First of all, I should have looked elsewhere when the owner didn't return phone calls and then was late for our first appointment. With the invention of cell phones, there is no reason to leave anyone waiting unexpectedly. Now onto the quality of their work. The polished edges look as though they were training an apprentice. Two of the slab had to be sent back to grind the radius corners into an actual radius. One of the slabs was mis-cut and they thought I wouldn't notice. The front of the slabs are not in line with the front of the cabinets. Why do a template if you're not going to align the slabs. One slab on the side of the range is not level and is obvious. The slab between a wall and refrigerator panel was cust about a quarter of an inch narrow. That's fine if they would have split the difference. But, no. They shoved it on an angle to one side. It looks like a mess. The sink cut out looks as though the apprentice was either drunk or just plain didn't give a crap. When I asked the male owner what he thought about it, his response was, "Could we have done better? Yes. Is it acceptable? Yes." The installer got caulk all over my cabinets and when I asked the owner how I could get it off, it was suggested I use paint thinner or something like that. Yep. Use paint thinner. Morons. I ended up using mineral spirits. Why was it up to me, the customer, to have to do that? It was on me if I took the finish off my brand new custom cabinets. They should have sent someone to do that. And don't get me started on their ability to caulk the tile backsplash to the new counter top. Pathetic mess. And the silicone all over my new sink is a real treat. Perhaps I expect more for $4000. We didn't use level one granite. We used manufactured stone which is more expensive. Save yourself the grief and look elsewhere.

Because of Darren, we do it every day! Darren refinished a ~30 year old hardwood floor that had yellowed, shown wear from traffic, had missing pieces of wood, and damage from chemical spills. From the very first time I reached out, his communication was excellent. He visited our home to see the floor, take measurements, and recommend and explain a refinishing process. Darren gave us options for type of polyurethane, colors, finish (matte vs. gloss) while offering recommendations from his many decades of experience. Within several hours we had a very fair quote and were booked several weeks out. Darren spent a few days on property and was incredibly respectful of our home and us when we would ask a question or two. He worked his magic to sand and protect our floor to a condition we would have never expected - just see for yourself. Overall, working with Darren was an exceptional experience that greatly improved our living space for the next couple of decades and likely longer.

Instead of do it right the first time and make sure the homeowner is 100 percent happy the first go around and hope if at all call backs are minimal. Most big companies already have the name so now it's the money that keeps them going and the workers still receive the same pay no matter how poor their quality of work and the owners have enough revenue and resources to brush off small inconveniences. The small guys like me however without the big name or big company have to take pride in what we do because we know the quality provides the name and the revenue will follow in due time. A good name and quality go a good distance but a bad name and poor work travel much further. When you take pride in what you do and love every aspect of the project it's a passion not just a job. The negotiated price was reasonable and agreed upon by both parties prior to installation and scheduling. Very happy with the original service. Additionally, the door had a small issue, likely due to the humidity or workmanship of our home, Nazar came out very soon after reporting the issue to examine and provide both advice and offered continued services should any other issues occur.

I liked how they were flexible multiple reschedules due to my busy schedule. I primarily worked with Dan, the new owner of Budget Blinds of Chester. He was really great and professional. One first visit, we talked about the different options (blinds, shades, rollers, curtains, etc) and priorities (black out vs light, texture, color, etc). Staff also measured the window sizes. All of my questions were answered. After picking the final option, I received a cost estimate and paid 75% of total cost. I think the prices were reasonable and I liked how they have not only lifetime warranty but also a 5-year "no questions asked" replacement policy - aka for whatever reason you can have them replaced even if its not an issue about their actual product. Then, they coordinate with you the installation time/date. Mine took roughly 3 hours but it varies depending on size and difficulty, etc. When it was all done and ready, I then paid the remaining costs. I really liked how my shades turned out!! I wish they gave me updates between placing my order to a couple days before installation, but overall they were attentive and respectful of my needs/schedule and the prices were affordable. Would recommend!
