While knowing that I would not be purchasing carpeting from them, the staff at Wertz could not have been more helpful. They spent over an hour with me, explained the different types of carpeting, assisted with selections, and allowed me to take home samples (and even carried them to my car). Ok, so we had quite a job and a tight timeframe too. We had a tile floor that we found (after starting a kitchen remodel) that we would have to remove. Wertz allowed us to take home a piece so we could see it in our own lighting, they were the only one to call us back with regard to an estimate, and while expensive they delivered on the timing and even gave us the ability to delay install after initial tear-out. Both the tear-out crew and installers were clean and fantastic. They even worked with our existing dumpster that we already had onsite giving us a discount on the tear-out. The product we put in was their Adura Max vinyl plank floor by Mannington and unlike Home Depo and Lowes alike they were able to work with our existing wood floors and match up new transition pieces. Probably the one thing we had an issue with was their scheduling staff giving us a call back, but with one complaint they corrected the issue and we had no other problems. We also had a few tiles that were damaged on install (only noticed after we were cleaning up) and they were out and fixed the issue promptly. I would return. read more

I am embarrassed to say that Wertz was NOT my first call for my flooring needs, but after their superb service, l am thankful it was my last! I had contacted a few other companies that had "better" reviews on Yelp! But the first one actually told me that my job was "too small" for their company and "not worth their time". I was pretty dumbfounded and upset, to say the least. l then called another company with a 5 star review. The guy gave me a ballpark figure (a range of prices), came out to look and measure, but despite me calling to follow up (3x!!), they basically ghosted me. I was pretty angry and then hit Yelp! again. I ended up calling Wertz, told them my predicament (just needed stairs carpeted) and said l would be in later that day to look. The man that talked to me on the phone was also the same man that met us. He was more than kind and very professional. They actually quoted us almost $100 less than all the other quotes we got (l could get ballpark figures but no one else actually gave us an exact estimate for our home visit). Not only that, but he let us have some free samples! The BEST part? They came out the NEXT DAY to install the carpet! The installation was over within an hour! Amazing! Especially for this time of year (it's 12/21/18...Christmas is in a few days). We had to have our stairs carpeted because my parents are coming to visit and they are older. The finished wood stairs were great looking, but all of our family members have slipped within the short time we have been here. I would totally recommend them for your carpeting/flooring needs. I love that they are a family business and have been around for 40+ years. We will recommend them to our neighbors and anyone that has flooring needs in the future. Just because we were a "small" job, this company understands how business works and we will definitely NOT recommend the other places we were treated so awfully at but we will remember how wonderfully we were treated at Wertz. We love our new carpeted stairs and our aging dog, especially, is grateful to have a much easier way to get upstairs. Thank you, Wertz! John was very knowledgeable and explained the benefits of LVP to me, and provided great customer service through my numerous visits and questions. Once we made our selection, our product was in stock and we were able to have it installed within 2 weeks from ordering. Justin did a great job on the install, had a great eye for detail, and checked in with me throughout the process to make sure it was the way I wanted it, and kept everything neat and tidy as he worked. He showed up on time, and even sent a text each morning to let me know when he was on his way. The owner came out to my home to measure for all new carpeting upstairs. He was very polite and helpful, and he told me he would email my estimate by the next day. Two days passed without an estimate, so I called to ask about it. The young man who answered was very short with me, and told me my paperwork was on his desk and I would receive the estimate in a couple hours. I never received anything. Not a phone call, not an email. I would never do business with this company. Clearly they do not value their customers. read more

This company put in my carpets for my new home 30 yrs. ago; they replaced carpet on the stairs as well as several rooms of it over the years, Always, the service request, showroom visit and completion of the jobs were handled with the greatest professional attention, integrity, service standard and result and quality product suggestions, Over all the years I've known Wertz Flooring, I've never had a complaint. When I downsized, the carpet in my upper level rec room was the original carpet Wertz installed 30 years ago. It still looked fantastic for its significant age. I am now in a smaller home but I am preparing to have carpet installed on the stairs and in the upper level bedrooms. Again, I am contacting Wertz Flooring to do the jobs. I don't yet know what carpet or I'm using or Wertz's price but am confident it will be the same as or lower than the others out there. Importantly, I know they provide excellent products and excellent quality installation. If an unexpected problem develops with their work, they will correct it. If there is a physical problem involved in the installation, they will find a work around. Best of all, I feel I can trust them completely! read more

Still perfect! We we had the second story carpeted we didn't get the stairs redone. The carpet on the stairs did look semi decent, but after a year two adults and to kids tore through that cheep carpet. I called up and had them come out and do the stairs for us in the same carpet as before. They look great! read more
