This is an update to a previous brunch review that had some issues. The manager kindly reached out and provided a $100 gift card to entice us to give them another try. This time was a dinner for three. We started with a dozen oysters on the half shell that were fresh and delicious. Appreciated that we were notified that they have Happy Hour Tues-Fri 3pm-5pm with 1/2 price oysters. Also had the Fried Smelts which were tasty. Two of us had Craft burgers. This time they did arrive as ordered (last time med rare arrived well done) but they mixed the orders. One was med rare and the other rare. Not nice having to change burgers after each taking a bite. Despite the mix up the juicy burgers and fries were excellent. The other order was the Braised Beef Cheek Birria Grilled Cheese. This was very good but a touch pricey at $28 for what you get. Speaking of price, the craft burger is $24. I asked for a side of mayo for the fries and it arrived promptly. They charged $2 for the mayo which was not mentioned. Considering that our total bill ran $250 it seemed out of place to charge for mayo. One of the best reasons to come to Craft Farmacy is to try craft beers which they rotate regularly. We each enjoyed a beer or two. For desert we ordered their Chai Crème Brûlée and Crack Pie with gelato. Both are highly recommended. We also had glass of sherry that unfortunately was off and had to be sent back. Replaced with a glass of Port. When the bill arrived the sherry was not removed, they did take it out when we caught the mistake. Our meal was much better than the last visit. All of the food was well prepared this time but the little mistakes on burger mixup and sherry on the bill were disappointing. Lovely resto on Wharncliff. Fab brunch on the weekend. Includes wine, beer or mimosa with your main. Comes with these lovely little scones too. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Gets a bit noisy on the weekend. Parking can be tough too but they have an arrangement with Mufflerman next door for overflow parking. The smoked salmon, latkes and salad were wonderful. We went on a Saturday night and it was busy and loud - so loud that we struggled to hear our own table mates - but that was the ONLY slightly negative thing I can say about this place. The cocktails we incredible! I had the smoked Old Fashion and oh my word! I actually had two. The appetizers were great and shareable. Craft Farmacy is a gem of a place. They boast a generous selection of beers - highly recommend the Innis & Gunn Mangoes on the Run IPA - and wines, as well as a highly qualitative food menu. My husband and I shared a delicious fried cauliflower appetizer. He then had their burger, and I indulged in the bone marrow as a main. Both were absolutely exquisite, with what tasted like carefully sourced ingredients. High marks for our waiter Corey (apologies if I got the spelling wrong), the epitome of friendliness and professionalism. He advised us exceedingly well on the wine side of things and our orders came in quickly. The food was great but this place is very loud and almost impossible to have a conversation. We decided to book this as our Christmas party get-together spot and arrived on time to find that they were not ready for us. We watched as a rowdy group of men left what would become our table and move to the bar where their party continued... they were cat-calling women, making rude comments and refused to keep their voices down. We were finally seated 15 minutes after our reservation time, forced to stand at the entrance doors next to the group that had been asked to leave the table that would become ours. Without a single seat at the bar, we couldn't even order drinks while we waited. This group made it impossible to hear anyone at the doors or our table including the wait staff. Hands down one of the best brunches I've had in A LONG time! The space is bright and airy, the service was quick and friendly, the Caesar was delicious and the food was outstanding! Better yet, the coffee was good too!!! I had the hardest time choosing what I was going to eat. There's many options and they all look good. I love that brunch starts with fresh scones. Overdue review time! We actually visited this place a few months ago but it seems my unfinished review has been sitting as a draft since. We started with a few things including the cheese board which was a lovely spread and impressive portion size. Admittedly it came with a ridiculously small amount of crostini so we had to ask for more bread multiple times to finish the board. We also had the bone marrow which was some of the best I've had. There were little bits of meaty goodness still attached to the bone as well which just hit near meat-based orgasm levels of taste. My girlfriend got a fish plate of some sort which at first seemed priced a bit high, but was validated with the size of the meal itself and the flavours did not disappoint. I had the lamb burger, which was admittedly the only thing that didn't really win me over. There was something in the mix of flavours that just didn't jive with me, not entirely sure what it was. But the mountain of french fries that came with it again justified the price tag of what was on offer. Rounding out this review, I will say the craft beer selection is awesome. Lots of local London brews and other Ontario craft selections worth trying. Overall, very impressed with this place and will likely be back in future London visits. read more

