We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered the restaurant. Even though we had made a reservation, we were given the choice of 3 tables, which we really appreciated. We ordered two cocktails to start. I had the Flora Mexican which was amazing! it was floral, a little sweet, a little sour and just the perfect amount of yum. I loved it. My husband had the Improved Whisky Cocktail. It was also very good, with Rye, Maraschino and a nice hit of Absinthe. We decided to share some items from the crudo part of the menu. We had the salmon carpaccio which came with squid ink crackers and some lovely little pickled items. It was outstanding. We had the tuna tataki which also had lots of little pickled items and was amazing, but for me the actual tuna stole the show. The last item we ordered was the venison tartare. OMG, it was fabulous. The flavour of the venison was wonderful and the chili and capers just added so much to the dish. The cured egg yolk shaved on top gave it a subtle hint of saltiness. Everything was fantastic. The service was great and the ambience was too. We will most definitely be back when we return to London. Highly recommend this place.

A really nice pleasantly decorated restaurant with quality dishes and superior service. The ample…read morelighting and tasteful paintings (including one of oysters in black and white) provided an appropriate backdrop to a delicious meal. The menus were bound in leather! I'd never seen that before. The Caesar salad appetizer was delicately doused in a dressing and covered with a delicate Parmesan cheese. The dried ham belly bits provided ample flavor to the dish, though they ran on the slightly salty side. The special club sandwich was top notch with nice pieces of chicken, not dry, ensconced in fresh bread. The ricotta gnudi was essentially a ricotta mixed with pasta dough to create a gnocchi. The texture was really neat and they were nicely browned. The carrot sauce provided excellent flavoring to the dish, and the carrots were nicely cooked. The sesame tuile was really cool, though I wasn't sure how it related to the rest of the dish. The arctic char, placed in a broth, was also excellent, though not without (imo) defects. The char was cooked beautifully, crispy skin on one side and good fish texture underneath. The potatoes tasted nice with the broth, perhaps actually too plentiful. The big issue I had was the bok choy, which was charred in most leafly places. I know that that's how restaurants do the veggies these days, but charred veggies doesn't taste good, and they're not good for you. Also, it meant that the veggies were charred on the exterior, but marginally cooked (i.e. soft) in the interior. It also caused the broth to contain something of a burnt flavor. I might wish that the menu contained more than 6 mains. A few more items would have been nice to choose from, but I do understand also the desire to focus on a limited number of dishes. A must-check out place!

This is an update to a previous brunch review that had some issues. The manager kindly reached…read moreout and provided a $100 gift card to entice us to give them another try. This time was a dinner for three. We started with a dozen oysters on the half shell that were fresh and delicious. Appreciated that we were notified that they have Happy Hour Tues-Fri 3pm-5pm with 1/2 price oysters. Also had the Fried Smelts which were tasty. Two of us had Craft burgers. This time they did arrive as ordered (last time med rare arrived well done) but they mixed the orders. One was med rare and the other rare. Not nice having to change burgers after each taking a bite. Despite the mix up the juicy burgers and fries were excellent. The other order was the Braised Beef Cheek Birria Grilled Cheese. This was very good but a touch pricey at $28 for what you get. Speaking of price, the craft burger is $24. I asked for a side of mayo for the fries and it arrived promptly. They charged $2 for the mayo which was not mentioned. Considering that our total bill ran $250 it seemed out of place to charge for mayo. One of the best reasons to come to Craft Farmacy is to try craft beers which they rotate regularly. We each enjoyed a beer or two. For desert we ordered their Chai Crème Brûlée and Crack Pie with gelato. Both are highly recommended. We also had glass of sherry that unfortunately was off and had to be sent back. Replaced with a glass of Port. When the bill arrived the sherry was not removed, they did take it out when we caught the mistake. Our meal was much better than the last visit. All of the food was well prepared this time but the little mistakes on burger mixup and sherry on the bill were disappointing. Still if looking for a good burger and a great beer you can do a lot worse than Craft Farmacy.

Everyone loved their food and I've heard several people say that it's their new favourite restaurant. Our waitress was Christina and we were all impressed. She was so kind and very helpful. My daughter-in-law & I both have food allergies so she made sure to point out what we could eat. She had another table to take care and yet she didn't get flustered or make us feel that she was in a rush. It was definitely a wonderful experience. Billie Jo G.

The main problem was the very slow service. I wish we had timed the period between getting drinks (from a very limited Pepsi-based non-alcoholic selection) and when our server returned to take our order. It was probably a full 15 minutes, during which there were no interactions at all with wait staff. When she finally came back, she acted like she had just left, with no apology. After the food was delivered (in a reasonable amount of time) by other staff members, our server reappeared one more time and I finally got a refill of my empty glass (probably 10 minutes empty). Then, no more visits until we flagged her down for the check. Then the funny part: My daughter was almost out of Pepsi and the server asked if she wanted a refill. My daughter said, "Yes, could I get a to-go cup?" Instead of bringing a regular new cup of Pepsi, the server brought back a small plastic cup, barely larger than a Dixie cup, for my daughter to pour the watered-down remains of Pepsi from her regular glass into. No "to-go drink" was offered besides that. And it was just a fountain Pepsi! The whole experience was just frustrating. They were badly short-staffed, but no one acknowledged how long everything was taking. What keeps it out of 1-star territory is that the food was solid. Not the greatest ever, but if the service were decent, I probably would have rated the whole thing highly. I got the chicken curry and it was good.
