard and the burger itself not special. Some of the pics on the Google are going to show a lovely burger. My burger's mugshot is included. Your mileage may vary. The hotdog was a mix. The hotdog itself was decent in taste. It wasn't appealing in looks. I had to eat it separately since the whole thing was a mess. The chili was so-so. I'm not a fan of beans in chili on hotdogs, which I should have asked about. Still it was clearly chili in taste. The ability to pick up the hotdog as a whole and eat it with your hands was not happening. The fries and drink were your standard fare. Should you try it? Sure. Should you go off your route or out of your way to try it? Nah.

Food has always been good. My family drove 40 minutes to the resturant to pick up food for dinner…read more When we got home there was a receipt not itemized attached to a bag. The receipt read what we paid which was around $65.83 When we arrived back home there was an extra pack of 4 tacos and a half bag of chips that looked like it maybhave been part of someone's lunch in the back. I called Martinez mexican resturant to see if I was charged for the extra tacos and to tell them about the chip misshap. A boy, or who I am assuming was of the immature nature answered the phone. After 4 times of telling him the issue, he stated that there is no one else but Sabrina who speaks English that I could speak to. My response was that I didn't care if they spoke English, they could probably understand the issue better than him. He stated that it was my fault for not asking for an itemized receipt, he didn't see an issue and hung the phone up. Is this really how you treat return customers? Is this how you do business? I suggest the owner get someone more qualified to handle the customer service aspect and leave the little boy to doing the dishes. We as a family will never return and I ensure to tell everyone that I boasted to about your food to ask for an itemized receipt as to make sure your order is correct and you know what you are paying for.

I did…read morehear a lot about it from Southern word of mouth, but they are definitely a regional chain that operates in the South. If there's any in other regions of the nation, I'd love to know, especially if they ever end up in the Northeast. So after I was taken to a Bible Study, my brother finally took me to my first Cook Out. For those back home who visit the South, don't sleep on these! They will definitely fill for a cheap price. How cheap you ask? Two tray meals will only set you back $16 and change. To compare, I had to pay almost the exact same price for one meal at WingStop where I live! And for how much you pay, these actually pretty good! My brother had the Double Tray with a chicken quesadilla and hush puppies. Mine was the BBQ Tray with the cheddar bites and the walkin' taco. The barbecue is about as good as it gets for a chain restaurant, and the meal is miles better than any McSad's you would go to. The walkin' taco I needed a spoon to eat because that's how you get inside the bag. The cheddar bites could be better, but they're still about Wayback Burgers quality of food which isn't a bad thing at all. If this is how your typical Cook Out gets, then you got a good regional chain anytime you make a trip to the South.

I've tried a number of Cook Outs across Tennessee. Greeneville's location is, by far, the worst. At this location I can't tell if they are closing the doors for good and just want to get rid of things before the doors lock, or they've just opened for the first time and have no idea what to do. My experience at other locations creates a glimmer of hope at the Greeneville location, but when I try it I am typically left wondering how this location keeps the lights on, but the long lines prove me wrong time and time again. Please, let me help, Cook Out. If the burger patty is crunchy, it should not be placed on the burger. If sauce is to be added, please don't try to add enough sauce to overpower (or maybe soak?) the dry, leathery patty. Just get a fresh patty and use that one. Yes, it's fast food. Yes, you should try to work with expediency. No, you should not do so to create a mess in creating, wrapping, and packing the food. While you may have decent shakes, I remind you that Sonic and Dairy Queen are far, far too close for you to rest on your laurels at better service. If you've read this far and are looking for food recommendations, I recommend you go to Pal's, just a short drive down the road.