Really great experience! This restaurant was part of Londonlicious but we ordered off the main menu. I'd say the highlight was my Caesar - it comes with an oyster and other accessories for $12! I also ordered the salmon ($28) off the entrees which was really well done. It was very tender and a good sized portion. It was accompanied by Brussels sprouts and a celery root hash brown, with a sweet sauce base. Overall all the flavours really complemented each other and I really enjoyed the dish. My friends ordered some oysters which they said were delicious! I would definitely come back, they usually have walk in tables as well if you can't get a reservation! read more

Portion sizes were more than adequate. The menu is varied and the other selections looked excellent. The prices are on the high side but you get what you pay for here. We had a fantastic dinner - think we've found our new clubhouse. We were with a large group, so sampled lots of shareable plates, including a glorious seafood tower, cheddar and charcuterie boards, and warm olives. They have some excellent craft cocktails and an extensive beer and wine list. Ambiance is casual and cozy, and the service was great, especially given that we were a group of 12 on a busy night. Given this is a new restaurant, I wanted to give a very honest review so they can do better. We had a reservation for 10 people. Our table was in the front corner by the door - completely secluded from the rest of the dining room, and absolutely freezing cold as we were basically in the breezeway. (Andrew, scrap that table - it's awful) The apps and entree menu was very well rounded. No complaints on the cuisine selections. But the prices were far too high on some items. The drink menu that was presented to each of us was pages long, and quite overwhelming - after our table selected their beverages of choice from this catalogue.. the server advised us, virtually none of these beer were in stock, and we were to refer to the 'board' for the beer on tap (the board was not visible from our table - and the server did not give any suggestions #unprofessional) The entrees are served with popovers, and you can add a side. These sides are not available for purchase separate from the mains, which doesn't make any sense at all. Having a side salad or soup available for purchase is standard for any restaurant. (Maybe they are - but the server was adamant that they were not) The most undeniable problem with the entire experience was the horrendous service. This man thought he was the world's best server - meanwhile, I would be more than hesitant on returning because of his poor etiquette and lack of professionalism. 1) he did not introduce himself, welcome us, or advise us of any specials. (which I saw on the board in the kitchen - so I know he was just neglectful) 2) he was abrupt, rude, appeared annoyed, and had zero personality (other than narcissistic). 3) his etiquette was none existent. How he took orders, placed the plates on the table.. even how he cleared the table - brutal. ** my mother had a very similar experience with the service on her two visits to Craft Farmacy. She had vividly described his etiquette to me, and when I arrived and he opened his mouth, I knew I was 'lucky' enough to have the same server. ** on her visit - as part of the Londonlicious menu, their dessert of choice was served in a glass jar. These custards had black inside the jar on the bottom. When the server came back around they asked him what it was - without an answer, he quickly 'grabbed' all four jars from in front of his guests and took them back to the kitchen. He returned to their table empty handed and advised them it was vanilla. When they asked for them back (since they hadn't eaten them, or asked for him to take them away) - he responded "too late for that". #rude Basically, the menu was well rounded. The food was prepared and presented quite well. The starters are overpriced. The dining room/atmosphere I can't comment on because our table was not in it. But, Chef!! That server needs to go. From what I understand - this guy is a local industry professional, and quite possibly a friend of yours. Time to sever that relationship - it's true that good help is hard to find, but he is not good help. read more

Seating options are banquettes, bar dining, tables and one cool curved booth. They might want to install window coverings on the front windows so that diners aren't looking onto busy Wharncliffe. You can see the raw bar as you head towards the restrooms. If you ask nicely, they'll describe its contents to you. Impressive tableware. Fine napkins, elegant utensils, appropriately refined glassware. Goldilocks on the oyster selection - not too many, not too few. All delicious. A traditional service, on the half-shell, over ice, with arugula, freshly grated horseradish and lemon. Hot sauce at your discretion. Wines by the glass are on the pricey side; $19 for a 9 oz. glass is a bit rich for London. More Ontario/Canada spirits than you've ever seen on one menu. Same for the craft beers. Lamb burger was moist ($18). Good bun to cheese to meat proportion. Served medium-rare as requested. Enormous portion of clams ($18). They were a tetch too salty (I would order them half-salt next time) and just a bit overdone. Outstanding service by Cody. He made sure that all my allergies were accommodated, provided me with a sip of wine to taste, and recommended oysters. Highly recommended. Looking forward to a return visit. read more

Our firs time at this very delightful eatery. We love the fact that the focus is on "craft" meaning the virtual non- existence of mainstay large brands are present. The menu is very interesting in the composition and non-typical selections. We had a lunch selection of duck confit over a splendid bed of saffron spiced rice topped off with a delightful lightly encrusted duck egg. The second offering was an open face hanger steak sandwich served with warm potato salad. If you have not been a patron of Craft Farmacy. It is one of those places to dine in London. Amazing meal tonight at Craft Farmacy. A small group of friends went to CF tonight to celebrate a birthday. The service was top notch there is not one thing I would change. The food was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The charcuterie board was jam packed with many different meats and cheeses and lots of bread to go with it. The mark of a great restaurant is consistency, and this establishment falls very short. Some of the things we ordered were quite tasty, my sister ordered the cauliflower which she quite enjoyed, and a couple other friends ordered the cheese platter which in their defense has a generous portion of cheeses BUT getting enough bread was like pulling teeth which confused me, we asked for more bread immediately because they literally had like 4 little pieces on the board, and after a long wait they brought out 3 more...really? 3? Have I been out of the loop and bread is now this high end commodity? Someone else ordered extra cheese on a dish and wanted bread and they again brought 2 pieces so we had to actually ask they bring a decent amount, which took FOREVER...ridiculous! We also ordered their nachos which were bland and tasteless and they had no sour cream, that's a deal breaker in my world LOL. Won't be returning...mediocre at best I would avoid. read more

So 4 stars is what I've decided to give this yearling of a restaurant only because I can see the chef owner is truly putting forth an earnest effort. This type of restaurant is what London is sorely in need of. A trendy spot reminiscent of a big city bistro. Only in town for 36 hours, I chose this place on Yelp based on their eclectic menu. I'm here with my brother and his wife. They're not fussy and not a foodie like myself. They each ordered a burger @#$%&%. A Lamburger and a Hamburger. Both with fries. Pshaw ! We started with a grilled and fried octopus appetizer Tho quite good, and a different take on an old standby, one or the other treatment woulda been enough. ( too much of a good thing) However the accompanying Romesco Sauce was outstanding!!! The Hamburger with bone marrow butter was outta this world while the Lamburger was entirely Toooo Lammy if that is even possible. I ordered the duck confit poutine and bone marrow with oxtail marmalade. The bone marrow, I heard, was really great although I'm not sure cause those 2 left me just a smidgen. The duck poutine would have neen fantastic except for the fact that, by this time, there was a glut of house cut fries on the table. The cause of the gluttony of house cut fries was due to an oversight caused by the kitchen by not having any vegetables offerings in house except squash!!! On to dessert. Pumpkin tart and Mocha Moose Dacquoise. Both needed help. We asked for ice cream. No such thing. If the server woulda ck on us we would have requested whipped cream. If there even was any. The pumpkin tart was very one dimensional and the crust was soggy. The mocha moose was more bark then moose. And the dacquoise though tasty fell short by being thin as a wafer. Dinner for 3 with 3 drinks plus tip, $200 On my return next year I'll ck on Yelp to see how they're doing and perhaps give them another try. read more

Had a fantastic dinner with family. Oysters were fantastic - served traditionally. We had the duck, it was cooked to perfection and an appropriate portion size.
